Gentlemen, isn't your browser using a lot of RAM? I've been freaking out about it in recent years. That's only with 25 tabs open!! Despite the fact that the system was installed just a day ago, without any tweaks!!!

A while back they made an annoying change to the search field and I wondering if there's a setting to get it back to the way it was.

My default search is Google but lets say I want to buy something. I type "garden hose" in the search field and switch the search to Amazon. Nothing happens. It used to go automatically at that point. Now I need to press enter or the arrow next to the search field. Not a big deal but why did they change that?

Next I want to find out about the 15th US president. I open another tab and search for the "15th president" and it goes to Amazon again. I realized I changed my default search engine. It used to be that I could temporarily change the search engine and it would immediately go back to my default.

I think these 2 facts make the current search field much worse than before.

Is there some way to change it back? I looked over the settings but couldn't find anything.

Firefox is my browser. I use Yahoo.com for my email and news. On articles with videos attached, I get the message below (see uploaded image). It is trying to get me to accept adds in order to make full use of Yahoo.com capabilities. I do not want these adds. I thought my add blocker would prevent this. I use "Ad Remover". This just started this week. Before I was able to view any video loaded on the Yahoo cite. Any suggestions?

Since last update i'm unable to browse websites like youtube, social media and all other websites with video content. Video often fails to load,the wholewebsite is not loading, freezes while played or while exiting full screen mode. All of these freezes the browser - the site cannot be refreshed, links does not work. The only way is to close the tab with the freezed page or kill the Firefox process in windows Task Manager. Refreshing, re-installing, deleting or using different profile don't work. Same with add-ons. Seems like the issue lies within the browser and it started to appear since last update.

Firefox is my browser but unable to access email page, "Access denied. You don't have permission to access .... on this server". Internet operating ok otherwise. Also, I have an old Windows 7 laptop which works fine - emails available and open ok.

In Windows 11, how do I add the Firefox icon to the extreme top left of its webpages?

When I switch tabs to Firefox, typically using Alt+Tab, I am often unsure at first which program I am in. I have searched Firefox settings, and googled extensively, and there seems to be no way to add the icon back. I believe that it was once there, but I am unsure of this.

Almost every other program places its icon on the top left of its pages. Surely it is possible to do the same in Firefox, which just has an empty space there.

(But I am wrong on the last point, because Edge, which I rarely use, also has no icon there. Surely Firefox does not want to share any problem that Edge has!)

All the tabs, in both my profiles are constantly crashing. I cannot keep at a task for more than a few minutes without needing to restart the tab. Is this a setting problem? I've cleared the cache, and reset Firefox, to no avail. Thank you for any relevant advice and/or assistance.

I am using the Firefox browser. Lately it has been redirecting me to a malicious website: mercu-wgp.com/zclkvisitor. What can I do to prevent this? I have FF 150.0.3 64 bit on a W'11 computer.

EOM, basically. I click on my home page icon (which is www.yahoo.com). Firefox executes that properly, but totally on its own, goes blank within 30 seconds. Does not happen when using Google Chrome. This started happening about 5-7 days ago.

I have been with Firefox for years as default browser but recently been having probs. It wont open from Start or my taskbar. Keeps going to New tab at top of screen. Tried reinstalling but still the same. What has happened?

It was nice when FF was simple to use....unimcumbered with all the options...like the latest...profiles.

Why? It's getting to be as complicated as E and C..you don't need all those options - that's why I use FF.

Get rid, or allow the user, to pick and choose, and dump the unwanted stuff from cluttering the tool bar and other options. Just a suggestion that can be made to FF any longer. Use to be they'd welcome feedback.

why did you destroy the existing bookmark structure and replace it with something that makes no sense. I have no idea from where you obtained the url's for the stuff that's in bookmark's now. I also do not look forward to having to re-create all of the bookmarks I had in place. I won't be doing that on Mozilla! R Crider

I've never changed things from English and can't find how to change it back. There's a pop up window saying you want to have things in English. Yes I do but I don't want to do it every time I open the browser. Any help is appreciated.
