For awhile now, I've been having an issue where alot of websites with pages that contain words or phrases that're linked to a URL, FF prints the URL in parentheses after the word or phrase. example... at the upper left corner of this page shows the Mozilla logo beneath the word Support...if I hover over that, it shows the link's URL in lower left of the screen & if I click on it a new tab or window will open to that URL... When I try to print, or open the page in Print Preview, it'll show the Mozilla logo underneath the word Support, then after that is (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/)... I've searched high & low in settings, the config pages, numerous searches and can't find anything on why this is happening &/or how to change/disable it, if it's some kind of setting, where the setting is/how to access it, etc... I also use the Print Edit WE extension & sometimes it even happens when I use that... Does anyone have any info about this issue/thing/pain in my butt... Any help will be greatly appreciated and help reduce my already way too high anxiety level... Thanks, Chris

On a fresh profile (newly created) i tried printing preview for MS-Word 2016 keyboard shortcut page https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Keyboard-shortcuts-for-Microsoft-Word-on-Windows-95ef89dd-7142-4b50-afb2-f762f663ceb2 but it just does not work (see attached images) only prints 3 images(just as it shows in the print view....>changing portrait|landscape|page margins|show back ground etc doesn't change anything) and improperly at that. However it seems to print all the pages in (and correctly at that) in IE and chrome....(both of their print view shows all the pages in their entirety which Firefox doesn't) .. I am using two pdf printers Nova Pdf v8.6 and Tracker PDF-Xchange Standard v7( I am sure both of them are doing their work properly as I can print to pdf exactly as it appears in print preview) Tried using system print dialog box (print.extend_native_print_dialog) but that also doesn't work...Also resetting printer configs doesn't apply to me as profile is fresh.... Documents are receipts from Walmart and Macy's. The page count of 2 in print preview is correct, but only page 1 displays and prints. Behavior is the same on another laptop with Windows7 and Firefox 43.0.4. The document prints correctly from Chrome.

We use the Adobe plug-in to open and print multiple PDF files from Firefox everyday. Staring last week every time we try and print a PDF file from Firefox it causes Firefox to freeze up, and the only option is to end the program. This is happening on multiple different computers. Two of the computers use Adobe Reader and have the most current version, one of the computers is using Adobe Acrobat version 10.1.15. We have tried all of the basic fixes (i.e. Restarting the computer/browser, starting the browser in safe mode, using the Refresh Firefox option, clearing the cookies and cache, disabling the plug-ins, etc...) nothing seems to be helping. Any insight into how to resolve this problem would be much appreciated.

I am looking to have default behavior to just save the page to my disk as a pdf which I can do manually but for some reason but setting about:config to default to this behavior is not working
I altered the about:config file to the following I set print_printer to "Print to File" print.print_to_filename was set to "/home/username/filename" print.print_to_file was also set to true
I reset firefox after making the changes and when I attempt to print a web page it still selects my physical printer, the location and file name are ok once I select "Print to File" I just want it to actually use that as the default printing device not my office printer.
To make extra certain the settings were correct I reset the about:config values to default restarted firefox set print.save_print_settings to true restarted firefox printed a page selecting the values I wanted, printing the page to a pdf file. went back to about:config noted the values were what I wanted and set print.save_print_settings back to false, restarted firefox And it is still selecting my office printer.
If it matters the printer is an HP, would rather not uninstall it.

Every time I try to print or Ctrl+P my whole firefox just freezes. I tried disabling hardware acceleration. It did not work. I tried running the print in Safe mode; still freezes. I tried help > Troubleshooting > Refresh Firefox - did not work.
Lastly, I tried uninstalling Firefox on Control panel - and reinstalling it. That worked. My history, bookmarks came back - but that is the 2nd time I had to do this.
Everytime it crash, it usually comes with a Window error message stating plugin-container.exe failed. I did not take the screenshot.
If you need a report, please let me know how I can provide one for you.

When I print a web page, the other columns on many pages overlap with the content I'm trying to print resulting in an unreadable printed pages. This issue does NOT occur in other browsers so I've had to resolve by printing using IE or Chrome. I've tried ALL of the recommended fixes on your help topics with NO fix. All my print page settings are at the recommended default and I've reset the printer properties via your help topic recommendation. Can you help? My printer is a HP laserjet 2200d. My OS is Windows 7, 64-bit.

And this had been the status until the minute before: For several weeks I had not been able to print out neither any page directly from a Website out of Firefox nor one which has been created as pdf-file out of a form or procedure on a Website. So I could neither record ordering-protocols nor simply print documents or at least a location plan out of a route planner. Up to now, I took this as printer problem as I added another net-printer to my Notebook. However, i finally had to solve it! On the other hand I could print out of other Internet-Browsers but don't want to use them for several applications and reasons.
However, developing this description of my printing problem, taking the uploaded screenshot, somehow, don’t ask me exactly how it did it, suddenly I could see the upper edge of the page-settings-window. Fore sure I tried to do this for weeks and for sure a hundred times without any move of the upper edge down.
What I found then and there in the ‘margin’ box I could not believe 2500.00 ! It’s just the answer of my question - giving it myself! And this explains too, that for a simple Website or documents page hat been created at least a dozen of pages or much more without any text, letter or picture on it.
A FIREFOX PROBLEM: But at the same time it shows a big problem of this ‘print-settings-Window': by any reasons every user might be able to create wrong settings (large numbers – made by accident or anyhow) might shift the upper edge of the page-settings-window out of sight and unreachable first to find the mistake and second to correct the entry.
However, I still don’t have the real explanation how I suddenly could see the upper edge of the page-settings-window with this incredible number 2500.00. But during the trial to find the OK button, which now had been vanished with the lower edge of the page-settings-window, I found that I could go through all boxes of the form using the Tab-key – finally so I could confirm and enter OK for the correct margin.
In the same manner I might have reached before the upper edge of the page-settings-window.
Hopefully this will help you to correct this problem with your next Update-Version, which might have driven mad already a lot of Firefox users.
But with that connected there is a SECOND and still harder PROBLEM: On several Websites, also on your support Website of Firefox, this will lead to crash the Firefox program. Especially, and this is very important to remark, if the printing process had been started with those wrong set pages the printing process goes on and on, does not finish and can't be stopped without ending Firefox, which mostly leads to crashes by this action. Further on, starting Firefox again after this crash and restoring the crashed Tabs again the printing process starts again in the same manner generating the next crash.

I cannot explain how this problem occurred since I had been printing in portrait. When I fo to print in FF the print dialogue box shows a horizontal page with a number one in it. I cannot change this. There is no landscape/portrait choice area to select. I can print in portrait in Word.

I've been using Firefox for a number of years & it wasn't until yesterday (06 April 15) that I encountered an issue with printing... When trying to print my eBay invoices, everything loads fine but then when I go into Print Preview only the odd pages appear to have loaded completely, all of the even ones only have 1 or 2 lines of text on them.
I have restarted the browser, the pc, run all of the tests, tried other browsers (where everything loads), deleted the printer settings as per the help pages, etc but all to no avail.
Any helps would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
