I'm trying to run Firefox on headless mode through Selenium in AWS Lambda. Since Lambda marks the root file system as read-only except /tmp/. I pointed the geckodriver to write the logs to /tmp but still Firefox is not starting up and it's failing with the following error.

Any guidance on how to get it working?

So I've disabled Firefox updates because of the personal preferences. It keeps nagging me every day with the modal to update. How do I disable this annoying useless feature?

Firefox 85.0 on mac os.

I've tried searching "about:config" for all preferences that contain "update" and look like timers and changed the timestamps to something in the far future. Still no dice, the update dialog keeps appearing every day like clockwork.

https://www.nectar.com/ has changed. The log in page is now:- https://www.nectar.com/id/start/enter-card-number The saved password for https://www.nectar.com doesn't appear or work on this page. The automatic 'Saving 'new' password' doesn't appear or work. Deleting and saving the new address https://www.nectar.com/id/start/enter-card-number doesn't work either because Firefox Logins and passwords deletes everything after .com?

Round and round and round we go.

Why is there no way to contact Firefox? Nobody on/in the Community can make the required technical changes?

So this is all just frustration and time wasting?

Shouldn't Firefox have recognised this themselves and made the necessary changes?

When I record screencasts, I don't want people to see what extensions I'm using. For one, it's distracting, for second, it's a privacy issue.

In chrome (iron, opera...) I can quickly drag and resize the extensions area so nothing is seen. Fast an easy.

Is there a way to do this in Firefox. I am open to extensions or keyboard shortcuts as well!

(Pinning to overflow menu is not a solution. It takes many clicks and a long time.)

Steps to reproduce: 1.Opening bookmark by command-shift-o 2.Dragging boundary line of bookmark column (name, url, added date...) to resize the width

Expected results: The width of column is changed

Actual results: The width doesn't changed properly. The column next to dragged one is changed or completely ignores change at all.

So I was having some trouble a few days ago with a website that automatically re-directed as soon as I landed on it to another page. So I happily went off in the settings and disable the automatic redirect. Now a week or two later I'm sitting here going I can't find the setting anymore? I can't even search for it and have absolutely no results you would think searching for "redirect" in the settings pain would bring it up. it's probably something that got buried in developer tools that I would never be able to turn off/toggle again unless I get lucky with the right extremely memorable and easily accessible incantation in the about : config because that's just all so well documented. Is it a "1" is it a "0" is it a "5" which one disabled / enabled what is the other options do?

My Firefox version is 86.0 on Mac. OS Version is 11.2.2 Big Sur.

I found that basically all color rendered in Firefox is more vibrant than Safari and Chrome, maybe Firefox doesn't handles color management right and renders sRGB in full P3 color space, lead to a over saturate color for almost every element on webpage.

Hopes firefox can fix this soon, I love the efficiency and privacy features on Firefox, This is the only bit I found a little uncomfortable.

Hello, is there a way to turn off the new print function. I want my print program to open and not a complicated print program that cannot be used by us. Since this new setting, we can no longer print properly and have to do all print jobs with a screen print.

I'm using Firefox 86.0 on an Apple Silicon Mac mini (16 GB/2TB) with macOS 11.2. Several times a day when I return to the browser, it will have become completely unresponsive to clicks and or typing. In this state, I can't click on web pages, or controls in the tab bar. However, the app is not beach-balling. I can quit by right clicking on the dock icon and choosing quit from the menu (I don't have to force quit). Relaunching fixes things. Also, if I have, for example, clicked on the "new tab" button in the tab bar, once I've quit and launched again, the new tab will be in the window, indicating that the command was processed, but the result was not visible. Sometimes, but not always, when in this state the page display looks like it has been scaled to about 50%. (As if I'd hit "Zoom out" five times). One clue that may relate to this is, I'm running in scaled mode on the monitor (The monitor is capable of 3840x2160, but I'm scaling things in the Display control panel to 2560x1440.) Apps are running in Retina mode. I have tried running Firefox in Safe mode, but that didn't help. I have a lot of tabs that I don't want to lose, so running in a fresh user profile is kind of difficult, unless there's a simple way to transfer open tabs between profiles.

I need to disable Command+D that's currently used to "Bookmark This Page".

I need Command+D for another use.

I've searched about:config for "bookmark" and get a lot of hits, but I can't tell which one controls the setting for Command+D.

Or . . . am I barking up the wrong tree?

I want to disable Command+D.

Leaving the ability to mouse up and click Bookmarks > "Bookmark This Page" is ok.

I just need to disable the keyboard shortcut Command+D for "Bookmark This Page".

Anyone got a "howto" for this?

Hi a lot of websites I visit are not displaying the font correctly when using firefox. I have set "Allow Web Sites To Choose Their Own" already in the preferences. See image below for example. It's happening a lot at the moment . I have updated to latest Firefox and Mac OS is latest. Pages are fine when viewed in Chrome. Help please! Cheers- Vince

Hello everyone, I recently just restarted and re-downloaded the new Firefox update but for some reason none of my bookmarks, passwords, tabs, history, or anything was saved. Hi! Even if i'm an old user of Firefox, i'm new to this support/forum thing, so I apologise if i'm in the wrong place. Today, after watching some videos on a specific youtube channel, i noticed that the channel appeard on the "highlights" section in the home page of Firefox. Nothing strange in that, but i noticed that the thumbnail of the user of that youtube channel was in high definition in the "highlights", even if when I viewed the page information of YouTube, on the media tab, I wasn't able to find an image with such an hight resolution. I would be clear: I'm not talking about the YouTube red logo, but on the user's channel image (rounded, near the name). The "moz-page-thumb://thumbnails/?url........" have a resolution of 448px x 448px. The image on youtube have the maximum resolution of 176px x 176px. So... Where have Firefox finded that image?? Is there involved some kind of upscaling?? I really appreciate the hard work of Mozilla, and I hope that will go on on this way.

I use a Logitech MX Master 3 mouse, without any custom Logitech or other mouse software. When I press the mouse's back/forward buttons, instead of navigating back/forward, Firefox enter Scroll Mode (more info here). This is the same behaviour as when pressing the middle mouse button. However, I already have the middle mouse button for that! I want the back/forward buttons on the mouse to navigate back/forward. See the attached image for the back and forward buttons I'm referring to: they're directly under the horizontal scroll wheel.

Is there a way for Firefox to register the back/forward button presses as back/forward navigation commands?

Hi! I've been using Firefox the last 8 years, and so far I have not had any problems. I have latest version of Mac OS. I used to play Friv flash games at https://www.friv.com/, but it has not been updated for a long time, so I started playing at https://www.friv5online.com/, https://www.desura.com/ and https://www.y8games.center/. Version 85.0.2 (64-bit) Upon every startup, FF asks for my system login permissions to install a helper tool, to which I have reluctantly done but it seems to not install anything different yet continues each time to prompt the Helper Tool install. What is the Helper Tool? I can't find any info about it. How do I turn off the prompt?

I think I broke the ALT keyup events in some way, probably with my configuration but not sure how.

If I put this code in the console : `document.addEventListener("keyup", e=>console.log('alt: '+e.altKey+' | '+String.fromCharCode(e.which).toLowerCase()));` and the press the keys, I have the following results:

- pressing "I", I get the expected "alt: false | i" - pressing "ALT+I", I get "alt: true | �"

I do not have the problem with other modifier keys like CTRL

Firefox update (about 4 weeks ago?) resulted in losing access to various accounts eg: bank, health care provider. Forced to use Chrome (blech!) Websites now state that I'm using an "unsupported browser". Have contacted host sites and they are unresponsive and/or unable to provide solution. Can still access bank etc from Android phone but forced to use other browsers from MacBook Pro.

While I appreciate the recent improvements to the Firefox Print interface and features, there are still lingering formatting issues that have existed for a very long time. The most common issue is that portions of content get cut off between pages. Here is one example:

https://www.nolas.com/home/#menus - click FOOD category near top - open Print (does not matter if "Save to PDF" or printer is selected) - default print settings

In the print preview (left side), printed page or saved PDF there are missing parts of text: - beginning of page 4 cuts off from "SHARE PLATES" to half-way through the first item's description. - top of page 8 (under "NOLA CLASSICS") one of the 6 items is missing entirely.

This issue remains even when using different scale factors.

Tested on current software: - Firefox 86.0.1 (new profile) - macOS 10.12 -through- 10.15

Firefox alias icon keeps replicating itself in the toolbar at the bottom of screen where all of the alias icons are located. Had a session with an Apple rep which did not work. Used a virus protection app that did not remove the aliases. Any ideas?
