My bookmarks have stopped working. When I went to Edit Bookmark I found they are all empty. I can create a new bookmark as usual, but I have over 300 bookmarks that no long function that are very important to my work. Is there any way I can possibly restore them, as my work depends on them?

Last night I had an operating system update. Before the OS update, I closed all open apps, including Firefox. In the past, the session I closed the previous evening was restored. But this morning, all my pinned tabs and other open tabs are gone, and Restore Previous Session does not appear as an option on the dropdown menu. Recently Closed Tabs is pretty random, not really helpful. Recently Closed Windows only shows one tab that I opened this morning (probably a mistake on my part). Is there any way for me to retrieve the session from yesterday?

when I clicked on firefox icon today, bing browser appeared and I was not able to use firefox until I downloaded firefox again. I would like to restore the firefox I was using, I had several windows open and my passwords stored there. please advise

I am currently trying to set up automatic backups to a local network folder. I have set browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML and browser.bookmarks.file via the about:config page. This creates the backup on X:\bookmarks.html as desired, but only this one backup. Is there another way to create the backups with a timestamp and to keep to the maximum number via browser.bookmarks.max_backups?

Yesterday, possibly related to updating to version 148, my profile completely disappaered. My old profiles are not visible under about:profiles, but are present on disk. They can not be imported with firefox -P. How do I get my profile data back?

I have checked that javascript is enabled and I do not have Ghostery or NoScript plugins. Interesting, the "support article" was hyperlinked and I could not access that either. (https://ds.tl/help-third-party-plugins, and the message is"server not found") I have rung Qsuper who advise me that there website is fine. Please advise any strategies. Many thanks in anticipation.

For the past 15-16 days, Firefox has been consuming extremely high memory.

The problem: - When Firefox first opens, it starts normally at around 300-400 MB - But after using it for about 1 hour, a single Firefox window grows to 1-2 GB of RAM - This keeps increasing the longer I use it (memory leak behavior) - Currently Firefox (41 processes) is using over 5,131 MB total memory on my system it's normal but after 1 hour a single firefox window grows to 1-2 GB of RAM

What I have tried: - The issue happens consistently every day for the past 15-16 days - Other browsers like Chrome and Chromium use much less memory in comparison

System info: - OS: Windows 11 - Firefox version: latest version 148.0.0.0

Please help me fix this memory leak issue. It is making my system very slow.

Tell me a working method of getting firefox to change my password so as to stop me having to sign in every time I need to use it. Worked before but doesn't work now.

For about a month I've had to use Chrome because my bookmarks scramble or become unoperatable, then about 4 days ago they started saving again & all bookmarks worked fine. This lasted about 3 days then went back to becoming dead or wrong (may all say 1 or 2) sites I visit. a restart may lose any new bookmarks, & the rest of my bookmarks are either wrong site or dead links. How do I correct? I have tried new downloads & the new Firefox acts just like the messed up version. Probably a simple setting but I give up, can't find the solution. Any help appreciated. When trying to access the Princess Cruise website I just keep getting a blank page. Princess says I need to remove extensions. I have read and read and to be honest I am totally confused. Please help.

Firefox is CONSTANTLY crashing now and I'm about ready to switch to another browser unless someone can give me a reason to stay.

I have a situation - which I had previously researched and resolved - that has come back to haunt me.

I use an ultra-widescreen monitor and searching/browsing obviously necessitates a center-screen search box which, up until now, Firefox has provided cleanly and with simplicity. However, I see that (once again) despite cursor placement in the center-screen box the search text is being entered in the address bar which is wholly impractical for me since I have to look about 60 degrees left and upwards to see what I am typing.

I say "again" because when this happened previously I was able to make a config change and resolve it but despite that still being in effect - the ".handoffToAwesomebar" is still set to FALSE - search text now has moved back to the address bar.

A brief search of this community yielded no answers. Is there any other known fix or has this now be thrust upon us permanently and thou shalt adapt?

Three days ago a window popped up asking me to update Firefox. I did and afterwards my personal bookmarks listing disappeared. I tried rebooting everything. No luck. I went to your website and followed all of your suggestions, but again nothing worked; mainly because I could not find on my computer the info the last step in your suggestions were asking for. (I did get a message several times telling me I was using an old Firefox profile. I tried to investigate, but each time your instructions told me to look for something as the last or next-to-last step, I ended not being able to find it on my computer. Again, I have tried everything. Please help me.
