Hello,

Both in Preferences and Right-hand Corner of Menu Bar ... Three Horizontal Bars Options - Restore Previous Session is 'greyed out' so I can't check it!.

Any ideas? Help appreciated.

There is one menu short in a screen, when I use Firefox to my bank. The file "2021-02-14.png" is missing a menu with "Forbrugsoverblik Forbrugsagenter Etiketter" on black background. The file "2021-02-14(1).png" is the same <prt sc> but in Edge browser. The file "2021-02-14(2).png" is the same but in Crome.

The two last are correct with all menu'es. How do I get the same i Firefox? I have cleared cookies and cache without any result.

I would like to save my bookmarks to a folder and transfer it to a flash drive so that when my computer crashes {which it eventually will because all I could afford was a cheap piece of crap and I had to reset the thing once already}, I can just retrieve the folder from the flash drive and put them in Firefox when I download a new copy on the computer after reset.

Seems like this issue recurs every now and again. Right Click on a link and try to "Save Link As..." and Firefox hangs. All of my browsers started doing it in the last few weeks. Suspected PC Matic, as I had installed it recently, but disabling it did not help. Clear Cache and Default Settings seemed to once or twice but then problem persisted.

Looks like it's a bug in the pop-up blocker. Disabled it and "Save Link As..." again works perfectly. Same for all other browsers. Looks like pop-up block does not recognize "Save Link As..." as a permitted pop-up and the system call to File Explorer (Windows 8.1) has nowhere to go. Task freezes solid and can only be killed by Task Manager.

I just signed up for the NORD VPN and the connection fails every time I try to log in. I am using windows 8 no windows 10 available for this computer. How do I do this?

Hello when I try to connect to my Google account with Firefox, I get the following message: " Can not log in. This browser or application may not be secure. Learn more. Try to use another browser. If you are already using a compatible browser. you can refresh the screen and try to connect again. " I did that but it was useless. I also cleaned up cookies and data, and restarted Firefox. I have the latest version of Firefox. I am on Windows 10 20H2 version 19042.2020.0. Thank you for your answers.

This is on fIrefox version 85 in Linux.

Last week I was discouraged to find out that my cache was taking up 2 GB of space, some YEARS old. So I decided to purge it and then keep it clean.

The cache gets stored in two places: the linux home .cache folder AND the firefox profile's cache2 folder.

To keep things REALLY clean I checked the "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" checkbox, then manually enter the exceptions for web sites I do not want to block. Then I specifically added sites I really despise (google, for example) to the block list.

The data still gets cached, even after closing and reopening the browser the cache is still there (verified both via about:cache and by just looking in the folders).

Even when I purge the cache completely, verify nothing is there (about:cache) after deleting the cache folders from the hard drive, it keeps coming back, like a bad computer virus.

My interim solution is a crontab that runs every hour to clear old cache, but that seems silly. Do these security settings actually do anything? What am I doing wrong?

Hello, I only figured it out today as I don't visit Facebook often. I don't have Facebook APP in my cell phone, as I don't want to. I only visit it when using notebook which has WIndows 10 and Firefox. It seems that the autoplay blocking configuration of Firefox is not working on Facebook Messenger web version. Videos keep autoplaying in a conversation, even though we don't want it and have it configured both in Firefox and even Facebook to be blocked. So, resuming, autoplay blocking doesn't work even though is selected in Firefox and Facebook. It happens the same in Edge. They might be using a different way to avoid the blocking definitions, both from Facebook and Firefox In Messenger Lite in Android and Messenger for Win10, autoplay blocking works fine. I reported to Facebook but I don't expect any answer from them as usual. If you could help it would be great. Thanks in advance.

I have Bitdefender total security and several times per minute for hours per day I get messages that firefox is trying to connect to an untrusted source and I'm wondering if you can help me get it to stop. It seems to happen primarily when I am using NordVPN with a United States IP address.

This is the message I continue to get from Bitdefender:

firefox.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an untrusted certificate to trends.newsmaxwidget.com. We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since untrusted certificates are issued by unrecognized Certificate Authorities.

I don't know what this trends.newsmaxwidget.com certificate is or where to find it to delete it. Can it be deleted? Is this a problem with my VPN?

I've come across a problem with using Textexpander in Google Sheets in Firefox.

Say I have a snippet that expands to =INDEX(B2:B,MATCH("green",A2:A,0),1)

Now if I expand that by just typing the abbreviation shortcut, i.e. gs.index, it gets expanded, but has a line break before it within the cell so it doesn't get recognised as a formula. I have to manually delete the line break out.

However, if I use the global keyboard shortcut to search for the snippet and select it from the list, when entered, it goes into the cell without a preceding line break and gets registered as a formula.

Is there anyway to overcome this issue that you know of? I'm using Firefox 85.0.2, mainly because I'm on High Sierra and Safari cannot be updated beyond 13.1.2. Incidentally, I don't get this problem when using Safari.

I've raised this with the guys at Smile Software too, but asking here as it does seem to be a Firefox-specific issue.

Hello, ever since updating Firefox to v85, it's been LOCKING UP every day, sometimes twice a day. Have not been able to figure what site of function is causing the problem.

Have bee watching memory usage in Win Task Manager, Resource Monitor and can see ONE thread of Ffx ramped up to 3 MB.

Firefox updates no longer trusted, will need to do a RESTORE POINT from now on.

Please comment, and where did my first support question go?

Starting today, when i try to login to xfinity e-mail the advertisement offer by xfinity covers/blocks the sign in button. I have been able to access my xfinity e-mail by use microsoft edge. I appears the problem is with firefox??

Hello everyone,

Is there a way to find in which folder a specific bookmark is contained ? I can do a search on the "Show all Bookmarks" library but it only shows the URL without the folder. In Chrome there is a useful feature which let you easily highlight the location. It's very strange that isn't possible in Firefox.

There is an archived post here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1161879 but the tricky workaround is not acceptable for me. Any ideas ? Thanks in advance Stefano
