So I have a video playing on firefox, but the moment it drops from the foreground, it immediately pauses the video (the actual video playback). The audio continues, but the video stops until it is back in the foreground, at which point the video continues where it ought to. I have tried disabling the unload tabs in the config menu as well as disable the foreground pausing or whatever its called, as recommended by previous posts. I used to not have this issue at all, so I'm not sure what changed. Please help! Thank you.

I have observed this bug only in Disqus, but another Disqus user has seen it in other web sites viewed via Firefox, so maybe you could check your logic. Here is the original bug:

When entering a Disqus comment [or possibly other text boxes] and using the Enter key to end the first paragraph, the text typed so far is erased. It can be recovered by immediately pressing Ctrl+Z (Undo), but this is not obvious; most users will think they just lost that text, and will retype it. This was sporadic for a year or two, but right now (morning of 10/2/2023) it seems to happen on every comment I type. In the past, it only occurred on the FIRST Enter key, at least if I recovered via Undo. The only contact I have with Disqus is in the comments on an episode of the Kevin and Kell webcomic (https://kevinandkell.com). I am running Windows 10 on a Bootcamp'ed Mac, and my browser is the latest version of Mozilla Firefox.

That is a common problem unique to Firefox. When you hit enter and the post erases, right click in the box and click on "Undo" to get the text back, then you can do what you need to do whether is type more words, or post the comment.

[His recovery is essentially the same as mine, only using the mouse rather than the keyboard.]

Could this be an interaction between Firefox and Disqus? I have not personally seen this on any other website via Firefox, but FreedomFighter apparently has seen it elsewhere.

I switched from chrome to firefox like 2 days ago. Everything went good, but every time i go to youtube it does not remember my login. I have to click the login button and use my phone to confirm the login. Afterwards i get send to an error page only saying "something went wrong". If i click the login button again it suddenly works and i can use my youtube like i used to on Chrome. I use my google account for youtube. Every other login works just fine Reddit, Disney+, Twitch, Prime. I Cleared all my cookies and history and even reinstalled Firefox. only youtube still has this problem. I even added the youtube and google login page to the saved logins. Does someone can offer any help ?

When I open FIrefox it opens briefly maximized, then reverts to minimized, then returns to maximized. I'd like it to open maximized, period.

When I close my sessions there is only a maximized window open. There are no minimized windows open.

How to do I change this behavior?

I can log into mozilla and edge browser on this pc. I can log into mozilla on Android app. I CANNOT LOG INTO MOZILLA ON THE MOZILLA BROWSER ON PC.

I have changed my password multiple times and had to use 2 backup codes all to install google authentification app on my phone. I cannot do this from my edge browser. I also have tried multiple times to install the vpn but that hasn't been successful either.

Mozilla needs a video tutorial on how to do this successfully especially when you don't have a QR code. Im just glad that i saved my backup codes.

I have a new laptop. I want to load up my account but because my password is wrong, I can't. What can I do? When I try to change my password, I'm told it's the wrong password.

I've been looking for help for a week now as to what happened to my ability to print from Firefox? Everything was fine until last week with the update. It's not my printer as I am able to print from other browsers. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Trying to clear saved printer setting per Troubleshooting advice. I even deleted it from my computer to try and get an earlier version but it keeps bringing me back to the latest version that does not work. The worst part was I was trying to back up my computer (restore point) to an earlier date my Webroot was not allowing me to do that I I could not get that turned off. I called the Geek squad who remoted in and made things worse. She somehow deleted my ONLY restore date there. So for a week I have been trying to find help. You are my last resort before I switch to another browser. I work from home so this is not convenient, as I print often. Switching browsers just to print is wasting time (I don't like the other browsers). HELP!

We are having issues with the new updates 118.0.0 and 118.0.1 on Windows 10.

We believe the advanced tracking protection is blocking some of the resources from loading in our application Banner who is provided by Ellucian. We have used a group policy to block Firefox from updating until we are able to resolve this issue.

We attempted to add the Enhanced Tracking Protection exception list but that did not work.

Are you able to provide us with a group policy that we can turn off advanced tracking protection for that one site?

Or are you able to provide us with some assistance with the next steps?

I have adjusted settings to https mode ONLY but I can use Private Mode As a result when I leave settings Are LOST or deleted for my GOOGLE apps connected to my firefox browser. This means I have to reconnect to GOOGLE everytime I reopen my browser !!!

I've built up an extensive library of very important bookmarks in firefox. Last week, I needed to clean my computer and deleted not the bookmarks, but the "downloads" folder of random PDF's and other documents. Now, my bookmarks are all gone and I've taken all the mozilla steps to recover them to no success. I can't even find any browsing history to revisit the sites and create a new bookmark list. Is there a way to access my previous history and bookmarks?

I want to use my 'esmail.hematdoost@gmail.com' instead of current 'hematdoostemail@gmail.com' on my firefox account, but it says that this account has already been confirmed by another user and it has a data breach, apparently on linkedin. I do not understand. both emails belong to me but I cannot use it as secondary email on my firefox!?

Cut /copy and paste, nightmare!!!

what is going on? Cut / copy and paste should be easy, its not. Open a new tab, google homepage, and unable to paste the item I had just copied from another tab, it will only work when I go back to original and recopy? Too time consuming this issue.

When I click a link in a Gmail msg, it opens in the same tab as Gmail. The default for Firefox is supposed to open a link in a new tab. I don't want to lose the open Gmail tab when I open the link. How can I change the behavior so the link opens in a new tab?

I can't turn off lazy loading. I set the following about:config settings to "false":

browser.sessionstore.restore_on_demand browser.sessionstore.restore_tabs_lazily browser.sessionstore.restore_pinned_tabs_on_demand

Nothing changes. When I start Firefox, it simply won't load all tabs. How do I fix this?

I saw no difference when enabled.

I was set up, in myuserchrome.css, to hide my pinned tabs on the tab bar, allowing them to still be available in the "List all tabs" menu, see first image

All of a sudden, it reverted back

That first image, with the hidden tabs, is actually from Librewolf, with has the identical setting.
