Apologies for not being able to follow instructions. I went to settings/search/default search engine and selected the one I want in the dropdown. But I don't see how to save this change and now it defaults to Bing.

I wanted to set keywords for search engines (in order to quickly change them for a single query). This cannot be done for search engines by default (why?), so I had to delete them and create a new one with the same link and my own keywords. But now I can't give them the same name back, firefox says that such a search engine already exists. In general, it doesn't matter to me which letter is there. The main purpose of my appeal is to draw attention to the fact that search engines cannot be edited by default, because it is quite inconvenient. I'm currently on Firefox Developer Edition version 136.0b6, and for some reason the search bar no longer displays the https:// header. Is it possible to turn this back on?

When I use the search engine it will not open and says "Hmm we're having trouble finding that site". My Bookmarks all work and open fine but i cannot search anything?

I wish to search fs paint numbers but keep getting this message cannot accsess gb.search.yahoo.com.

Hello, I recently found Ecosia search to be force-installed in firefox, and after much digging I found this to be because of a new collab between them and mozilla. However, I HATE when things gets forced upon you, its the only reason I have stuck with firefox this long.

I cant seem to find a way to remove this search option from my providers list, please instruct me on how to do this, cause if I cant, I will unfortunately have to drop firefox as my browser.

I have only two installed - Google and it's copy, with a modified search query so that there is no result from AI. But periodically I notice that something has installed some other search engines. Yesterday I got a search engine that plants trees and today Amazon. I delete them, but sometimes they (or some other) appear again. I can't imagine that it was me, who accidentally installed them in a hurry (when I need to quickly find something on Google).

I have selected Duck Duck Go as my default search engine in the settings for Firefox. But when I open my Firefox browser it shows the MS Bing homepage and NO drop down box for other search engines. How can I fix this? This is an initial installation of Firefox on a new Acer Aspire computer running Windows 11.

It is very annoying that you suddenly change the way most users got used to searching in Firefox. I am not the only one who complains about this particular and sudden change, after updating Firefox. Please reinstate the central search bar of Firefox asap. It makes one wonder what else you might think of changing with the next Firefox update! At least give the users of Firefox a previous notice of what changes come with every update. I am thinking very seriously of dropping Firefox and use Brave, if the problem is not solved asap. One of your staff mentioned that this problem would have been solved by 10th March. Till this very moment nothing has happened!! This is not a thread but a serious complaint. I have been using Firefox for a long long time. I would like to be able to use it provided I can use it the way I am used it.
