I'm suddenly getting 30-50 popups a day from the above websites telling me that there are all sorts of trojans and viruses on my computer and telling me to "click here" to fix them. I WANT TO BLOCK THEM... as I'm quite sure they are scams. I just delete them, but they keep coming back How do I block them? Just got another one that says "Mozilla Firefox -- Trojan virus detected! Scan and delete with McAfee -- click here: via d14an00hubcc73a1lt40.quickupdevice.co.in". ...and I just got two more.

Please tell me how to stop this stuff. Thank you.

I would like to be able to download YouTube videos.

Is there a Firefox add-on that will allow me to download YouTube videos onto my MacMini?

I tried Video DownloadHelper and YouTube Video Downloader and didn't see any action.

Do I need to setup settings a certain way to make it work?

What are the steps to make it work?

Hi, I already know that Firefox, especially LibreWolf, is probably the best browser along with TOR and Brave about protecting against fingerprinting. However, after reading this paper https://arxiv.org/abs/2506.00719 about browser fingerprinting via WebAssembly I am wondering if and how Firefox, LibreWolf, can protect us against it. I already read this https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-protection-against-fingerprinting, but I could not find any reference to such protection. Thank you

iam using firefox 115.23 64Bit at my IMac an be not able to pass the security check when i try to login with my acount , i have checked all seetings an deleted all cooking an enabled : javascript at : about:config page an restarted firefox , but still i do not pass the security check : : chat.deepseek.com , to check if iam a human an mark the box an then continue it checking an then it asking again an again .. when i use another browsers there is. no problem an can login normal an comparing already the setting between those with chrome an brave an safari , but i can find the problem . when i chetGPT or Google gemini Ai sites there is no problem an i can acces normal ..

do you have any idear what settings i have to change at my firefox 115.23 because i want to use firefox as my default browser .. i can not update firefox to an higher realease because iam use High sierra 10.13.6 on my iMac .

The sidebar that shows the browsing history is a very convenient tool. However, now, after closing the window, the option is reset to the bookmarks bar. You have to select the browsing history again, which is very inconvenient. Is there any way to fix this?

I log into a secure web account, use user ID and password, go through 3 rd party verification and gain access.

When I logout it takes back to the sites Home page.

If I decide to login again by using the login icon the website immediately logs me backin with No requirement for user ID, Password or 3 rd party verification.

I am trying to determine is Firefox holding this information (User ID, Password and Third party verification code) and auto logging me in or have I not really logged out.

If I completely close Firefox this does not occur.

Hi, I just installed the latest update (I think it's 136.0.2). I guess I skipped some/several versions. Suddenly my main menu isn't workin anymore (clicking it with the mouse, that is) There is some overlay which I can't find out, how to remove. Even the Minimize/Maximize/Close buttons don't have any function. Luckily I can still access the menu via keyboard shortcuts. How can I remove that overlay bar ... or did I catch some malware ?

Unable to find list of blocked email addresses. Went to "settings" / "Security & Privacy". No luck. I have no problem in deleting addresses. UNBLOCKING is eluding me.
