When a system-wide VPN application (not built into Firefox) is enabled, the behavior of the address bar changes: on the first click, it only shows 5 sites (Top Sites), instead of the usual 9. After pressing the Spacebar, the list from browsing history loads normally. The problem persists after turning off the VPN and only disappears after a full restart of Firefox. Hello, Until a couple of days ago we have been connecting regularly to the samaritanspurse.org website but now the connection times out. All other websites connect with no problem. What can we do to correct this situation. Thank you

Hi there, each time I run firefox, a new firefox icon like the attached picture shows up. Now there are several of them. This starts to crowd the dock, also I'm not sure why they are there because I already have a firefox icon in the main dock. Also they are not windows of a firefox window. Clicking on them does nothing.

Starting with Firefox 147.0, new tabs appear at current tab position when clicking on URL. How can I revert back to new tabs appearing at end tab position when clicking on URL?

this feature absolutely DOES NOT WORK on ANY Firefox desktop browser on MULTIPLE machines I have tried - and actually I'm pretty sure I can say the same thing about the ANDROID app too?

I can confirm EVERY SITE I have trouble signing in using Passkey on Firefox I can SUCCESSFULLY sign into on Chrome - every single time - the issue is clearly the BROWSER

I have tried it on M1 Macbook Pros, on Ubuntu desktops (24.04 LTS) and also on Android

right now I am typing this in on a Firefox I literally just had to Force Quit and restart on a Mac - build 147.0.2 (aarch64)

As I mentioned I can't seem to access my network folders. I only have this issue in this machine but I have my account on 3 different machines on the network with no issues. All have the same extensions and settings.

My bookmarks in the bookmarks toolbar have disappeared, I can no longer save a bookmark anywhere. Some of my bookmark folders have disappeared. I have tried restoring but I get the message "unable to process backup file"even after importing the file from my other laptop using both HTML files and .json files. I tried refreshing firefox, that didn't help. I uninstalled firefox and reinstalled it with the same results. Never had a problem with firefox before, but it's useless now! Can anyone help?

I just got a new laptop and so I am getting everything set up the way that I like it. I have come across a problem with my sidebar though. I like to keep my bookmarks up all the time, but I want them to not be too wide and take up a lot of my screen. On this new computer, there's an addition 5 cms or so of white space at the far left of the tool bar. It had different buttons on it up at the top (one of them had something to do with AI) and a little gear down at the bottom of the space. I was able to remove all of the buttons up at the top, but I can't seem to hide the whole thing. I just want to see my bookmarks, without that extra customization sidebar. Is there a way to hide the spot highlighted in pink, but still have the bookmarks visible?

I manually added shortcuts to my home screen, but everytime I open the browser, the system automatically has added shortcuts I don't want. Also, when I delete these unwanted shortcuts, another unwanted one appears.

how can I stop this from happening?

Answer: Thanks for flagging this. We’re aware that some parts of the newsletter may not display correctly in Firefox, while they do load in other browsers. Unfortunately, this is a browser-specific issue and not something we’re able to control on our end.

I am unable to sign in to my yahoo mail account. It gives me a fault that "something went wrong, please try another device". I can use brave as my browser and sign in with no problem but not with firefox. Any idea why?

From time to time I can’t clear my Firefox history. I try from the menu, then within the settings, to no avail. I restarted Firebox and even my Mac, and the history remains. I used CleanMyMac to empty the cache and the history is still there.

When a video is popped out, in PiP mode, and the "owning" page is scrolled such that the video "origin" scrolls off the viewport, the PiP video pauses. If the video is started again, and the page is scrolled more, it will re-pause.

This seems to be a Firefox behaviour and not a site-specific one.

Is there a setting to keep the video to continue playing?

This would be helpful on Twitter/X, for example, when scrolling the timeline with a PiP playing from a tweet.

Moved from Windows to Mac and now facing this issue, so it seems to be a Firefox + Mac OS compatibility issue.

Have turned on screen recording permissions in Mac settings and some other accessibility permissions that have been suggested and nothing helps.

Will need to use a different browser just to screen share.

Hi, I am using Firefox on Mac Os Tahoe and IOS 18.7 and 26.2 (2 iPads). I have set up synching of my open tabs, but this works only from MacOs to the iPads, not the other way round. When closing MacOs Firefox tabs on the iPads this does not synch back to the Mac. I am missing something?
