Yesterday, possibly related to updating to version 148, my profile completely disappaered. My old profiles are not visible under about:profiles, but are present on disk. They can not be imported with firefox -P. How do I get my profile data back?

When I try to connect to www.qsuper.qld.gov.au, I get this message:

I have checked that javascript is enabled and I do not have Ghostery or NoScript plugins. Interesting, the "support article" was hyperlinked and I could not access that either. (https://ds.tl/help-third-party-plugins, and the message is"server not found") I have rung Qsuper who advise me that there website is fine. Please advise any strategies. Many thanks in anticipation.

For the past 15-16 days, Firefox has been consuming extremely high memory.

The problem: - When Firefox first opens, it starts normally at around 300-400 MB - But after using it for about 1 hour, a single Firefox window grows to 1-2 GB of RAM - This keeps increasing the longer I use it (memory leak behavior) - Currently Firefox (41 processes) is using over 5,131 MB total memory on my system it's normal but after 1 hour a single firefox window grows to 1-2 GB of RAM

What I have tried: - The issue happens consistently every day for the past 15-16 days - Other browsers like Chrome and Chromium use much less memory in comparison

System info: - OS: Windows 11 - Firefox version: latest version 148.0.0.0

Please help me fix this memory leak issue. It is making my system very slow.

Tell me a working method of getting firefox to change my password so as to stop me having to sign in every time I need to use it. Worked before but doesn't work now.

For about a month I've had to use Chrome because my bookmarks scramble or become unoperatable, then about 4 days ago they started saving again & all bookmarks worked fine. This lasted about 3 days then went back to becoming dead or wrong (may all say 1 or 2) sites I visit. a restart may lose any new bookmarks, & the rest of my bookmarks are either wrong site or dead links. How do I correct? I have tried new downloads & the new Firefox acts just like the messed up version. Probably a simple setting but I give up, can't find the solution. Any help appreciated. When trying to access the Princess Cruise website I just keep getting a blank page. Princess says I need to remove extensions. I have read and read and to be honest I am totally confused. Please help.

Firefox is CONSTANTLY crashing now and I'm about ready to switch to another browser unless someone can give me a reason to stay.

I have a situation - which I had previously researched and resolved - that has come back to haunt me.

I use an ultra-widescreen monitor and searching/browsing obviously necessitates a center-screen search box which, up until now, Firefox has provided cleanly and with simplicity. However, I see that (once again) despite cursor placement in the center-screen box the search text is being entered in the address bar which is wholly impractical for me since I have to look about 60 degrees left and upwards to see what I am typing.

I say "again" because when this happened previously I was able to make a config change and resolve it but despite that still being in effect - the ".handoffToAwesomebar" is still set to FALSE - search text now has moved back to the address bar.

A brief search of this community yielded no answers. Is there any other known fix or has this now be thrust upon us permanently and thou shalt adapt?

Three days ago a window popped up asking me to update Firefox. I did and afterwards my personal bookmarks listing disappeared. I tried rebooting everything. No luck. I went to your website and followed all of your suggestions, but again nothing worked; mainly because I could not find on my computer the info the last step in your suggestions were asking for. (I did get a message several times telling me I was using an old Firefox profile. I tried to investigate, but each time your instructions told me to look for something as the last or next-to-last step, I ended not being able to find it on my computer. Again, I have tried everything. Please help me.

I started using a new laptop and when I receive emails through Outlook, the excel attachments won't open and I get a message saying that I don't have the pdf software. These are Excell files, not PDF. I've tried all the suggestions on-line but they still won't download as Excel files, only Firefox files.

The size of the slider is so tiny, it is extremely difficult to see let alone manipulate. Is there a setting which would allow a user to make them much wider, thereby easier to see and manipulate? Thanks

Where do I input my recovery Key to get my account back? I recently had to get a new mother board and hard drive on my laptop. In the process, it wiped out my Firefox. I have reinstalled Firefox and have my previous Recovery Key to get my bookmarks passwords but can not locate where to enter the recovery key to do this. All I can seem to find is how to create a recovery key, not where to enter an already existing recovery key. Please help.

Previous solution: switch browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar to false does not work anymore.

I am seeing pop up ads like these on the lower right corner of my screen since I updated to windows 11. I've never seen this with windows 10. Microsoft is telling me these are coming through my browser. These are not when I am in a web site and get the pop up to allow notifications, I always say no. These come @ 1 per week or less and I don't seem to be able to stop them. Is there a setting in firefox that will stop them or is this a microsoft issue? thanks brian
