How can I delete search history? I have a few misspelled searches and similar old stuff that pops up in the address bar when I type in a new search.

I have tried several things:

• Settings → Privacy & Security → Clear data → Selecting and marking everything but with no effect whatsoever
• Settings → Privacy & Security → History → Firefox will never remember history + Clear history as mentioned above
• Settings → Search → Search suggestions → everything disabled
• Settings → Search → Address bar → everything but Bookmarks have been disabled
• Deleted my old Firefox account and created a new so I can still sync between 2 computers

Example: Previously I used www.adobe.com but now I use www.adobe.dk. But everytime I enter adobe in the address bar, Firefox keeps suggesting (autofill) adobe.com instead adobe.dk.

Any suggestions how to clear/delete the browser/search history so I can get a fresh start?

Recently Mozilla had the brilliant idea of doing something they've done before...obscuring the URL/Address from the user. So now when you search the URL bar never shows the address your query is sent to because "usr 2 stoopid, need dum." Mocking aside how do you disable this trash. I just came back to Firefox being fed up with Mozilla pulling idiotic pointless weekly UI/Behavior rug pulls like this and...well some things never change.

One of the add-ons I use has been permanently disabled. However, the email that the developer received says "Users who have previously installed your add-on will be able to continue using it." Why can't I use it?

How does one get rid of things like this: ad.doubleclick.net

This is one of several plagues on my PC. Another is googleadservices.com. They appear, hijack searches, making it almost unusable, and I can not locate the app, program, or add on anywhere.

I accidentally downloaded a newer version of Firefox on my iMac but it is too old to run it. Now I have no way to download an older version that I use to have. Don’t have any suggestions? Thanks

I have to do a clean install of Windows, how do I save all my firefox bookmarks and passwords as well as Thunderbird addresses and any other info I might want to import back into Firefox and Thunderbird once I've installed windows again.

I've installed a couple of dark mode extensions since I can't use Dark Reader and NordPass at the same time due to a bug. I wanted to disable / uninstall them, but I can't find them anywhere when I go to about:addons and they're not showing up in the mini-menu on the toolbar.

Is there a way for me to still find them so that I can remove them?

I seem to have accidentally set up tab-groups, on desktop. Probably I fat-fingered a shortcut to group some tabs. This is a function I'll never intentionally use — since I'd rather not cut off my fat fingers, is there a way to permanently shut off tab-groups?

I have a ublacklist 8.10.2, at the page of the author there is a version 8.12.0 of ublacklist and still at download extension page of the the addon still showing 8.10.2! when it will be updated to 8.10.2?

so, update to 138.0.4 (64-bit) resulted in deletion of both my bookmark library AND all the backups? fantastic. over a decade of important bookmarks - gone. thanks guys, you're awesome.

EVERY TIME I CLOSE FF WHEN I REPOPEN IT, I END UP BACK AS IF I JUST INSTALLED IT. ALL MY BOOKMARKS ARE GONE, ALL MY EXTENSIONS ARE GONE, LIKE I JUST INSTALLED IT.

I'VE TRIED UNINSTALLING AND REINSTALLING AND IT STILL DOES IT.

Hello! I would like to change my searches from yahoo to google, it wasn´t like this before but apparently now if i want to search something i would get the answers from yahoo

Today I needed to reboot my browser, and did so they same way i've done countless times before, but when I restarted it only 10 of the 11 windows I had open before closing it were in the "Recently closed windows" section of "History".Please tell me there's some way to recover that window.I had a lot of tabs open in that window that I need back.Why would Firefox just discard it like this?Like I said, i've done this so many times without an issue.

Recently since Firefox crashes all my saved passwords have disappeared. They were restored ONE day but then lost again. Please assist me in retrieving these. Thank you
