Hi there,

About 4 days ago, hotmail suddenly stopped loading on Firefox (though I can still access it on Safari). I've tried clearing my cache and add-ons, etc. I've googled a ton and tried all the things I can find to try, but nothing is working. I am by no means a tech person and so I'm out of ideas and need some help. I know I can use Safari, but I really hate using it and prefer Firefox. Any ideas on what to do? I am using a MacBook Pro - Sonoma 14.4.1

I have the latest version of Firefox (124.0.1) that I'm using on macOS (14.4). The problem is that the whole top section of the browser (tab bar, location bar, and bookmarks bar) is dimmed out a lot of the time. Including when the browser has desktop focus. This, as you might imagine, is very annoying.

Don't know what's changed, I haven't done anything to Firefox that would make this happen. Wondering if this is a bug in the latest version that will be fixed, or if I need to pursue this. My plan would be to log out of my Mozilla account on the browser, reset all the settings, then log back into my Mozilla account in the hopes that this is something that won't survive that process; i.e. not saved in my saved settings.

I'm about at the point of stopping use of Firefox, which I really don't want to do, if I can't fix this due to eyestrain from squinting at dimmed tabs, etc. If this is a release-related problem, I can put up with it until it's fixed.

For about a week now YouTube doesn't display correctly. No content shows. I can open private browsing and works fine. Also works fine on other browsers just not Firefox.

I'm on an iMac running Firefox version 124.0.2 and I've tried disabling all add-ons but nothing has changed to the browser so shouldn't cause any issues.

Any help?

I'm unable to watch videos on Crunchyroll. When I try to watch a video, the video becomes a static image of one frame. When I switch tabs and come back to the video, or hit refresh, it changes to the latest frame of the video but freezes once again. I have the latest version of Firefox and am using a Macbook. Per suggestions I have found online, I have tried disabling all my extensions, deleting my cache, deleting the Firefox folder in my ~/Library, making sure DRM content is enabled, and uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox altogether. Nothing works. Was hoping to switch over to Firefox since Google Chrome has banned ublock origin, but I keep running into these obnoxious video problems. The same issue also happens on Amazon Prime Video, but only when I press full screen.

I am not now able to access the Macy's department store website. Here is the error message I receive when I try:

A white horizontal line in the top of the screen, whilst watching movies in tv5mondeplus.com. This issue happens when installed the recent update 129.0.

Tested in other browsers and doesn't appear the white horizontal line on top.

In the last few days, a transparent rectangular panel is showing up in the upper right hand corner when I open certain websites--Washington Post, The Nation, and Talking Points Memo, and this morning Kanopy and the Zojirushi website. It often covers functions like login and search. I can *see* the buttons, but I can't click them through the transparent panel.

I cannot open any Games on the NY TImes site with FIrefox for the past month; no problem with Chrome. Today, two article links opened but then the page went blank (repeatedly), while other links worked fine. Again, no problem with Chrome. My wife can't get into proxyvote.com with Firefox--again, a blank screen. Where is this weirdness coming from?

With Firefox a number of major sites, cnn.com in this case, only headlines appear in many articles and text is missing. This does not occur with any other browsers, including TOR, which looks a lot like Firefox.

I just updated Firefox & added recommended things. I went to "https://www.cranecu.org/" As soon as I hit the LogIn button I got an "Error 404" message. However, I called the office help & they suggested I try another browser. I switched to Safari the button works just fine. Any Suggestions? I am not the sharpest tack in the box when it comes to computers so please be simple. Thank You

I am using theme called WhiteSur to imitate Safari, as that is the browser layout I prefer. However, this doesn't change the position of the close tab button and leaves it on the right hand side. I found a way to change it, using the code .tabbrowser-tab .tab-close-button {

} Unfortunately, this doesn't change based on the size of the tab, so if I set it to a size that is good for only having 1 tab, it will look bad or be off the screen for the other amounts of tabs. Is there a way to detect the width of the tab or the amount of tabs open and dynamically set the margins based off of this? So I could set it as (width-of-tab)-x and that would always keep the close tab button in the same spot, regardless of tab size. Thanks!

Since yesterday, Firefox is crashing constantly. Any action taken on a page can cause it to crash. My cache and cookies have been cleared (every time I end a session), my computer has been restarted (now 20x). I have checked settings on MFF and all looks correct. I have used for years and never had this issue but have been using another browser since yesterday afternoon because this is disruptive to work. Anybody else having issues since the update 5/29/24?

I'm trying to access a site I need for school. It was working fine earlier today but for some reason in the last 5 hours I keep seeing this "An error occurred during a connection to learningtofilm.com. Restarting computer did nothing Force quitting and restarting Firefox did nothing Turning off HTTPS mode only did nothing Firefox customer service on X doesn't give a rat's ass about helping me

We have used Firefox for access to certain sites for years. Recently, we wanted access to particular sites, but the info boxes needed would now not allow entries. Then, we went to Chrome and there was no problem entering the info. Please provide a response to resolve these issues of Firefox not allowing data entry, but Chrome allowing data entry for the same sites.

Duplicate tab closer closed all tabs that weren't loaded into memory, so how may I restore tabs across all tab groups that were closed as now showing 0 ZERO tabs open in most tab groups!?

Last update disabled picture in picture mode -- on top of full scree applications.

Please advise how to correct / adjust. This feature is vital to my work.

I have always used facebook messenger to video chat with friends, however suddenly it says tis facility is not supported by this browser. Do I have to leave firefox to find a browser that works?

I see that other people have raised this point,but there does not seem to be a response from firefox.
