Hi, this site when trying to login keeps looping, it has only happened recently and I've cleared cookies and disabled all the addons for it, the site works, but when trying to login it loops https://www.nexusmods.com and says in the loop-

users.nexusmods.com

even tried in private browsing, cannot use any other web browser. Please help thanks.

Hi,

is there a way to change the start direction of shift+arrow left/right in the address bar when it suggests an address for completion? It's the other way around in chrome and I got very used to it over the past years. now since I switched to firefox recently it's annoying me somewhat that I can't use this shortcut which I used like 20+ times a day before.

Here is an example, I'm starting to type an Address and then after 3-4 letters starting to press shift+arrow left/right. In Chrome it moves from where I stopped typing (which makes more sense for me at least): https://screencloud.de/638c84d6e432c.gif In Firefox is starts from the end of the suggested URL (which is kinda useless in most cases): https://screencloud.de/638c8507d973f.gif

If there isn't an option for that I'd suggest adding one maybe, cause It's really helpful to quickly correct somehing without having to touch the mouse ot type the entire address out by hand if the suggested url is really long.

After moving to Firefox 91.9.1esr I found problem with System theme 1.2. The color of tab add button was changed, and the button is not visible with my Windows 7 classic windows system theme. So, I'm trying to find a way to port System theme 1.0 color scheme to newer firefox versions.

Creation of a simple theme with firefox color extension works. But it is unable to recreate the effects related to active and inactive window color changes. As, I had to use bitmap to get the OS blue color transition pattern.

It seems the system theme is stored in omni.ja file. Modification of the omni.ja seems to be not a practical solution. So, it would be a better way to create an addon theme with the same code as the System Theme 1.0.

The first question is, if it will be possible to create a theme with the same code as a system theme has. Will it be able to perform the same way?

The next question is: Where the source code of the system theme is? I was unable to find it in the Firefox source. It seems, it is not stored in any obvious location.

This has been mentioned numerous times and many posts archived without any simple answer or solution for the users from Mozilla - at least from what I could see trawling through the comments. Also many criticisms doing a general internet search. Please add an option/toggle to disable this list so for those users who do not want it can toggle it off. I haven't been paying attention but not sure when this list appeared in this format. I am just a basic user with minimal IT knowledge.

Hi! under accounts.firefox.com/settings the language displayed is Norwegian Nynorsk even though i have set Norwegian Bokmål as my prefered language in the Firefox browser settings. I couldn't find a separate language setting on the accounts.firefox.com/settings page so im guessing this a bug/oversight/mixup when the browser attempts to look up the preferred language set in the browser?

Norwegian has two official written standards Bokmål and Nynorsk.

i hope to ask in the right way. i got a problem yesterday. Firefox stop working (when i try to go a webpage and/or open settings) nothing happened. i searched here and to be quick it was problem with VCRUNTIME140_1.dll missing. unfortunately before understanding it was enough to copy the file in the directory of Mozilla i decided to uninstall and reinstall firefox and this come the surprise: i have created my profile like for other browsers so i was thinking once re-enter in my profile theme, settings, bookmarks and passwords were restored..... and actually they are but not the actual ones... some 6-months or 1 year ago version.... WHY???

i changed a lot in this period and this is not good for me. luckily i was able to import manually bookmarks as i have backup of all my hard drive did 2 days ago but passwords, themes, settings.... how it happens? it was my mistake in something? i thought sync was useful in this scenario....now i have fear that even if i fix everything next time i will have same problem..... SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH. i hope it was clear what happened to me.

Hi, I've had Firefox 64 bit running on Windows for a while and recently was given a newer machine where I installed a newer version of the OS. I put the old HDD's as slaves in this new machine. So the old FF is in the slave machine.

I have also installed new Firefox on this new Win10 LTSC, but when I go looking in my now slave HDD I can see FF, but cannot see any bookmarks. Additionally, when I run the FF executable in the old HDD it still runs the new FF, without the old bookmarks.

So how can I extract the old bookmarks on the older FF? Without withdrawing the now slave HDD and making it a master again? As it's now missing most of the OS files too.

First, this post is basically Congratulations for Firefox upon working almost flowlessly under this extreme heavy load without crashing. Saving/loading sessions works well. (which is unexpected but makes me _very_ happy :-)) Firefox exits properly without any exceptions, no matter how long it runs, or how many times the PC is sent to STR mode meanwhile.

Second, everything is fine, except RAM usage. No matter how many RAM is installed, Firefox takes up all of it after a few days of normal operation. I have recently upgraded my PC from 16 to 24 GB of RAM only for this sole reason to see if anything changes, but it did not produce any noticable change, except that it takes 5-7 days for Firefox to fill up all the RAM instead of the 3-4 days before. Disk space on C: drive was nullified by Firefox as the paging file went up to 50 GB.

I want to hunt down this thing. I have approx. 300 tabs, 2 addons, and Hardware Acceleration is disabled since otherwise Fox hangs several times a day (have to be killed from outside). Pics are attached. https://addons.mozilla.org/hu/firefox/addon/tree-tabs/ https://gitlab.com/kroppy/TreeTabs

I'd like to get suggestions where to start.

  1. Disabling or replacing the adblocker ?
  2. Inspecting memory usage on Process Manager (about:processes) and Task Manager (about:performance) pages ?
  3. Installing some external tools like Firemin ?

Please don't suggest neither safe mode nor disabling all addons, since that makes it impossible to reproduce this amount of load, which is the primary reason behind the symptom.

I PrtScr'ed Process Manager and Task Manager, see that RAM sizes per page are normal in Task Manager, but not in Process Manager (10 times more).

CPU usage is totally normal for this load, even when memory is in the heaven. See the TaskMan pic. (I suppose that's because of ad blocking)

Ever since yesterday, scroll click (I use it to scroll through websites) has stopped working in Firefox. Works in in programs, other browsers, etc., just not Firefox.

Whats weird is it still registers a click when I use it, so I can lick on links with it if I want, but the function of scrolling, either by clicking once and using my mouse to go up and down, or by clicking an holding, no longer works.

I've tried disabling add-ons, incognito mode, nothing seems to work.

Crashing on startup Win 11

Firefox has just started crashing on startup every time I try to open it out of the blue with no changes to anything in the browser. I've tried opening in troubleshooting mode, still crashes instantly. I've refreshed, revo uninstalled and cleaned everything firefox related off my system and reinstalled but still have the exact same issue with a fresh install.


I managed to get the crash log from the backed up folders when it reinstalled. Any suggestions?
