I Install Firefox Aurora as it support windows 8 style app. But In the windows 8 mode , the tab are hidden which I think is a good style. But I cant see any option to see them when I want. I just can see them when I open a new window. And select the option "open in the new window", it just show the tab bar which is not like the original version of Firefox. And also the search engine here is bing.com . How to change it.

Hi! I've installed aurora and started it in metro mode, so where are all the menus and stoff gone? In particular, how do I access all my bookmarms? Lots of Greetings! Volker

In windows 8 the screen can be split into a desktop half and app half, it would be very useful if Aurora could be opened in the app half of the operating system and allow normal desktop work to go on in the other half, on a windows 8 desktop I can see no advantage in using Aurora instead of Firefox if this is not possible, it is a bit of a let down to be honest, I thought Aurora was an excellent and practical idea.

Is there a way for this windows 8 app to be opened as an app, or is it limited to desktop?

I noticed something stopping me from using Aurora for Windows 8 Metro, and that is the lack of a "show links on hover" mode. That, is whenever I hover the mouse pointer over a link, or I hold down a finger on a link, unlike in IE 11 (or in Aurora/Firefox desktop mode) the URL of the link does not appear.

This may not be the place to put this (I am sorry!), but I thought it would be something to highlight.

While using Hotmail in Aurora ver.28.0a2, and trying to attach a photo to an email, as an attachment, it will often freeze up Hotmail which subsequently crashes. It does not occur all the time and if I reopen the browser and Hotmail, it usually will send the e-mail with the attachments.

It was working fine until some point I am not sure what happened.

I been OCing stuff lately so not sure if that has something to do with it. But I have latest Aurora and Greasemonkey, and for some reason the process loads, but not the program. It doesn't display at all.

I had no idea what was causing it and kinda started removing one by one and found out which it was.

I even tried removing all the scripts but that didn't work.

Tampermonkey works fine with Chrome atm. So I do not understand. I have pretty much the same scripts installed.

For any possible information would help. I tried asking about greasemonkey but nothing from that atm. My problem seems kinda unique so I am posting here to possibly find this out. It bothers me not using my scripts I like.

Firefox Aurora force updated last night and the addon bar is missing. It doesn't come up with Ctrl+/, it's not on the customize page, it's not listed under toolbars.

The new Aurora Australis is absolute garbage. None of my prospector addons work anymore, my most important standard addons (Tab Mix Plus, Stratiform, just to name two) are now nonfunctional, I am physically unable to change tabs using mouseclicks, and the User Interface is glitchy, primarily in that some icons are completely transparent and are as such invisible. If I wanted an overly simple, unintuitive interface, I would have downloaded Chrome or Safari. Can I please get a download for the most recent version of Aurora pre-29 (Australis)? Thank you.

They can be closed and navigated via keyboard, but are not accessible via mouse Many addons do not work, including: Prospector - LessChrome Prospector - OneLiner Prospector - SearchPreview Tab Mix Plus Stratiform Any and all personas do not fully cover the UI Icons are invisible, including Tab Groups New Tab Add to Bookmarks

All I need in terms of "chrome" is two rows: Row 1: from left to right, url bar, bookmark star, tabs, new tab button, home button, AdBlock Plus icon, Stylish icon. Row 2: the bookmarks toolbar.

I don't need a title bar or a menu bar or any other buttons. That's it. The rest of my screen shows me the web page I'm on. Which is what I want.

I could do all that with the Customize palette in Firefox from versions 4 up till version 28.

Now, I've installed Aurora (Fx 29) with Australis. I cannot use the Customize palette to move the url bar anymore. When I drag it, it just slides back.

I know there are two extensions, OneLiner and CTR that allow me to address this issue but ... I don't want to use CTR because it has a lot of other code I don't need and OneLiner doesn't work as well as dragging and dropping the url bar where I want. I'm also not sure this extension is being maintained.

My questions are: Why was moving the url bar via the Customize panel made impossible? Is there some sort of CSS (and the Stylish extension) to do what I want?

This move will hit users of small screens. I was quite happy until version 28. Version 29 is going to make me sad because the increased wasted area on my screen.

I updated my Firefox version either yesterday or the day before. I'm currently running Aurora 29.0a2. Ever since I updated, I've found several issues:

When I go in to customize, all I can do is move around the buttons. I used to be able to add in spacing, but there's no longer an option for that. I can't move my tabs bar underneath the url bar, which is how I used to have it (shame on me for clicking "Restore defaults"). Is there another place where there are proper customization options?

Also, my status bar seems to have disappeared. On the status bar I had the loading text and hover-url text, as well as fox clocks. The entire bar is gone. I can manage with Status4ever, but if I try to have the status text show up in the actual status bar, it doesn't. There is no bottom bar at all. Is there some option I need to select somewhere or something?

Well, new aurora, yippie, who the F asked for it?!?

It looks like some macbook crap. Well anyways - i cant put my tabs back on the bottom as you could with the browser.tabs.on.top true/false line in the about:config. Also there is apparently no option to drag your search line down to the addon toolbar at the bottom, because the addon toolbar is non existent.

Is there anyway to undo the crap they did, or is it permanent?

I use fox for work and like the tabs below the address bar. In the past i used browser.tabs.onTop to fix this problem, but it does not seem to work with firefox aurora version 29.0a2 (2014-02-07).

I tried changing default browser to IE and then back to firefox and nothing changed. Also I tried reinstalling firefox and it fixed error for a day but now its back. I can open firefox with Run->firefox.exe and right clicking on icon in taskbar and selectiong new tab. Also I scanned PC for viruses and nothing was found. Biggest issue firefox no longer opens when I click on links, so I had to change default browser to IE.

Since an upgrade to Firefox 30 copy (ctl+v) is not working. The "Linux-Way" (marking with left mouse button, copy with middle button) works fine. Any solution available or is it a bug?

For some reason, Mozilla Support has no section for me to ask a question about Mozilla Aurora. I need to know how to reach the about: config page in Aurora and no one has apparently asked this question before. Someone please help me on this issue because no one seems to know
