Emails used to display the sender's names but stopped displaying sender's name, happens in all email accounts viewed in Firefox. Once the emails are marked as Unread, the names are displayed as should be. Have cleared cookies and searched preferences for something to change. Mac OS 10.10.5, Firefox 63.0.

Running Firefox 63.0 on my Mac OS 10.10.5. Have Bitdefender installed. Receiving "Your connection is not secure" when trying to get to most web sites. I found instructions on Scan SSL feature when using Windows, but cannot find instructions for Mac. Nor can I figure out how or where to turn on or off Scan SSL. How can I correct this so I can use Firefox with Bitdefender?

When I go on the web for help, it says to get into profile go to Help/Troubleshooting Information. When I do, Application Basics does not show up. If I search through Help for Application Basics, it doesn't show up so I can't get into profile to make changes. Any suggestions, please. I haven't been able to save bookmarks for a while, even downloading the latest Firefox edition.

It just floats there until I close it, button upper left of console. I am not a developer but I followed the instructions to fix this, as posted in here a year ago (almost exactly). The instruction to "right click" is irrelevant ... what to click? there is a list of hundreds of entries, some default, many modified. I haven't modified anything, I swear. Started about a week ago, update before last (last was within last 36 hours).

When I upgraded to v62.0 I noticed that all bookmarks in my toolbar have arrows/chevrons. not just folders. It's a really weird UI change. Any idea how to only show on folders?

I really hope this issue isn't impossible to solve. The reason for wanting to disable the private browsing should be obvious - you may have kids in your house using your computer and chances are you don't want them to have the option of going places they shouldn't without their parents knowing about it.

An answer would be greatly appreciated!

My 2008 iMac died recently and after several attempts by professionals, I was unable to get her started. I then had the hard drive taken out and cloned, so I have all the data that was on that computer. copying files is easy enough. But, I need to restore all the bookmarks I had stored on my browser (Firefox).

I have tried using the clone as the start up disk, but it will not recognize the external drive and allow me to use it as a start up disk. my laptop reads the external HD fine, and I'm able to navigate the various folders and copy and move files as normal. I just can't use it as my start up drive.

I imagine I have to navigate the various Firefox system files to get to the file that has my bookmarks and place it in the appropriate folder in my laptop's system folders to get them to open?

Can anyone help with this?

Since I was in Kenya in June Swahili is showing up on my searches. It says English when I go to your preferences but still Swahili. Notice the Swahili words in the photo below taken from a search I was doing. Linda

While downloading a link in order to watch live video of the Tour de France, Yahoo page took over my home page. I can't access any of my favorites, email , or anything. I used Firefox as my home page. It still shows firefox but the Yahoo empty page. I tried the different suggestions & downloaded Malware. The home page will not go away! I don't live anywhere near an Apple store.

Thank you for enabling Gmail's Google Hangout phone dialer and making it compatible to your browser!!! I wish you had a feedback link to leave things like this. I have to go through so much just to thank you. Hardly makes it worth all the bother. But I wanted to be sure that I appreciate that you finally did this! Making me open Chrome just to make a phone call doesn't make sense if you want to keep your users. Glad you finally did it. And what a surprise that I ran across the fact that it finally works! I had to restore default settings in Firefox, but now all tabs are black (as is my desktop background) so I don't like that. How to change the tab colors. I've looked everywhere, but no luck. thanks.

I can't find anything on my computer that describes "org.mozilla.firefox.plist" I am not allowed to empty my trash because of the above message. Where can I find mozilla firefox playlist so I can turn it off and delete it?

Only 1 of my 3 computers has this problem ( so far ), thought font issue so turned off all System fonts & re-activated but no luck

I have had this problem previously but can't remember how it was fixed. I have ditched the previous Firefox application and reinstalled a new version but still got the same problem.
