Youtube does not work. It shows somekind of default page that is essentially blank. It does say: "Try searching to get started" and "Start watching videos to help us build a feed of videos you'll love."

But it will not respond when I attempt to search anything.

Just noticed this starting yesterday. Possibly it started when Ffox updated to v144.0 and I just didn't notice immediately.

I use the address bar (location bar, awesome bar) for searching (with Google, per settings). Up until very recently, the result of hitting Enter after entering my search string would be the URL for the Google results. This can be very handy to copy; e.g., when offering citations during an online discussion.

However, I don't see the URL anymore. After pressing Enter, my original search string remains there, in the address bar. That's not what I want. Using Google means my original search string is right there at the top of the page, in an input field, that can be made active with a single keystroke. Therefore, if it is intended to be helpful by keep the contents of the address bar what they were before I pressed Enter, may I just say that it is not.

Note: I can get the old desired behavior by going to google[.]com and entering the search string there, but that's an annoyance, after years of being able to simply hit Ctrl-L.

Attached is a screenshot of what I now see. Note what's in the address bar -- my original search string. Previously, it would have been something like "https://www.google.com/search?q=this+is+a+test&sca_esv=[ ...]"

Je choisis de me connecter avec un mot de passe et après avoir validé le mot de passe, j'arrive sur une page qui me dit d'utiliser un autre appareil ou une autre méthode de connexion. Je joins les fenêtres de connexion étape par étape Avec Google Chrome (que je ne veux pas utiliser), je me connecte sans problème à ma boite mail avec les même étapes décrites ci-dessus. Running Windows 11. Receiving notifications from Firefox that indicate system warnings and viruses found. I have run several scans using Norton and there are no viruses. This notification is enticing me to click to remove the errors, which seems to clearly be a phishing scam, but I have never seen this as a notification from my browser as opposed to an email. When I try an option to "disable notifications", Norton blocks it due to it being identified as a dangerous "blacklist URL". I can't find a mozilla setting to block this.

Can Firefox do anything to recover all of the downloads I'd saved until I accidentally had CCleaner erase everything? I don't know what else was deleted, but getting them back would be a big help.

"This profile was previously synced to a different account To keep your data organized and secure, each Firefox profile can only be synced to one account. To sign in using xxx@xxxx.xxx, create a new profile."

So I deleted my old mozilla account since I abandoned the email that it was linked to, but when I tried to sync with my new account I get this. Is there anyway to do this without having to make a new profile?

I tried making a new profile and copy and pasting my profile into the new one, but still get the same pop up. I guess there's something in my profile that says it's been synced before, is there anyway I can find that and delete it or change it?

Where is the shortcut on the toolbar for an extension? Specifically, 1 Password? It's installed, but it doesn't seem to automatically complete the password fill-in.

Onedrivelive.com displays (now already 2 months) a blank screen when opening from a "your memories from this day" email (coming from ******@onedrive.com ). Screen of rolling, blank gibberish appears. And by gibberish I mean the screen is brownish with waves of dark/light color going back and forth across the screen. it only happens when I open the link in Firefox, NOT for example in Edge. WHY IS THIS ERROR IN FIREFOX?

On my Windows 11 computer messages keep cropping up supportably from Firefox. I have switched the computer off. this is from my old computer. I don't know what to do now. Colin

I know the sites are secure (unless something is happening that I don't know about). I just want to get onto them, especially the Christmas site. Is it to do with Bitdefender?? I hope someone can help as the letter I want to write is getting time sensitive.

I have a pacer account and it instructed me to download Firefox than go to tools to add adobe so I can submit documents to the court online. Im getting confused can anyone help walk me through this process

Since a few days, Firefox started crashing each time I receive a notification.

For example, with this notifications test website: https://www.bennish.net/web-notifications.html

Each time I click on the "Show" button to display a notification, Firefox becomes completely unresponsive: the content of the window is completely frozen and I can't click on anything. I must close it and restart it to make it work again. When I restart it, a dialog displays:

> Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window.

In both applications, the notification is never shown: the freeze occurs before.

I tried the following changes but they did not stop the issue from occuring:

- Deactivating hardware acceleration - Troubleshooting mode - Deactivating firefox notifications in Windows - Deactivating `alerts.useSystemBackend` and `alerts.useSystemBackend.windows.notificationserver.enabled` in `about:config`

At the same time, I noticed that Thunderbird (v144.0.1, 64bits) started having the same issue. It haappens each time I receive a new message in the background and a notification should appear. Maybe this is related?

Recently, when I open a new tab in Firefox (Windows) I started getting a drop-down box for Google instead of shield, lock, and sliders followed by the query/address bar. See attachment. I have no way to drag and drop this search query address. If I follow this by clicking on the search icon in the Google query field below, I get the normal Firefox address bar with the lock icon and the ability to save the query address by dragging and dropping the lock icon. How can I get back to the normal Firefox browsing address bar.

OMG someone please help me...I have used Firefox forever as my work browser. I have saved passwords to client accounts for 3rd party sites, etc. It has EVERYTHING. I updated my Mac with the latest software install today and when I opened Firefox it didn't restore my tabs. I got stuck in a loop where it would not update to the current version of Firefox. I uninstalled Firefox and re-installed it and LOST EVERYTHING. I AM FREAKING OUT because all my bookmarks are lost and I don't even know what they are - I have tried to restore bookmarks and it goes back to 2022 and 2023 and when I restore nothing happens. ANYONE SOMEONE please tell me you know how to help me find my stuff otherwise I am cooked.

I'm running the current version (144.0, 64-bit) on a Dell Inspiron laptop. Just now, I tried to save a bookmark, but I found that a goodly number (not all) of my bookmark folders had disappeared. When I tried to restore from a Firefox backup, I got an "Unable to process file" message. What's wrong , how do I fix it, and how do I get the missing bookmarks back?

Once a week or so, Firefox crashes unexpectedly. The popup indicates its alerting Microsoft of the crash, but apparently not notifying Mozilla.

Once such a crash occurs, I close Firefox. Reopening it results in a crash shortly after all tabs open and I click on something (usually 3 or 4 tabs are open). No matter how many times I let Firefox close and then I reopen it, the crash recurs. The only recovery is a complete reboot of my PC.

How can I get and submit crash reports to support in hopes of getting a resolution?

I am running Firefox 144.0 on kubuntu 24.04.3 LTS I have lost sound on Firefox. I have opened the same sites in Chrome and the sound is working fine. It's only in Firefox. I have tried several sites including Udemy, YouTube, and radio programs, no sound from Firefox. The problem started in the middle of a Jit.Si session. All of a sudden the sound disappeared. I thought that restart Firefox would help, then restart the computer would help. But the problem has continued. The speakers is turned on the volume is up, just not a sound from Firefox. What to do?

I've been using "unload tab" feature in the right click menu a lot, because my device is slow and I like to keep tabs open. (Thank you so much for adding it!) I love that it makes tabs that I unload manually have grey icons, this is super helpful for keeping track of which tabs are processing and which aren't Can you change it or make a setting so that tabs that are not loaded yet (tabs opened by by the "restore tabs when reopening browser" setting for example) are also grey? It would help me keep track of which tabs are loaded and when. In other words, right now it's possible for a tab to have a color icon when it's not loaded, and I want to make that impossible, so I can keep track better.
