Common Firefox Issues Over Its History Browser crashes and freezes. Memory usage problems. Extension compatibility issues. Website rendering bugs. Security vulnerabilities that required updates. Performance slowdowns on older hardware. Compatibility problems after operating-system updates. Support ending for older operating systems. What the Message Means
If you're running:
macOS 10.14 Mojave macOS 10.13 High Sierra macOS 10.12 Sierra or older,.Firefox 115 is the last major Firefox version that supports macOS 10.12 (Sierra), 10.13 (High Sierra), and 10.14 (Mojave). Users on those macOS versions are moved to Firefox ESR (Extended Support Release). Mozilla plans to provide security updates for Firefox 115 ESR until at least the end of August 2026. After that, support may end unless Mozilla extends it again. Apple stopped providing security updates for macOS 10.14 in 2021, which is one reason Mozilla is ending support. To receive the newest Firefox features, Mozilla recommends upgrading to macOS 10.15 Catalina or newer.
So if you're using macOS 10.12, 10.13, or 10.14 and seeing:
"Firefox is no longer supported on macOS 10.14 and below."Firefox has had many bugs, crashes, performance issues, extension compatibility problems, security vulnerabilities, and website compatibility issues over its long history. ChatGPT and other online services have also experienced outages, slowdowns, login issues, and software bugs from time to time. No software product has a complete public list of every glitch ever discovered because there have been thousands over the years.Firefox, since its first release in 2004, has experienced thousands of reported bugs, including crashes, memory leaks, slow performance, security vulnerabilities, website rendering problems, and extension compatibility issues. Major changes—such as the transition to the Quantum engine in 2017 and the introduction of the WebExtensions system—fixed many problems but also created temporary compatibility issues for some users. Security researchers and Mozilla have continuously discovered and patched vulnerabilities over the years.ChatGPT and other online services have experienced service interruptions, heavy-load slowdowns, login failures, missing chat history incidents, API outages, and software bugs. Large cloud services operated by many companies occasionally suffer outages due to server failures, network problems, software deployment errors, configuration mistakes, or unusually high traffic. Helpful Tip!
Follow through. Sometimes, our volunteers would ask you for more information or to test out certain scenarios. The sooner you can do this, the sooner they would know how to fix it. macOS 10.15 Catalina and newer: you can run current Firefox releases. You'll still receive ESR security updates while Mozilla supports Firefox won't open. Firefox opens and then closes unexpectedly. Firefox freezes and stops responding. Firefox runs very slowly. Web pages take a long time to load. Some websites do not load at all. Tabs crash unexpectedly. Videos do not play properly. Audio does not work correctly. Extensions or add-ons stop working. Pages appear blank or partially loaded. Text, images, or graphics display incorrectly. Scrolling is slow or jerky. Firefox uses a lot of memory. Firefox shows error messages. Downloads fail. Login pages do not work correctly. Certain buttons or menus do not respond. Firefox repeatedly asks to be updated. Firefox reports that your version of macOS is no longer supported.

I am running the latest public stable release of Firefox, 151.0.1 (aarch64), and these last few weeks I've been getting prompted to grant my location over and over every time I do a Google search. In MacOS, I've granted Firefox location permission and I've repeatedly saved me giving google permission but it doesn't stop. This is happening on my MacBook Pro and Mac Studio.
Anyone else? Any tips? It's maddening. lol

A client of ours has recently raised an issue with with us stating where right-click, Paste does not work when adding text to a new LinkedIn post
After investigating, we have been able to reproduce the same behavior on our devices.
However, from our testing, we can right click to past on comments, messages and searches just fine
Troubleshooting already attempted:
Cleared Firefox cache Performed Firefox refresh Tested across multiple devices
We have confirmed this occurs on:
Clients device My work desktop My work laptop My personal desktop My Personal Macbook
This issue appears to have started after updating to Firefox version 151.0.0. I know this as i have tested this on my work laptop, appeared to work fine then stopped working after manually updating from 150.0.3 to 151.0.0.
Please let us know if there are any known issues, additional troubleshooting steps, or if further diagnostic information would help I have attached screenshots of the issue.
I have also tested this in the Google Chrome web browser and appears to be working correctly as also seen in the screenshots.

Yesterday Firefox started crashing tabs on load of a handful of websites that are seemingly random, like Twitter and a few shopping site tabs I had open. It wasn't after a system update or anything, it just started happening while Firefox was already open and those tabs had already been open and loaded. I've tried clearing my cache, site data, reinstalling Firefox, and it still does it. Upon further investigation, it seems to be something regarding libfontconfig, and mostly specific to users of openSUSE Tumbleweed.

Is anybody else having that problem? Seems to be yahoo search specific but not 100% sure.

Hello, Im using localized (Lithuanian) version of Firefox. Several updates back, Firefox started including russian and Polish in preferred languages by default. Personally i know how to remove those for myself. However, since im managing around 300 computers in a school. This starts to become an issue. In Lithuania we only have one official language. And when pages in a school start opening in foreign (russian) language this starts to be quite annoying. I would love to keep using Firefox but i need help.

I noticed that the World Clock widget includes Pakistan Standard Time (PKT) but does not provide an option for Indian Standard Time (IST). This is surprising given that India has one of the world's largest internet user bases and a significantly larger population than many countries currently represented.
India operates on a unique UTC+5:30 time zone used by over 1.4 billion people, making it one of the most widely used time zones globally. The absence of IST while neighbouring time zones are available feels like a major oversight and reduces the usefulness of the widget for Indian users and anyone who regularly works with Indian colleagues, clients, friends, or family.
Please add Indian Standard Time (IST) to the World Clock widget as a standard option. Its inclusion would greatly improve the widgets global coverage and usability.

Title says it. As of yesterday, my Firefox home page shortcuts (6?) are all gone. Restarted my Win 11 laptop a couple of times and no change. Can't even add any new ones. Settings allow for it but issue persists and browser is up-to-date. Shortcuts are one of the best things about using the Firefox browser...so very disappointing.
