the last update disabled my group speed dial that had hundreds of saved research bookmarks. How do I go back to the previous version and restore my group speed dial bookmarks? The update should have warned that this extension would be disabled. This is a disaster!

I have just had to replace my PC following a bit of a disaster with my old one. The new PC has Windows 11. As usual I downloaded Firefox as I always use this. Somewhere in the installation of Firefox I must have been asked about blocking ads, but I don't remember. Now all ads are blocked, which I don't mind, but some sites are asking me to disable my ad-blocker if I want to use their site. Mostly I don't but there is one I need to use, so I would like to add that site as an exception, but I cannot find any mention of any ad-blocker in settings. Where do I find this? and how do I add exceptions?

The only add-on that I have in Firefox is the 'Privacy Badger' which could be the problem I suppose, but I can't see the website listed in the ones Privacy Badger is blocking.

I'm away at another location for a few months out of the year. The computer in the other location is almost identical to this one, done in a very simple manner, by using a backup and then reinstalling everything from previous computer to current, most of which is data.

The Firefox profile is copied over and then the version of the program from that other computer is copied, so the profile and program match. The last step is to disable each add-on individually, then to immediately enable them again. (Otherwise, the browser won't connect to the internet.)

I followed the same procedure today as every single time. But then I noticed the blank new tab add-on isn't working. And upon looking at the add-ons...none of the enabled ones are listed (or working). Only the disabled and recommended ones. I don't even know which were installed, and would have a hell of a time figuring out which ones are supposed to be there, and how they're set up.

Where did they go, and how can they be reinstated?

This has never happened before, and I've been doing this same thing for at least 3 years.

I know that there is already default containers built-in without the need of the extension. But there's no way to open tabs in containers when we click a link, only when it's typed in. There's an option in settings that allow to pick a container when a new tab is opened, but that's it. It would also be great to move the Mozilla VPN and integration and sync function from the extension to the settings page for easier access.

I am running Firefox 148.0 and Thunderbird 148.0. I am in the process of moving everything to a new (to me) computer that will run Windows 11. When I start Firefox from the start menu or the taskbar everything runs as expected. I have the Adblock Plus extension plus several others running. If I click on a Hyperlink in a email in Thunderbird instead of opening in a new tab into the currently open copy of Firefox as it did on my old computer running Windows 10 it opens in a new window with no extensions. I am assuming that I have something set incorrectly. Any help as to where I should look to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Unable to identify/locate the controls (Settings??) necessary to inhibit/deselect/delete un-commanded popups/assist/help boxes that cover over parts of the underlying informational/data dense page

Since Firefox updated to version 148.0 it has broken my ability to download any extension and I get that Installation aborted message for any extension I try to download.

It also broke my ad blocker, ublock origin, when it updated to 148.0

The extensions I use are: Adblock Plus Ghostery Privacy Badger Privacy Possum uBlock Origin

Which one of these add ons offered encryption? Is this something I can uninstall? Not all attachments are encrypted, but some are. Thanks JM

I installed the Norton AntiTrack App on my computer, then added the Norton AntiTrack Extension to Mozilla Firefox. After these installations, Firefox is still unable to communicate. I've deleted all installations, reinstalled and i continue to get the message unable to communicate when I click on the Norton AntiTrack Extension pinned to the menu bar. I have spent hours trying to figure this out without success.

With the "Drag & DropZones" mode of the "Selected Text Searchers" extension, one can highlight some text on the page and then "drag" it, whereupon a screen of defined search engines appear as an overlay on the page, allowing for "dropping" of the text on top of any of the search engines, initiating using that search engine to search for the highlighted text. This stops working after 148.0: the search engines overlay does not come up, replaced with only the non-working icon on the mouse cursor.

How to edit shortcut keys for the extension- Read Aloud: A Text to Speech Voice Reader ?

When trying to assign a new shortcut of my choice, it gets deleted automatically.

I was able to do so in Chrome and Edge browsers.

Please help me to assign the same shortcut keys in Firefox also..
