I have no idea what passwords from . csv.files are or where to find them on my Asus LinuxMint laptop?

The only password and username that i entered into my LinuxLaptop are the only usernames and passwords

that I've entered into my new computer. I've also entered my google Chrome username and password to set up my Thunderbird email service. I never wanted to sync all my usernames and passwords in my Acer laptop computer because I felt that that made it too simple for a hacker to access all of my personal Information and access to accounts. Mozilla Firefox wants a password for csv files or tsv files or HTML files ? I don' know what any of these files are or where to go to to find them or the passwords for these files. I just want to successfully transfer all of my Favorates folders and files then all my Documents and picture files to my new computer. I'm a Photography artist, Graphic Designer, abstract painter, and creative writer. I can't move forward in my creative pursuits without completing these tasks. Thanks very much for your help and information. I'm soon to be 80 years old and not a very good keypuncher on a computer. I'm happy to leave Microsoft Windows and Google behind but Linux Mint is all new to me.

I want to migrate everything from windows to linux, i've already synchronised browsers on both systems, but settings on linux didn't get overrided.

How can i make browser on linux exactly the same as on windows (including settingd)?

I just downloaded Firefox and came to the page for importing data to Firefox, where it says " Import browser data" followed by a box containing "Microsoft Edge" in the next line, then

Select the data you’d like to import. Favorites Saved passwords Browsing history Form autofill data

then the prompt to Import

Is this a trick for Edge to import the data rather than Firefox or as it should be for Firefox to Import the data including that in Edge? As you might have guessed - I don't trust Edge or Microsoft one little bit.

Hello, I just used the Firefox 141.0 (aarch64) wizard for Raspberry Pi OS 1.0, to import bookmarks from Brave, however the wizard said 0 bookmarks imported.

I also manually exported and imported the bookmarks.html file and the latest bookmarks aren't appearing at the top. It seems the bookmarks are nested in some bookmarks directory by default. I'm confused?

Also I tried a manual import several months ago but same issue about some strange nesting structure rather than simply appearing at the top. Now I'm really confused and worried I'll lose my bookmarks as there's about 3 version in various nested structures. Please help just make an easy move to Firefox.

Hello. I wanted to know whether it was possible to connect another browser data, as I usually use two browsers: Safari and Google Chrome. I added my data on safari when setting up Firefox, but I would like to add the data on chrome as well. Is there any way to do so?

Switch computers from windows 10 to windows 11. I downloaded bookmarks history from windows 10 on an external drive in html.

On new windows 11 computer, I'm trying to configure book marks. Turned off chatbot. Firefox or windows 11 is populating my sidebar with internet history I no longer use? How do I stop this and how do I import my bookmarks? i tried the import , similar to export, but it is not showing up?

Appreciate any help. Brian

My bookmarks in Chrome do not import into Firefox. I've Tried importing right from the Chrome browser and importing with an HTML file. No success with my bookmarks. I was able to import an extension, but I deleted it as that isn't my focus. I've checked the HTML file and it does have content (viewed in NotePad). I've looked in all the Bookmark options, but nothing imported there. I paused my NordVPN, no change. I've rebooted my desktop nothing changed. I'm running the latest updated version of Win 11.

Please advise.

I imported my browser data,Import browser data - bookmarks, passwords, history, extensions, and auto fill data from another browser - mistakenly. Can this action be undone?

Thank you

this is supposed to have a QR code, but it does not load. I have attached a still screenshot below.

I also cannot upload images using Firefox to Messenger. The large purple image is a result of an upload, but it should be a picture of a woman saved from Krita.

I tried a setting called "Refresh Firefox" and that fixed it but only for less than a day. whats going on?

I followed these directions - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-firefox-bookmarks-to-backup-or-transfer but Firebox only exports this data in the bookmarks.html file and attached image! Bookmarks Menu

How can export all of my bookmarks in Firefox?

I have tried all the ways you suggest to import my bookmarks over from Chrome to Firefox and can't find them anywhere. They are not in the library. I wish to have my bookmarks in a Bookmarks Bar as I did with Chrome.
