Why, for some reason, has Mozilla recently started treating incognito tabs as the default search engine? When I closed the main browser, left the incognito window open, and restarted it, all my open and grouped tabs (over 300) were deleted, and when I closed the incognito window, it asked me if I wanted to close all tabs as if I had any way to reopen them. This is the first time I’ve encountered this, because it wasn’t like that before. Why does Incognito behave like a regular tab, and why does this affect the main tabs, which aren’t and shouldn’t be linked to Incognito?

I just received this on my iMac: “You have an unsent crash report related to crashes being investigated, etc.” Following this, I ended up with page after page of information and options. This is dense and confusing and many options seem like they're asking me to provide information or choose certain things that may create serious and damaging situations. I don't like it and I don't even know if it's legitimate. You have no phone support. With all this confusion I am considering moving on to another browser. Just getting started using Mozilla features after many years absence. So much has changed! I have yet to decide what I need help with. All of it! So let me proceed on my own to figure this out and return for support when I feel I need it most, and more importantly, when I feel I feel I have the time and energy to devote to the learning curve required.

I've been reading about how Firefox is starting to include Google Gemini (along with other AI models like Claude and ChatGPT) into the browser sidebar and experiment with AI features.

To be honest, this feels a bit odd to me. Mozilla has always positioned itself as the independent, privacy-first champion of the open web, while Google is a data-driven tech giant. Isn't integrating Gemini a bit of a contradiction or a conflict of interest for Firefox's privacy mission?

I know Google pays Mozilla to be the default search engine, but does this AI integration mean Firefox is giving up ground on its core privacy values, or is there a different strategy at play here regarding user choice and local/on-device AI?

Would love to get the community's thoughts on how Mozilla balances this partnership without compromising its mission. Thanks!

Hi. Cannot seem to figure out how to remove 3 Mozilla Firefox notifications appearing vertically up the right side of my windows 11 LG gram laptop. They are covering up part of the mozilla dropdown window when I click on the 3 little lines in the upper right hand corner. Sorry, not very good at explaining this. Mozilla should actively oppose mandatory ID-based age verification systems that erode privacy and instead prioritize developing and advocating for technologies that enable users to remain anonymous online.
