So every time I try to download a file and choose "open with" (instead of "save file"), the file opens and then Firefox crashes. It does this on any website, any file type. If I choose "Save File" instead, it downloads the file and there are no problems (it just adds the extra step of navigating to the folder where the file was downloaded to open it). I have completely uninstalled Firefox, deleted every trace of it from my PC (appdata, Program Files, registry, etc), and reinstalled. No change, still crashes every time I choose "Open with". This has been going on for at least a few months I think.

I've already changed my password, but knowing that emails come with some delay and all you need is just a few seconds to sync all your passwords id say its a pretty bad thing..

3. ran memtest86+ on the RAM and found lots of errors. Replaced RAM and that seemed to do the trick for about a week. Crashes began again today. I ran memtest86+ again and found no errors (the same as after I replaced all RAM).
4. ran a couple of virus/malware checkers and found nothing
5. I am running fully updated windows XP pro

In Dutch those words should be spelled without space: "tekstcontrole" is correct, "tekst controle" isn't. The Firefox spell check is only recognizing the separate words (tekst and controle) and is underlining the contraction (tekstcontrole) as incorrect when in fact only the latter is correct. This is not an exception, in fact most sentences have such words, so using the Firefox spelling check in Dutch always results in lots of red lines.

Tried fresh reinstall but firefox crashed .right after starting it Not even able to start in Safe mode as crash appears before that. Tried also deleting profile folders in Application Support/Firefox but to no effect.

I can make it continue playing by either clicking slightly forward, or by changing the resolution. Otherwise, the video stops forever.

Issue: When using a FLASH uploader button on a website, Firefox always opens the 'Program Files\Mozilla Firefox' folder and forces me to navigate manually to the location I want every time. A serious issue when I'm using this method a 100+ times per day. If I use a non-flash upload button (aka every other website on Earth) it's fine and remembers the last-used folder/location.
I've tried:
- Clearing all caches - Safe mode - All add-ons disabled - Updating to newest Firefox - Reinstalling Flash
Is there a way to FORCE Firefox's default location to a different folder as a last resort? I could live with that solution if possible. Maybe in the prefs.js file or something like that?

I just now installed latest Firefox updated, disabled all extension. In Safe mode I got black rectangular with message "your browser does not currently recognize any of the video formats available".

Our web site, writen in ASP.Net, uses various pop up windows to prompt the user for specific actions. These work FINE in all browsers for all customers across the world, except this new Firefox 47 upgrade.
Customers starting calling today because they can't use our application with Firefox. We tested with Firefox 43 and 44 and both versions worked fine, but once we updated to Firefox 47, the application no longer functioned.
I will post a note to our customer users telling them to avoid using Firefox 47 until this is resolved.

Using vrealize automation 6.2.1, when trying to connect to a remote console firefox errors out with the following: Cannot establish a remote console connection. Verify that the machine is powered on. If the server has a self-signed certificate, you might need to accept the certificate, then close and retry the connection.
When trying to permanently add an exception, the windows will not allow me to continue to the page unless i de-select the permanent option (making it only a temporary bypass). Its odd that I even get an error on this page since Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge display the page as trusted AND connect to the remote console just fine. Any thoughts on this?

Hello! I gladly use Firefox sync on my primary PC with e-mail willyfox569803(anti_bot)@gmail.com; But today I was had to re-install Windows on my parent's PC. To save and restore all their bookmarks, passwords etc I had created a new account with E-mail g2552206(anti_bot)@mvrht.com. I used "Temporary e-mail service", created a FF sync account, signed in, confirmed a "temporary" account and re-installed an OS. Now, when I'm done with re-installing, I had entered sync login g2552206@mvrht.com with its password, but FF asked me to open the sent e-mail to confirm signing in. But now I dont have access to temporary g2552206(anti_bot)@mvrht.com - it was wiped and deleted by temporary email service. Can I now somehow restore my parent's passwords, bookmarks and other things? D: Please, help! I thought there's nothing bad to use a temporary e-mail to save my parent's browser data.

Hey all, The Developer version of Opera now includes a free and unlimited built-in VPN. I have clung to Firefox for years because of its features and open-source nature but Opera is now making a very good case to switch as a VPN seems a very important addition to a browser. Are there any knows plans for Firefox to develop a similar feature in the coming releases? So far, no add-on has really convinced me of its reliability in this matter. Best, Lou
