I use Firefox sync between multiple devices, including a desktop and a laptop on Ubuntu Linux. This is done through a Firefox account. Both Ubuntu devices mentioned run Firefox 108.0 for Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

I'm signed in on this Firefox account on my laptop (from which I'm writing this message). I recently (some months ago) changed my primary e-mail, since I may lose access to the older e-mail account soon. Now, suddenly, on my Ubuntu Desktop I received a message that I need to sign in to sync. When I click on "sign in", it takes me to tab that lists my primary e-mail address and asks for my password. I enter the password that I know is correct (it is listed under my saved logins on this Ubuntu laptop and the e-mail listed is the primary e-mail address with which I am signed in on my laptop, writing this message; it is also listed on my Firefox account details as my primary e-mail address). I then get a red message on tab stating "Primary account e-mail required for sign in", despite the fact that it is with my primary e-mail that I am attempting to sign in! I've tried it multiple times, to no avail.

At least two other users have posted about related concerns this year: (see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1368875 and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1395902). However, nothing has been done to resolve this issue. I have followed all instructions provided for changing my primary e-mail address. This is definitely a fault on Mozilla's side and not mine. Please resolve this urgently, users risk losing vast amounts of data, through no fault of their own, if you fail to do so.

My computer was factory reset and I had to re-download firefox. My saved passwords were no longer available after signing back into firefox. Before the restart, I determined I should ensure I had the most recent pw to log back in after the reset. I was able to log back in, but all bookmarks and pw's are no longer available. I can see the previous session when I log into the account. How do I retrieve those lost bookmarks and pw's?

Hi I have a very big problem, I emailed several times but did not get an answer I activated a two-step password with the Microsoft Authenticate software, which unfortunately was deleted on my mobile phone. Now the problem is that I didn't save my backup code and now I can't enter my account. What is the solution, what should I do, please help me

Give me the firefox support email so I can talk to them directly for authentication

Since a few weeks ago I can't sign on to my Firefox account from Firefox. It works fine from Edge and Chrome on the same laptop so not a network, anti-virus, security issue.

The problem started after an upgrade of Firefox. When I try "Sign in for Sync" I just get a spinning icon and the "moz://a" logo at bottom left (see attachment). If I copy paste same URL into Chrome or Edge on the same laptop it works just fine. I'm writing this while signed in from Chrome.

I've tried private window, clean re-install (which isn't that clean since it seem to remember I had Firefox earlier....) and I think I'm about to give up on this.

I use a password manager and when I tried to sign in it told me the password was incorrect. Little bit concerning, I reset it. Things are going good. It asks me for my 2fa. I enter it. Incorrect. I try it again. Incorrect. Third time. Incorrect. I make sure both my devices' time is correct. They are. I try a separate device. Same issue. I go grab my USB with my backup codes. I put them in. Backup authentication code not found.

And according to the article I'm basically being told to go sodomize myself as Mozilla doesn't provide any support outside of community support.

Is there anything that can be done?

I had several devices connected to sync. I want my main desktop to be the "mothership" so to say, and all other devices mimic its settings. I'm terrified I'm going to hit sync on my new laptop and it'll just sync its empty bookmarks to all devices.

What do I have to do to ensure that everything copies my PC, instead of pushing their own changes?

Actually ideally what I want to happen is for all my devices to get their settings from the master computer, but any changes they make after that to be sent upstream to the mothership and vice versa

Hello! 2 weeks ago I re-installed Firefox and logged in as usual to my account to synchronize tabs, passwords e.t.c., but all data lost for unknown reason. Can you please help to restore it? Thanks!

Desktop browser. I have many devices, including some on VM. Mix of linux and windows.

I've noticed that when I whitelist a site for Enhanced Tracking Protection, I have to repeat the choice in every single device.

Is there a way to have this sync as part of firefox sync?

I contact you cause recently I had a serious problem with my Macbook and I had to erase the central unit in order to reinstall the system. I have another computer, so when I logged in I thought that I would recover all my data, cause I thought it was stored on your servers.

I have been using Firefox for years, so I have saved a lot of valuable information. That is why, I would like to get it back. I writing you hoping that you can help me to restore the Firefox that I have using for years. Is there any solution? Can you help me,please?

i have formatted my laptop and reinstalled Firefox and when i logged in with my Firefox account , it didn't restore my saved data automatically ( bookmarks , passwords....etc ) i tried to restore the the data manually , and i accidentally restored a different a different google account on my current Firefox account so now 1 - i can't remove the current data i have on the Firefox account 2 - i need to know if i can restore data that i have saved several months ago , coz i reinstalled Firefox before after formatting and i didn't have any problem in the past with that

HI, i deleted my firefox while cleaning up, had 2 downloaded for some reason. All of my toolbar and saved stuff is gone! I thought it had it synced but its going to my old email at a company i dont work for anymore. Any way to recover this? And thanks! Tom

Hi. I bought new pc, and i'm trying to set up mozilla with all my passwords and bookmarks, from old pc. But after i logged in, bookmarks and passwords dont appear in a browser. I had so much important stuff there that im now kinda scared. Thanks for any help in advance

Tell me how to reject the "New" Firefox View. I do not want Firefox as my browser on my mobile device. I want my "old" Firefox browser page!

I am not a "programmer" I am not tech savvy! at 79 years I don't want to waste my time trying answer questions that I don't even understand.

If I can't get the version I was using last week, I will be forced to discontinue using Firefox since I can't access the previous version of Firefox browser.

I wanted to use sync to transfer my tabs from my previous MacBook to my new MacBook. I reset the previous MacBook and now when I login to the new one, sync does not show any of my previous tabs.
