for the last several months I have been unable to access 90% of the sites I have bookmarked due to "secure connection failed" I am REAL close to starting use of a different browser

Do I need to "undo" the update so I can log onto my established websites? I am using Blur to help fill in the requested login values. But most of the time, I get circular fixes by the website, that after doing the reset of passwords, etc., still won't work. This is causing much frustration. Please respond asap.

Why is this so temperamental: when opening fresh Firefox, it opens with a different page EVERY TIME???

Sometimes it opens with my Homepage, which I have set up deliberately and purposefully to open with my Homepage, which is DuckDuckGo. That’s why I set it up: to open with it every time I open Firefox. To have this certainty. I want it to open with my home page EVERY TIME, not just randomly.

Sometimes it opens with my Homepage, most of the time it does not.

Sometimes it opens with this annoying message how it cannot open previous sessions – I never asked it to open previous sessions!

Sometimes it indeed opens with a page from my last session – I don’t want it to open my previous session!

Sometimes it opens with just a standard “new tab” page – I never told it that either.

What is the problem with opening the Homepage EVERY TIME I start Firefox?

Does Firefox have any concept of how extremely annoying this is?

I keep getting a message about an update to firefox and select download which fails time after time. I have ver 96.0.2 and 97 download keeps failing. Is there some problem with firefox that is preventing an update download? If it is not going to download, how do I get rid of the update available notice that keeps popping up and never downloads?

Hello. I know that simplified printing is not always available but I don't understand why it wouldn't be consistently available or unavailable when the pages of a site are ostensibly the same? e.g., my Data Science prof has a site she created with "chapters" and quizzes/exercises. I sometimes can print the quiz that I took and sometimes I cannot (in simplified view). They seem to be the same format. I've had this occur with other sites too, e.g., a site that offers recipes. The recipes seem to be presented the same way and show up the same when you go to print them.

What might be different among these pages that would prevent simplified printing from consistently being presented as an option? It becomes super frustrating to find a workaround to print something I need without it being 18 pages long--when in simplified view, it's only 2!

Ever since I was forced to change to Windows 10 and the new update Firefox browser version the darn pages in history keep expiring after only a day or days so I can't view/load them when offline (except any open page left unclosed). They used to stay in cache for longer than that. I am sick of always having to come back online to re-load pages Firefox has expired after only a day or days or even only hours. (I don't mean the addresses/links in history list but the cached pages.) There don't seem to be any settings in options for this.

(Sorry I don't have time to search archives. Have too many troubles with WIndows 10 and related things like new browser version to keep looking them all up.)

Several sites I use (Yahoo, American Thinker) and occasionally other random sites won't load when I use your Add-Ons Privacy Badger, and Ublock. I get server can't be reached errors. I use ESET as my security app. Suggestions?

I am running Opensuse Tumbleweed and just had to install due to major hardware changes. Usually i just back up my .mozilla folder containing lots of settings off of my backup drive. But Firefox seems to ignore it this time. How do i make firefox read this folder?

with firefox, some pages on ebay & amazon do not display properly. While viewing paragraphs used for item descriptions, they are thrown to the left side of page in a 2 inch wide vertical column.

For the last several months pages on my websites don't always show correctly after i've updated them. I then need to go into the settings/privacy and delete all data to see the correct changes.

I live in the UK. Whenever I search in the browser, the main results are all related to the USA. e.g. I search for "latest news" and all the results are US news feeds not UK. Is it possible to change this?

Hi all, I have problems playing certain videos with FF 96.0.3 on 2 different Win 10 computers. Youtube videos, for example, play just fine. However, videos where I just get "Please wait while the media loads" include numerous training videos at support.microsoft.com. (I think I have trouble at other sites as well.) These videos play without any problems on Chrome and Edge. The problem just occurs with FF. I have found a work around, but it's a real pain. It may give someone a good clue as to what the problem is though. If I clear cached web content and cookies EACH time before playing a video and then reload the page, it works. Sometimes just clearing the cache will do the trick. Again, this must be done before each video. Things I have tried include (but are not limited to: reboot pc(s), refresh FF, turned auto play on & off, mute & unmute FF & plug-ins, allowed cookies and pop-ups, disabled ad blocker and other extensions, loaded a Flash Emulator plug-in, confirmed audio is working fine, turned off and on hardware acceleration. I love FF, but this is driving me nuts. I do not consider myself to be terribly tech savvy, but I'm willing to keep trying for a while longer. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, John

All the many links online to info on how to fix it is the same and none of it works. So it must all be part of the scam. Fucking horseshit. Can I say that?

Can someone tell me how to get rid of it in an actual human non fake way?
