Hello together. I'm experiencing a strange font problem and hopefully somewone can give me a hint. My system: macOS 10.15.7, Firefox 83 and FF Dev 84.0b2 Basically, on some websites fonts are not rendered. Please check the screenshots. This strange behaviour only occures with one user (the standard user), only with those browsers (safari and chrome work well), and the problem does not affect the firefox interface. I have re-installed the apps, i deleted the profiles, i cleared the font caches... nothing helped. Does anybody of you guys has an idea? Thank you in advance and best regards b.

Starting Tuesday, messages can only be sent to one addressee.Far worse is the problem that I am only given access to the "Important" folder. I can no longer reach "Messages sent to you", or other folders.Any solutions??

I am inquiring what can be done to overcome this freeze on functionality. If the only folder that still functions is "Important", sending and receiving messages becomes largely impossible, or means sending extra messages, phone calls, or whatever else can be invented. Is this a general problem, I wonder? Any proposed swolutions will be much appreciated.

I have a Ubuntu linux workstation running the latest version of FF 82.02 as of Nov-9-2020 and when I start the browser up it states that FF is not the default browser would you like to make FF the default. I have removed all browsers and this message continues to appear at start up. Can anyone explain why?

I have set Firefox Developer Edition as my default PDF reader. When I want to open a PDF file, it always pops up in a new window, even if another has already been there.

Is there a way to change this default behavior, so that PDF files are opened in an existing window?

I currently run: Firefox Developer Edition, Version 84.0b2

Amazon prime video will no longer play on Firefox. This started on 11/15/2020. Amazon Prime store and other features work fine, but when you select a video, the Amazon page and Firefox screen freezes in that the cursor travels over the screen and page but no matter where you click you get no response. You have to refresh the page and reload Amazon to get functionality back. I can stream video on Safari, but not on Firefox, and Firefox is my browser of choice as it is more content feature rich than Safari. I need to get my Amazon video streaming working again. Two additional issues, this is now happening with YouTube too. You can watch YouTube videos, but they take a great deal, sometimes over a minute or two, to load. Finally, I get a message on my Firefox page when I try to load Coinbase that I have to use Chrome, an idea that I detest, using any Google product. Please provide me with some answers and solutions. I have posed a number of questions regarding loss of use and features on the version of Firefox in the last week, and not one of them has been responded too, or answered, which really disappoints me as far as my opinion of the support you offer, volunteer or not. Not trying to bust your chops, but some support would be better than none. Thanks for your input. PLEASE give me a solution so I can continue to use Firefox. BTW when I clicked the " share data" button below, it erased over 30 minutes of work I did in this field and answer, and I had to start again from scratch, so I have over an hour invested in trying to contact you and get some support.

The Zoom Scheduler extension for Firefox used to work fine and was really helpful when I need to schedule Zoom meetings for work. Around Oct 8, it stopped working and gives the error "Schedule meeting failed. Please try again." when I use the "Make it a Zoom meeting" button in Google Calendar or "Schedule a Meeting" in the extension button.

I tried going through Zoom support and they eventually said they would escalate the case to their engineers, but other people have confirmed that the extension still works with Firefox and I'm starting to suspect it is something wrong with my installation or my computer or something.

Here are the things I've tried:

  • Uninstalled the extension and added it back
  • Made sure there is only 1 Google account added and that I'm logged in to it
  • Refreshed Firefox
  • Reinstalled Firefox
  • Removed FF profiles and reinstalling
  • Tested the Zoom extension in Chrome (yes, it works there)
  • Set popups to not be blocked
  • Cannot test in Safe Mode since the problem is with an extension, but at this point the Zoom extension is the only one installed
  • Looked at what happens in the console when I try to use the Zoom extension (unfortunately I don't understand what these lines mean): https://www.screencast.com/t/eg53k7KcRu
  • One more clue or possibly red herring: I also had problems recently using the LastPass extension where you are supposed to be able to export all your passwords, it is supposed to pop up a window but instead got stuck in a loop of requesting my master password

I had this problem yesterday when I started up this browser it said, "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem.". So I read through the article and it said to restart my mac, so I did just that and pow, my bookmarks and history returned! Little did I know that the next day, (today) I'd start up Firefox and the message was there again, but this time, it got even worse.

       First I tried to tackle the bookmark problem, "Quit Firefox" they said, "Restart your computer." they said, "Create a new database". None of those worked, so I scrambled the internet looking for answers, all of them resolved their problems, every one else was A-ok, excluding me, and just like that, my add-ons weren't working anymore! Ad-block Plus, Dark Reader, Privacy Badger, nothing. I tried to delete Adblock first and reinstall it, because that's what their page told me to do, and I keep getting this message trying to reinstall it saying, "Installation aborted because the add-on appears to be corrupt." 
       And little did I know that every other extension said the exact same thing. So i knew something was going on that was out of my control. And then finally, the "pièce de résistance" to my pain and suffering through out this whole hour or so, pages won't even load even though I'm connected to the internet, how perfect... Even trying to update the browser won't work, downloading a new one also goes through the same "pages not loading problem. 
        So in conclusion, hopefully, just hopefully, you guys can help me out. I'll probably have to resort to my old laptop, (which is slow and almost unusable with how buggy that thing is.) seeing how my mac has also been running into problems these last few days as well before this conundrum.

Problem One: 1Password extension not working for me. I installed Firefox and made it my primary browser. Extensions have been a disaster for me. First I tried adding the 1 Password extension. I did this because when I tried opening a page from 1 Password uninstalled on the browser, it didn't l as it should (has always done so with Safari). I had to open 1Password separately, and copy the information, which is tedious.

So I installed the 1Password Extension on Firefox. It didn't work unless I'd opened the desktop version of 1Password, it still didn't open and fill.

So I removed the extension. I then decided to give it another try. The extension shows up on Firefox. But now it has a little lock on the icon. The problem is that clicking on the icon doesn't open anything! I've rebooted the computer, and only reinstalled the 1Password extension. The same problem occurs, then, without clicking on the problematic icon, I reboot the computer again. It hasn't helped.

PROBLEM TWO: I'm having an additional problem with extensions. When I click on the extension for Pocket (for instance), the program opens, but fails to recognize that I have a paid subscription, asking me to upgrade. This is true for other sites I have subscriptions to, limiting me using the "free" version, which limits what I can open as well as what I can save.

It sounds unbelievable, but that's what's happened to me. I'm using enhanced tracking protection for all sites. Macbook Pro ; Catalina OS 10.15.7 (19H15) - most recent version Max OS

I appreciate any help you can give me. This is way over my head! I've tried everything I can think of, except for uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox.
