AOL on Firefox no longer allows me to type a double 'f'. On-and-Off becomes On-and O for example. The first 'f' appears. The second 'f' erases both! Even names in my Contacts such as Deardorff now appear as Deardor when typed into an email. This happens only on Firefox (not on Safari or AOL app). On any/all fonts. Help!

I recently got set up to use Firefox instead of Chrome. I use a computer at work and at home. I have sync settings set up the way I want but it doesn't seem to work. For instance, when I deleted an add-on at work, I would expect that add-on to be gone from my browser at home, but that isn't the case. I also have changed settings to allow a pop-up from my company's internal website. But at home that change in the settings isn't reflected. Basically I have two versions of Firefox, one at home and one at work. Anytime I want them to match up I have to do it manually. The only exception is bookmarks, they seem to sync properly.

Firefox has always maintained that current tabs will be restored after a reboot of the browser, and indeed that was the case for the first half-dozen years I've been a subscriber. That has not been the case for the past 4 - 6 months however. I have the correct Settings for this, so it is not on my end. Why do I always get a fresh Firefox browser whenever I update the version (which is quite regular lately . . . maybe a new version of Firefox every 3 weeks). Please help.

I encountered a Problem since the last update. When watching a Video on Youtube, the Playback is flashing, especially on green and red colors. I did see some People mention a similar issue years ago, so I followed the same troubleshooting by disabling Hardware acceleration and all extension. When clicking a web link from the "Finder" (and Firefox is inactive/closed) a blank google search page opens. If Firefox is already open the desired link will open

As described in the title, any form of video playback on any website will randomly dim almost like autobrightness for video playback. This has nothing to do with auto brightness etc because I have this turned off in my device settings as well as the only affected region of my screen being the part that is playing video. This does not happen on any other browser.

tldr when using firefox something keeps dimming my video and i don't know how to turn it off.

Firefox gives the following message on screens where news sites want to show for example a news clip "THEOplayer workers could not be loaded. Please check that the worker's version matches THEOplayer's version 5.1.0". Can this be solved? Or do I need to use Chrome instead?

Hey there, I was using one of my macs today and it suddenly started updating. It was taking ages and seemingly stalled, so I closed the app.

Now, all our bookmarks and history is gone. Also, the now updated version is not showing my new history etc.

Is there any way to retrieve our original bookmarks, history and passwords?

I have always had the default settings when it came to the color of unvisited links (blue) and visisted links (purple) but now every single link appears purple regardless of what color I change either of them to. I have cleared my history, turned off all extensions, and reinstalled firefox but I am still having the issue.

when updating to latest firefox browser, all my tabs are gone. "Restore tabs" is not appearing as an option.

1 - any troubleshooting tips? 2 - does this happen everytime when updating firefox?

I am trying to have a biometric authorization with touch ID on Mac, and it says on the website that the option should pop up when i go to the password settings, but it doesn't, and I don't know how to do it otherwise, or if I should use an extension for example. I hate twitter, yet all I have to do is touch the search bar and I see the fascist, vile 'X' suggested for me. I've tried everything and there's nothing that seems to get rid of it, like the vile roach that it is. It's like seeing a swastika every time I use the computer. Do I have to see it every day or can I get rid of it? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Not an 'X' fan, Tony

There appears to be an echo for recipient of calls when I use Google Voice through Firefox. When I call people, they hear an echo of their own voice. I hear them fine. This just recently happened which I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the last update installed. I tried a different browser and it works fine. Please help.

Hi, I have just returned from China. I use a Macbook Pro and am operating Firefox 118.0.2 (64-bit) I now find that when I use Firefox to access websites blocked in China (i.e google, the Guardian) I get a "Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue" message. I can access everything with a VPN active I also got this for Microsoft Edge but the problem resolved by clearing cookies (didn't work for firefox) How can I fix this

I downloaded a app on my Macos Big Sur workstation (https://kevin-de-koninck.github.io/Clean-Me/) and I ran it (I did not have the option "User Preferences" Selected) Somehow, after rebooting my computer shortly after, it had logged me out of my Firefox account. That shouldn't be a big deal right? Somehow at the same time my Lastpass password program does not have that account saved in it. I'm a web developer working on an app running in Docker on my MacBook. Chrome, Edge and Safari trust the self-signed certificate that has been imported into the Mac's root certificate store and have no security issues, but when I try and access the web app, I'm hit with "Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead" and the error code is MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_CA_CERT_USED_AS_END_ENTITY

I really miss Firefox, particularly the multi-account containers feature. What do I need to do so that Firefox will trust my certificate for my local web app?

When I enter a text in the address bar and press the 'return' key nothing happens given that all of these are true:

1. I'm connected to Mullvad VPN
2. I'm using Firefox
3. Address bar default search engine is set to 'Google'.

So to give some examples: 1. If I'm on chrome and everything else is the same as above, it works. 2. If I'm disconnected from the VPN, and on firefox, it works. 3. If I'm on VPN, and using firefox, but I set the default search engine to 'duck duck go' it works.

I tried all the steps in the troubleshooting guide here - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems and none of them worked for me. I'm quite confused about the issue here.

What could be wrong here?

I'm attaching a screenshot of what happens when I type text and press 'return'. Literally nothing happens, not even a 'webpage loading spinner'. Also attaching screenshots of network settings.
