when I search with Firefox 5, the results come from Yahoo. I have run fully updated Malwarebytes and Avira antivirus programs, did not resolve. Deleted all files on the C: drive related to Yahoo. Uninstalled Firefox, then reinstalled, did not fix !!! HELP ! I hate Yahoo !

With Firefox 4 everything worked fine. Also in IE everything works fine too. Systems runs Windows 7 x64 Ultimate. At any other site videos are showing fine, only at Youtube i have the problem.

I've a macbook pro, OS X 10.6.5, Firefox 5.0.1. Each time I try to load a web page, also a simple Google search or a Facebook post, Firefox hang on "connecting" for many seconds, with nearly no network I/O activity at all. Then, after 30/40 seconds, the page magically loads quickly. The problem doesn't happen with Safari or Google Chrome.

Since I updated to version 5.0 of firefox, 95% of pictures do not display in the body of emails using my yahoo account. If I go to forward the email however I can find them displayed in the forwarding window. I do have all pictures set to display in the ff settings, and have not made any setting changes before or after the update. At first I thought it was the "New" yahoo mail, which I switched to from the "classic", but I cannot switch back. I finally opened my yahoo mail in IE, and the pictures show right up.

in outlook I click to open a new e-mail. FF opens and a tab appears with a string to a folder: file:///C:/Users/tymn/AppData/Local/Temp/%7B3586F5EB-854A-4DA8-B2F7-8C764B716CEA%7D.html

it appears to be trying to save a copy of the outlook e-mail to a drive. I do not need this, it is annoying. even when i click the box to not show it , it still does it...

When I enter the name of a website in my FireFox browser, it links me to a completely different website... On other occasions it even presents me with (I guess) randomized error messages...

When I try to access any Menu feature in Yahoo Messenger, the following crash notice appears: Warning: WARN addons.xpi: Ignoring missing add-on in C:\Program Files\AVG\AVG8\Firefox Source File: resource://gre/modules/XPIProvider.jsm Line: 7266

I can't get rid of somoto as default homepage. Somoto doesnt appear in the list of searching and also not as installed software in my computer or as addons of firefox

i installed a re-startless add-on recommended by lifehacker. it does not show up in extensions, plug-ins, appearance, or anywhere. i dislike it intensely, & want 2 get rid of it, but can't. help anyone, please? thanx very

CLARIFICATION: This appears to be a Mac only issue.

In Firefox 4, closing a firefox window (perhaps only the last firefox window - I only ever use one window) would ask you if you wanted to save your tabs as long as you edited your about:config so that browser.showQuitWarning was set to true, but after upgrading to Firefox 5, this no longer works.

I've managed to set up Firefox 5 so that if i quit the application my tabs are saved without asking and they are restored upon re-launching the Application, but at least in OSX Snow Leopard, closing the only open window while leaving the Application running causes Firefox to forget your tabs and I've been unable to find a way to restore or proactively save these tabs.

I've started to change my workflow to always quit Firefox 5, but every now and then I forget and close the window instead, and *poof*, there go my tabs.

Is there any workaround to this problem?

While visiting web site, sognoromance.com/ladyinred.htm, pages do not play sound in ASF format or WMA. They do with IE. I have installed plug in, tested and desabled them all to no avail.

Is there a way to be able to hear sound?

On the symbol that is supposed to take me back to home, it takes me instead to http://searchqu.com/414. I always have my home page a "blank". I changed it back to blank several times and it just changed back to the search/qu thing.

I have tried two ways to mark my Homepage: General Tab "use current" at selected Page - then OK. Then I tried the suggested moving that page's icon to the "home" icon and confirming that I want THAT page as my Home Page.

When I open a new window, I only get the 3 pages I got when I upgraded to new version of Firefox - these methods do not hold my desired page as a "Homepage"

Lately whenever I go to download a file from the Internet it gives me a message I've never seen before. It says a file name (which doesn't exist on my pc) then tells me that I need to either change the properties of the file or try downloading to another file. But the download box never pops up anymore and it says this for everything I try to download. What's going on?

I try to visit this sinhala language web site using Firefox 5 latest version. Then that site not properly display (Fonts are not work). Then i again downloaded that web site fonts and install them. But again that web site not properly display. If i visit that web site using "Google Chrome" or "IE" i can view that web site properly. This problem only happen for Firefox 5.
