fire fox tabs not opening. Unfortunately there is a You tube video playing and I can not access it turn it off. the sound interferes with any other video that is played can any one help me with this

also  I have a presentation via zoom and the video will be playing in the back ground. it will be noisy

tabs not working:

Click on the tab but nothing comes up. the audio for you tube is playing but can not access it.

Click on the firefox I con and the tab buttons appear but click on them nothing happens. thanks

Hello, I didn't open Firefox from the 8th, I closed it normally as I always do with no worries since Firefox always launches with all my tabs+bookmarks saved and never remove cronology by itself. Guess updating must have done something, so I've read on the net and then here about some probable solutions, did find some files like recovery.jsonlz4 and .baklz4 along previous.jsonlz4 and sessionstore.jsonlz4 and saved them up in another folder, putting them back in the profile I've had on Firefox, but that didn't seem to have helped at all, Firefox still launches with nothing on and I don't know what to do anymore, so I've registered to ask for support here. Thanks.

When i want to open a link, using open in new tab. I do not want to be redirected to the new tab instantly. If I am opening multiple links or website. I don't want to be going back and forth between tabs. I tried about:config adjusting the inback features, but that is not working.

How can I set it that my open tabs are shown on the side panel? I used to be able to do this when I lived in the US but now that I have moved to Europe I am stuck with them on the top panel.

Hi. This just started happening, I think after the latest update (Firefox 87). When doing a Google or other search clicking a link used to open a new tab, leaving the original tab intact. Now clicking the link opens in the current tab. If I hold down 'ctrl' the link opens in a new tab. In Options I have 'Open links in new tabs....' checked. I also set 'browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInTabs' to true. I have turned off all add-ins and nothing has an affect. Any suggestions?

All of a sudden, my Firefox browser started Opening links in new windows instead of new tabs. In tools>options>tabs: Open links in tabs instead of new windows is check marked. it still opens in new window

Just added New Tab Version 1 to Firefox version 72.0.2 with DuckDuckGo as Search Engine and default page.

When I call for a new tab I get the message - "Access to the File Was Denied" and "The file at moz-extension://7b4a03b3-0438-454e-bf65-9629bce7ae58/newtab.html is not readable."

However, if I then click on the Firefox Home Page Icon (little house icon) I get straight to the Home Page with the search function available.

Anyone know why I get this interim error message, or why I don't get transferred straight to the Home Page?

Hello, I use Windows 7 with a Gateway computer. On the "new tab" page I pin sites,but, they are removed sooner or later for new sites. When I pin a site , I expect it to remain . So, even if I do not visit a site for a long time, is there a way to keep my pinned sites from being displaced ? Also, instructions say, "to show more or fewer top sites" to hover until the edit link appears. I try hovering all over but can not get the edit link to appear. Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you

Mac OS 10.10.2 Firefox 78.9

Problem: When I go back from full screen mode, the half top of tabs(more like the 2/3 part to the tab) becomes not clickable. Only way to solve it is just to restart the browser.

There is another thing that could provide a bit more info. No matter whether I've ever made it full screen or not, the 2/3 top area of the tabs will never turn grey when I put my mouse on it.

No add-ons and themes installed. Tried safe mode and it didn't works.

The same bug exists on the other Mac, which runs an older version of firefox.

Managing container still isn't easy. You can reopen a tab in a "no container" by clicking ON the tab itself but this option isn't available in the "always open this site in"

There NO option to move the "X coloc" tab to a "no" container.

For site that open new tab it doesn't open new tab in the same container

Exemple : Spotify i managing 2 account (one for me, one for the kids). I chose to alway open it in the "green" container, but as i try to login with Gmail while in the green, it open in a new "no container" tab instead of opening in a "green one". Worst i can see it going from green to orange no black.

So, only way to really do it for not : "X coloc tab" an use a private browsing

On old tabs, where I have opened google.com, there is infinite captcha! Once I solve it, it will immediately return back. I tried delete cache and cookies and restart PC. Nothing helped! I read on reddit it is known issue with Firefox!

I don't see another place to post this. If someone provides a link to a tracker I'll be happy to repost. I should also probably open these items in different posts. I will do so if required.

I see a few places where Multi-Account Containers can be improved:

1) More icons - ability to use all Google Material Icons, even if the ID is manually entered 2) More colors - with color wheel or entry of #RGB 3) From the Multi-Account Containers Support page, "The sync feature will align Multi-Account Containers on different computers" - This does not appear to be working with v87 on two systems. 4) Also from that page, "Assign a website to a container" does not appear to be documented: Three dot Page Actions in address bar > Alway open this in a container.

Am I missing existing functionality or documentation?

Hello, please forgive my language since it's not my native one, I hope it will be understandible...

Since the last firefox update, I've got an issue with my tabs. I use a lot of them (3000+) and it wasn't a problem until now : when I started my computer, firefox launched all the tabs of my previous session, but they loaded only when I selected one of them. I could still launch other program, play games etc

Now when I launch my computer, my memory is sucked dry by firefox (50% to 80%), firefox take a massive amount of time to launch and load my previous session (5 secondes before update, 5-10 minutes now) and I can't use it without some serious lags. If I try to open new tabs it's getting worst and worst. I've try to restart it, repair it etc, but when I try to reload my tabs with a backup, the same issue happen again...

Does someone has an idea to fix this ? Or what the problem can be ?

Why, why why? Why is every step forward (supposedly) for Firefox a step back for my experience?

Why do you continue to break things instead of fix them? Why?

Okay, enough of my rhetorical questions, here is my real question:

With my install of 78.8.0, my tabs moved above the location bar again. How do I get them back to below?
