Everytime I select Firefox-Settings.. the Settings window opens and then crashes

This crashes with Troubleshoot mode selected

I just tried the free Avast anti-track product. I ran a browser clean-up which included browser cache but NOT browser history. (they give you options on what to clear). Now I have lost the 50+ tabs I always open on startup. I have also lost all browser history older than 2 weeks. Avast can't help. Anyone know how I can recover my tabs?

When I login to sites using an email address and password, quitting and relaunching Firefox reveals that I remain logged into those services. However, if I use a single sign on option such as the "Sign in with Google" login option to access an account, I find that each and every time I launch Firefox I am forced to sign back into the account. This is not the case with any other web browser I use as they all remember the account I am logged into using a single sign on option. Does anyone understand why Firefox requires using the single sign on option each time I relaunch the browser while it remembers email address/password logins without issue?

To troubleshoot, I have verified that I use the "Standard" browser privacy option at about:preferences#privacy. In fact, I have been using Firefox's default preferences across the board. The only aspects of Firefox which I've customized are the theme and the extensions installed: Dark Reader, Simple Translate, YouTube Auto Like, Tweaks for YouTube, and Gesturefy.

After rebooting a Windows 10 computer, and starting Firefox, two Firefox Windows open. The second one opens Yahoo on it's Tab with no other Tabs open. Before booting, there was only one Firefox window open. This has happened before in the past.

Could this be fixed.

I have also reported several times that at times, Bookmark folders are found missing but found in strange places where I did NOT move them. I have been told that this could be possibly caused because of my very large Bookmark file. It would be very nice if this was resolved. I have reported this at bugzilla.mozilla.org.

Yesterday firefox private window comes up on my browser...I do NOT want that, how to get rid of it?? My desktop is set up with menus for quick reference; I cannot get past this private window

As per subject. When i click a Mailto link in a webpage, eMClient opens OK, but message window does not. Seems to be a Firefox problem because it works fine in Chrome. I've checked the Firefox and Windows (10) settings; all seems as it should be. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I often use Ctrl+Number to jump to a fixed tab, whereas on Linux the shortcut is Alt+Number, which causes some inconveniences. Is it possible to make Firefox use Ctrl+Number to switch tabs on Linux?

At some point after a Firefox and/or Windows update, Firefox started to stall after working for a while. When I open Firefox, I start surfing using multiple tabs, using bookmarks, typing URLs, or clicking on web links and then suddenly, the little dot in the current tab where I am trying to access another link, starts moving right and left indefinitely, apparently waiting or unable to access the desired page. After that I type well-known URLs (such as google.com) that I know "always" work, and the same thing happens. From then on Firefox cannot access any URL I throw at it (no error messages or warning of any kind) until I close Firefox and reopen. Once I reopen, the cycle repeats: it works for a while until it doesn't. I have cleared all cookies and caches, I have erased or disabled all extensions, but the problems persists. Any advise? I can't use Firefox on my Mac with the Reddit.com web site because letters vanish. I started to type "Mac" but aafter the "M" nothing appeared and I got the message "Server Error."

I just had a similar thing happen on the InternetArchive (archive.org).

Chrome and Safari work perfectly.

I've updated Firefox several times with this problem.

My internet has 750mb of bandwidth. Updated 64bit Firefox can only provide 320mb. I installed Chrome and the internet went to 800mb. What could be slowing down internet speed in Firefox? I restored Firefox, restarting everything. I did the same with Windows 10. I restored it to an earlier date. It didn't improve anything. What to do ?

Hi, I would like to remove the hints that appear below the sign-in box for my email account (yahoo). I want to be able to type in my email address each time without being prompted by a hint address (windows 11/firefox browser). Please help me eliminate/delete the addresses that auto-populate the hints email addresses. Thank you.

ps: please note that I do not have an in-depth understanding of computers or computer development language (mostly computer illiterate). I cannot write or change code.

I'm a long time FF user, the developer edition is my preferred browser. It suddenly started crashing, a complete removal and new install did not help.I posted a help question a couple of weeks ago but no workable solution surfaced unfortunately. I assume the problem is still the same.

ps. I'm currently using the standard FF verison and it runs smooth as ever....

Hello! I've been noticing for several versions of Firefox that the response times reported in the “Network” tab of the developer console are wrong. In Chrome it shows the true value, which are a few ms, while in Firefox they show that it takes several seconds!!!! I attach the images of the problem.

When I start FireFox most times the browser comes up then stops and restarts with a pink color on the web address line. I have tried making changes in settings but I can not find a setting for this. If I restart Firefox right after this happens, I cn search or browse without the Pink address line. Why is this happening. It would be nice if FireFox technicians would respond to help questions instead of sending questions to a forem...

I restarted my Windows 11 laptop and got error message about user profile. Restarted again and looks like it was corrupted so deleted my my user profile and Firefox config and bookmarks are gone!

Still have all the files just a new user profile and the old one is gone?

Any help how to get Firefox bookmarks back would be much appreciated

So I got a new ultra-ultra wide 32:9 monitor and I noticed when I have firefox maximized on my new monitor and switch focus to a different window all of the text on tabs on the full screened firefox would go very blurry. If I had the same firefox windows full sized on my 16:9 secondary monitor this didn't happen. I then tried having the windows not maximized on the new monitor and it did not do this behavior when it was occupying what I would say was 1/3 of the screen width but if I stretched the screen too far it would again go back to this blurry behavior. So it seems like the text for the tabs behaves differently after the firefox window is stretched to a certain width. On the non-stretched firefox windows the letters simply get darker which I find to look better than the blurring. I added a screenshot that shows the differences I am seeing, the firefox window on the bottom screen shows the blurring, if you look at what would be the left middle side of the screenshot, while the top and bottom middle firefox windows show what it seems like it should look like.

I have been using Firefox as my preferred browser on Windows 10 Home and Pro systems for a considerable time and have recommended it to many Windows and Android users.

Windows 10 Home ver 10.0.19045 has recently been unable to access many well-known websites due to

Secure Connection Failed - An error occurred during a connection to <website's https url> PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR.

There are multiple reports of this problem from 2023 up into 2024 in Mozilla support and across the web, but no solutions. Curiously all of the problem reports mention Firefox not any other browser. Suggestions to try multiple fixes, but none have resolved the problem.

One posting on Mozilla Support marked RESOLVED says the problem mysteriously went away for that user. Lots of people still seem to be having this problem, so how about a fix.

I cannot download any files or any adons through firefox. I have tried every single troubleshooting method in the "What to do if you can't download or save files" article I have restarted my computer, I have refreshed firefox, I have reinstalled firefox TWICE, I have turned off my firewall and tried downloading a file, I have changed the wifi im connected to, I can download files on internet explorer just fine, I have tried a new profile, I have scanned my device for viruses (theres none), I have no idea what the troubleshooting mode is supposed to do because I cannot download files in that either. I currently have no ad-ons installed because of the refresh I dont know what else to do and why is my firefox doing this, it started yesterday.
