I was lissening to online radio. Firefox needed to update. After the latest update the windows media player plugin dissapeared from the add-on list, while still being installed correct. I reinstalled it, but that didn't work. I replaced/deleted some files in firefox as suggested for similiar problems, but that didn't work either. Now I can't play wmp files anymore on firefox.

when I click on the bookmarks icon it opens the bookmarks menu on the left-hand side of the screen but I want to be able to just list the bookmarks in the centre of the screen underneath the bookmarks icon. I used to be able to do this but since resetting Firefox I have not been able to.

So a lot of pages are loading really slow like minutes, like youtube and hot.ee mail service and a lot more. It started to happen when i updated to 20.0. Looked up some suggestions and found that about:config network.http.keep-alive to false help. And so i did it and it worked, but next time i opened firefox again it was slow loading again, but keep-alive is false still, disabled all not nessecary plugins and extensions and i dont seem to find a solution. Been a firefox user for a long time and dont want to change my browser.

Whenever I'm shopping online, if I mouse over a picture if gives me a popup with similar items from other stores, what plugin is doing that and how do I turn it off? It is really annoying. When I am shopping I do not need to know that I can get a random, remotely similar product somewhere else.

In "Set up Sync" Window, "Create a new account" then server: "Select a custom server" -> No field displayed to input server URL. It may be relevant that I get an "unable to read from file" message from FF at startup time.

I like to have my Do Not Track header set to "do not track." However, Firefox resets this header to "Do not tell sites anything about my tracking preferences" every time I close the Preferences window. There is no "save" button, so I assume that settings are automatically saved.

Hi, i've realized that some of my website's banner is not working after the recent updates from firefox, whereas those website's banner is working in google chrome. Hope there is a solution for this as i'm using the firefox for years and wish this issues can be settle. The banner URL is http://www.irs.com.my/slider/index.html

For years my URL address on the Navigation Bar has stretched out far enough to allow most of the URL to show. Then, after a Reload Icon, the Search Engines (Bing, Dictionary, etc.) box would be about a third of the width that the URL box. After that, the rest of the bar is used for Home/Bookmarks/History/etc. Now, without knowing when it occurred, the URL Box is too narrow to see but a few letters of the URL that is entered and its drop down box is the same. I can find no way to widen it. All is working well, but I would like to have the displays appearing as before. I have kept up all the most recent version updates and have version 20 presently. I don't think this happened due to the update ------- at least not immediately. At the same time this occurred, my Bookmarks Toolbar vanished. I made sure the bar was checked, and manually put all the bookmarks I had back in. It is OK now. I thought way back that one could put the cursor at a point on the side of the Navigation Bar's boxes and get an arrow icon that would extend or narrow the boxes. I am not sure of this, but I know it doesn't work that way now. Any help would surely be appreciated! Thank you.

I need your advice. Several months ago Explorer did not make it possible for me to watch videos from Flixxy.com let alone their download. Everything else, worked ok. It kept me asking to download Flush 11. I did that at least 30 times, always successfully and re-started my PC. Did not change a thing! Then I downloaded Firefox and with it I could watch and download Flixxy.com. Five days ago something happened (I forgot what!) and I did uninstall Firefox and reinstalled a new copy. Since then I have a strange outcome: When I start it, Firefox starts with its <Firefox Start Page>. I want Google and I installed it on the usual way and correctly. It comes on, but next time I restart Firefox, their <Firefox Start Page> is the one coming on. Google just does not stay on! Everything else works fine! And if I didn't care with what page they start would be OK: but I want Google! What can you advise me? Why does it happen so? All my anti virus (Norton, Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware don't show any virus. I reinstalled three times Firefox with the same results.I tried to do everything is written in Firefox help. In Internet Explorer, I have BACK and FORWARD arrows when searching the internet, such as in checking out a site like Walmart.com for a catalog item, but in Mozilla, I can't seem to go back to a previous page without losing the entire program. There MUST be a secret that I am missing..... Help!

I'm on the latest Firefox beta channel and up to date to the date. In about:healthreport page, I'm seeing a wrong count of time under "time open": http://i.imgur.com/XdlB17q.png

This is almost 4 years that I can't keep firefox open in this month (I'm sure I didn't waste 4 years of my life on the web either).

Is there any way to reset this count ? Seems like a really useful feature but not working fine for me.

The website I use for investing (Royal Bank of Canada Direct Investing) now does not properly render data that is in a table like format (variable number of rows). A larger size font is used which often causes wrap around. In one case, a table is now given a rather dark gray background making fearing difficult.

Both FF versions now have the problem - so it seems that this may just be a parameter, but I could not see anything obvious.

I would like to avoid resetting everything if possible.

Ive tried defaulting fonts, unchecked all blocked images, reset firefox and removed all mods and still cant display bbc weather maps without getting "sorry, background map image is missing".

I can only see the contents of my bookmarks toolbar via History ⟶ Show All History. And I can't customize the toolbars because I can't bring up the dialogue box.

I'm also having trouble with the sidebar:

Two things I can't get to show in the sidebar are Bookmarks and History (View ⟶ Sidebar ⟶ Bookmarks and View ⟶ Sidebar ⟶ History). The shortcuts don't work either.

Two things I can get to show in the sidebar ScrapBook and Pocket, however, I can't close the sidebar via the top right cross, but have to go via the menu: View ⟶ Sidebar ⟶ Pocket / ScrapBook.

Firefox 21.0 beta channel Mac OS X Version 10.7.5

I created a NEW gmail account with a new Address. When I open firefox the browser window automatically opens into my main gmail account. I keep trying to change the address of the opening page, but no go. It keeps opening into my Old gmail. without my needing to log onto it. Which prevents me from logging onto my new address, so I can receive emails scheduled for the new address. I want to keep the 2 accounts discretely separate.

How do I log into the new address and bypass my original main address w/ gmail with out closing my main email address. The new address may be short lived ( temporarily created for receiving art submissions for a new art exhibit that will last 3 months.)

I have been having issues with certain pages loading correctly but have not been able to resolve the issues. I also tried to create a screen shot to no avail apparently. It's is not with every website only some here and there. Sometimes if I navigate aware and come back to that page it can resolve the issues but more times than not it does not fix the problem. I can also use another web browser such as google chrome or firefox and not run into the same issue. The exact same page will load correctly and as expected. I appreciate your assistance in this matter and I have done some of the trouble shooting steps noted in the frequently asked questions and what you all have suggested to resolve the issue such as clearing the cache, etc but it does not seem to resolve the problem long term
