Running Windows XP pro, all software is up to date, running latest versions of firefox.----these buttons do work when using any other browser. In firefox, the buttons are visible but they wont change the pointer arrow to the finger when you mouse over them. This seems to have been doing this since the new version of hotmail has been out. The forums on hotmail have asked this same question but the customers are always directed to go back to the web browser developers.

I'm trying to use Firefox to work in Constant Contact. When I try to create or edit an e-mail in Constant Contact using Firefox as my browser, I get an error message that says I'm using an older version of Firefox and need to update to 3.5 or higher. I've re-installed (uninstalled Firefox and then re-installed) the latest version of Firefox (3.6) and I still get this error message. When I go to this website (www.thismachine.info), it tells me that I'm using Firefox 3.0.13. Why the discrepancy?

All of a sudden about a week ago, everytime I open Mozilla, 10 toolbars open up. I've used 4 of them and it used to open with just the 4. Now I have to delete 6 of them every time I open. How to delete just those? Checked Help and only got questions, no answers. Being not too computer lit, I'd need step by step instructions. Please help! Driving me nuts!!

Also, Mozilla asks to "Remember log in" and even though I check to remember, it doesn't and continues to ask for every site I've already said to remember. Another irritating process.

When I download .avi files and the like, Firefox assumes I want to "open" them, forcing me to click the "Save as" button every time.

The "Do this automatically from now on..." box I want to use, is greyed out; in other words, I can't change the default setting.

I tried to alter the setting in the tools -> application to "Save file", but it didn't help me.

I got the message that it was time to download the newest version of Firefox. I clicked, and followed the steps. It showed to be downloading, and it checked for viruses, etc. But the message is still showing that it is "urgent" that I download the newest version or I won't be protected. When I click the "Help" and "check for newest versions" it shows me there is nothing available. What should I do next??

I want to upgrade to Firefox 4.0, but I don't want to lose the passwords that my current version (3.0.13) has saved. Will this be a problem if I do upgrade, or will 4.0 retain my previously saved passwords?

I downloaded Firefox 4. it worked fine, I went away for the weekend and when I came back I opened it up and it tells me its at Yahoo but it is showing some page allegedly from MIT. I tell it to go to another site and back to the bogus MIT page.

i have tried numerous times and ways to get firefox 4 to work with google, bing etc, but every time it just freezes up, either just going into limbo state or imediately flagging up that firefox is not responding. trying to close it can prove difficult when in this state too, as it can take upto 4 attempts to close untill it finally draws down the screen to close. I read the support section earlier for suggestions an downloaded another virus/ malware program... i shut my bullguard down and ran this, hoping to get results, restarted the comp as prompted and .......... still no joy with search engines, msn, ebay, face book etc all work fine, just no search engines,.... the best way to describe what happens is.... first the loading icons are green.... they just stop spinning.... then the cursor will either stay as a pointer or look like a capitol I..... at this point i cannot do anything, no clicks to open or close the browser down as it just stops, when i click on the cross to close, it asks if i want to end a non responsive prog, and i click yes...... and do it again and again and again before it relinquishes and slides down the screen .. albeit slowly to close help !!!!!!! never had this problem before updating to firefox 4

I would like to install the Firefox B Add on but when I do to 'add to firefox it tells me the following:- this Persona requires Firefox 3.6. You are currently using Firefox 3.0.13. But I downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0.1 which is confirmed when I check the 'about firefox on the help menu Can you help me please as I am not a techno but a 'silver surfer'!!

I have read most of the information available for the, "Firefox is not able to show the Toolbar. Please re-install the Toolbar" fixes and nothing works. I can get google toolbar and any other toolbars I want to use but I cannot seem to get rid of this stupid button and the space it wastes at the top of the screen. Is there an easy fix that doesnt require an engineering degree?

When I open Monzilla Foxfire to get to the google window, I am greeted with an 'urgent update message' to update my foxfire for my protection. This occurs on an almost daily basis and to assure that my use is protected I download the free protection that you offer two, three, four times a week, sometimes daily. How often am I suppose to download? And am I doing something wrong?
