I installed Firefox on a new laptop and synced it. The bookmarks all were transfered. But when I log into some websites they do not recognize the password, even when the passwords are correct and still work on my previous computer/Firefox brow’ for ‘Firefox.

Been having a problem with downloading for about 2 weeks now.

I am doing a course in Ethical Hacking, and have been told to download an .ova file from the internet. The download is 8.5 GB.

However, it has failed on, now, 8 occasions. The nearest it has come, is it has downloaded 5.1 GB.

Could anybody recommend another tool to download files better and quicker? This course is now almost halfway through and I still have not managed to download the software. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Could it possibly be the case that my anti-virus, Microsoft Defender, is not letting the download through? If so, how could I switch the anti-virus off, please?

My regular profile has deleted all saved history, tabs, bookmarks, etc. This happened before and seems related to having private browings open. and to an update in progress or recent.

Opend a private window. Then noticed regular FF wasn't opened. I opened the usual profile and all saved info is gone. Also, my stuff to be synced is way out of date so can't restore from there (I always had sync up to date). My "backup" can't be opened to restore.

Where do I find yesrterday's info? How do I restore my session, bookmarks, etc?

Last time, I tried to follow directions I found soemwhere but the instruction werent clear at all and had to restore from a disk image.

Why is there stsill the private window deleting regular window?

I'm participating in a discussion group based on Wordpress (learning.martinus.dk), and when I try to sign in (learning.martinus.dk/wp-login.php), I get the error.

My IP adr. is 80.208.65.123 and it is NOT suffering from poor reputation -- and no problem when I sign in from e.g. Chrome!

So what can I do so I can use my favorite browser here too!?  ;o)

The problem comes up for two days after Windows crashes with a blue screen. After POR Windows recovers itself and now works, but FireFox and Thunderbird chrashes immediately after start. Do you have an idea, what can I do? FireFox crash ID: bp-c4fe47cd-45dc-4024-8cc1-4a2220231204

Firefox seems to get stuck loading pages on the CSO Ireland website For example https://data.cso.ie/table/NIA13

It can be right intermittently but reoccurs again rapidly at random. Other browsers do not seem to have this issue.

i use Mozilla Fieefox many years now to sync everything from home, to mobile and work. Today at work, I received a new computer with fresh Windows 11 installation, bind to an MS Domain and the latest version of Firefox installed.

With a great dissapointment i realised that i couldn't connect with my mozilla account while in the previous pc with with windows 10, worked and synced flawlesly. While pressing "Sign In" from the 3-line menu on the top right corner nothing happens, sometimes it opens a window that keeps loading and some times the login page is loaded. After inserting the email and pressing the button it takes quite some time, a red ribbon notification appears "Proccessing..." and when next screen appears and the password is entered... (it takes also quite some time) the red ribbon notification appears "Working..." and after a little while "The operation was aborted".

I've uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, cleared profiles and created new ones, took advantage of all refresh tools mozilla offers.... nothing. In fact in all 3 pc's we received today the reaction was identical. On the other hand if i try to login to mozilla throught Chrome or Edge the login process works like a charm.

Any thoughts, ideas would be very much appreciated.. could it be a Policy Problem for Windows 11 for example?!?

I have been receiving the following error code 'PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR' on several website on my Firefox browser. Sometime, not all the time, I get the same error message while trying to use YouTube, while other times the site loads but says that I am offline and no internet connection. I have done all of the fixes that they say to use online and nothing seems to work. YouTube will occasionally work but none of the thumbnails will show up. Then there are other site that work fine.

Firefox V102.0.1 up to date. Right click to open link in new tab - new tab is displayed, link is shown in new address bar, nothing is displayed in the window. Thoughts?

Hello, I cannot get videos to go into full screen in FF as they used to before latest update. Tested on various sites. There are no controls shown on YouTube unless i either hide the taskbar or scroll down both of which is a nuisance. On some sites the task bar stays at the bottom which it didn't used to do. link text

So I just picked up a new laptop (ASUS Vivobook 16x), and everything is fresh on it. Additionally, this only affects some video content in Firefox, with Edge browser unaffected. In brief, what is happening is that within a couple hours of having the browser open, certain video content stops working, specifically Twitter/X videos just spin, YouTube previews stop working, and videos continually load. Netflix videos continue to work, but hover previews stop functioning. I even check the 'Stats for Nerds' on YT and it shows 0 KB network activity in Firefox.

I've tried every basic action I can think of:

• Turning off extensions (only use Ublock and Bitwarden)
• Browser Refresh (x3)
• Reverting from 120.1 to 120.0, and now 199.0.1
• Clearing the browser cache
• Reinstalling NVidia and Intel Drivers
• Running in Safe Mode

Only by doing a refresh or completely closing/opening the app gets videos to function again. This doesn't affect the old laptop or my desktop, which makes me think it's a rogue driver--but then why would Edge function without error over the same period of time?

Are there any settings to play with in the browser that can help diagnose?

we have a BigBlueButton Server setup for our company. Until recently we used a TURN-Server to tunnel the UDP connections thrugh the firewall.

Due to performance issues we wanted to try and let the clients connect directly to the udp ports 16000 - 32000

In Chrome this works as expected.

In Firefox however when we set "media.peerconnection.turn.disable" to "true" FF does not find any WebRTC candidates. We checked the logs and it says there:

"relay only option is set without any TURN server configured" "relay/proxy only option results in ICE TCP being disabled"

But thats NOT true! The option "media.peerconnection.ice.relay_only" is definetly set to "false"

Tested on FF 115.5.0 ESR and 120.0.1

Does anyone have an idea whats happening here? Why doesnt FF even try to make a direct connection?

UPDATE: I just ran a test on our dev system. If we configure BBB so that it does not offer any TURN-servers, FF uses a direct connection. Sadly that is not possible, since we need the TURN server for external connections. When there are TURN-Candidates but TURN is disabled via FF config no connection is established at all. This definetly semms like a bug in FF, since the browser should still be able to simply try and connect directly.

Sling TV audio is intermittent ONLY with Firefox. I've tested the site with Edge and Chrome and both work. I prefer to use Firefox for other reasons. Is there settings I can change to fix this? Please help as I see that others have posted this same problem.

Ok well i went to about config and tired off all the accessibility about the quick help bar and now my question is every time i try to go to google search and click on shopping no matter what item i am searching for I get a pop up at the the bottom i of the page every time i hit on shopping that say error update can not be added to this list or some thing like that. it was ok until the last update o of firefox and since i did that but am not sure why. doe not do it in Chrome just frefox. firefox is getting to the point b where i an thing king of leaving it. Every day. Videos won't play. sometimes one restart of firefox will fix it. sometimes multiple restarts are required before it'll work. The loading bar at the bottom of the video (on the seek bar) indicates the video is loading but it won't play. There have been times where I have disabled every single add-on and it would not work. Add-ons do not seem to be the cause. I have tried it in a private browser window with no joy. I have refreshed firefox, I have uninstalled and reinstalled it. I have tried disabling my antivirus. I have tested videos on websites in other browsers with no issue. The issue seems to be with the video player itself. overlays seem unaffected, I can use the seek bar and it shows the captions. I have tested different websites including Youtube, Vimeo and Steam. I tried many tens of times to get it working today to no avail. finally when I closed nearly all my tabs, the video worked (but I had also opened TOR and run avideo in that), I am not sure if this is the cause. If the cause is having multiple tabs open, this is an issue for me. I have a learning disability and likely ADHD and I have a set of tabs as my homepages so I don't forget things. If It's not the mutliple tabs, then what else can I do?

Deploying few  features for a system using firefox browser. 

In once scenario, on a user action , showing an alert box and redirecting page to new URL. On this , new page is loaded and after loading the page, the alert box disappeared This is working in my last system configuration, which is MozillaFirefox-78.9.0-112.54.1.x86_64

I am upgrading the system now I am using MozillaFirefox-115.3.1-150200.152.111.1.x86_64 In this configuration, the previous alert box is not removed when page is reloaded Any configuration/setting has to be done in firebox browser to automatically close the alert box?

In the latest Windows update Microsoft Edge has taken over my browser. Mozilla is the default browser but if I double click to open a page it automatically loads Edge. Is there anything I can do?
