The recommended methods, changing to this in the registry :

Reverts back to 00000001

Put this policies.json and did nothing: {

} What am I missing or what's changed?

My specific need at the moment is to add another search engine option in about:preferences#search

When I try to go to costco.ca I get a connectivity error saying site cannot redirect properly. This site works with IE or other browsers.

I'm suddenly getting 30-50 popups a day from the above websites telling me that there are all sorts of trojans and viruses on my computer and telling me to "click here" to fix them. I WANT TO BLOCK THEM... as I'm quite sure they are scams. I just delete them, but they keep coming back How do I block them? Just got another one that says "Mozilla Firefox -- Trojan virus detected! Scan and delete with McAfee -- click here: via d14an00hubcc73a1lt40.quickupdevice.co.in". ...and I just got two more.

Please tell me how to stop this stuff. Thank you.

I have noticed that in Firefox settings, the option “Override the colors specified” with the choice “Never” has disappeared.

This option was very useful to me for testing web accessibility. Indeed, by modifying the default colors and selecting “Override the colors specified” with the “Never” option, I was able to force Firefox to display the colors specified by the page author while still highlighting the default colors (those not specified by the author).

Could you please let me know why this setting was removed? Is there an alternative or another way to achieve the same behavior in Firefox today?

All of a sudden one day my bookmarks vanished. This is annoying, but what's worse is that I'm unable to add more. I click on the little star at the top to try to save a page, and nothing happens. I go into the sidebar, try to do it there, nothing happens. I click Command D (on a Mac) to try it through the shortcut and nothing happens. I've tried signing in under different log ins to see if that's the problem, but that doesn't work either. I'm totally confused. Any help is appreciated.

Hey, please fix this. After update to firefox 139 video player from youtube can't play. The setting video as low as possible, but still the same. I tried on other website work normally, I think the problem is the flash player, apparently not. Please fix this, ASAP.

Hi, Can I customize contrast control per site, for some sites I want it to be same as system, but for some I want to keep it as `off`.

When I use `same as system` setting then github changed file section doesn't render the changes with color. Refer screenshots.

Hello, there is a problem with Youtube video hosting in the FireFox browser. When trying to play a video, there is an endless attempt to play the video. Attempts to fix the problem, including using about:config, were unsuccessful. We kindly ask you to let us know how to solve this problem, given that the problem is related to FireFox, since everything works properly in Chromium-based browsers. Thank you in advance!

I'm currently on Firefox Nightly on desktop running the latest version. I wanted to know how to turn my Firefox Tools icons back from just having icons at the bottom to the list of icons with their names like before. I've attached both images, one from another computer running an older version of nightly which is what I want to return back to.

If there isn't a way to change it back, I would like to suggest this as an option to be able to easily turn back to a list type.

Firefox 139.0.4. version is also not good! Uploading videos to Youtube does not work with it! It does not move from zero percent! As I wrote earlier, the problem started with version 138.0.4. and is still ongoing! Uploading videos works with other browsers! I am waiting for the problem to be solved! If I wrote my letter in the wrong place, please forward it to the authorities! At the moment I could write a letter here, I can't really find a topic where this would be discussed! I have three email accounts thru (comcast, gmail and outlook). I have each of these email accounts bookmarked on my Firefox page. It used to be all I had to do was click on the bookmarked tab and the email account opened immediately. But, lately, each of these three accounts requires a sign-in before it will open my email account. One even requires a two-step process requiring I list a different email to receive a code to open the current email account I'm trying to open. This is a recent occurence and I wondered if it was something Firefox included in their more recent version of Firefox? If so, please tell me how to get rid of this sign-in process! I have many security processes to protect my accounts and do not need this additional required sign-in process! Please tell me how I can get rid of this requirement. It is a pain to have to re-sign-in each time I try to access my email which I do several times a day. Thank you for any help you can give me to fix this problem. Barbara Thomas

i had sidebar with a temp gpt chat, needed an url from my history, clicked ctrl-h and well my sidebar history opens, then i click back to the aichatbot and my chat is empty , i know it was temporary chat, but i did not expected to loose it by opening history.

Can i change the behavior ?

When I didn't know what I was doing, within Settings for Firefox desktop browser for Windows 10 where you can make associations for file types or applications, I began putting choices in that I felt made sense at the time. I don't think I've made the best choices and I would like to change that entire section with the heading Content Type to the defaults that would have appeared in the Action column. Is there a way I can return the defaults only for Content Type without resetting everything in the browser to the state it was first in before I began customizing some areas? Thanks.
