Up until maybe mid last year, I had an RX580 8gb. I was able to game on my main screen and watch videos on my second screen with no issues. Then I upgraded to a 2080 and now a 3070. When I switched to the 2080 I ran DDU. But ever since switching to NVIDIA whenever I game and watch videos, mainly twitch, the framerate on my game and twitch tanks. Sometimes it even causes a timeout or causes the video to corrupt, then I have to close and reopen the tab. From what I can see in Task Manager, the video decode just starts dying. Sometimes if I pause my game and then pause the video the frame rates will return to normal. If I'm watching something on YouTube, I'll instead get audio issues where the sound on the video will lower if the sound on the game gets louder. I've tried reinstalling Firefox, but that didn't help. I've tried messing around with my internet settings, resetting my modem, that hasn't helped either. Drivers are all up to date. My specs are:

- Gigabyte 3070 oc 8 GB - 16 gb ram - ryzen 3600 - X570 Steel Legend (non-wifi) - Windows 11 pro

Recently, after I did a practically factory reset (using the restore from other device option once the system restart finished) and re-installing many apps, such as Firefox, despite my computer getting faster my Firefox now lags whenever I have Youtube running in the background (audio or picture-in-picture, both lag) at least during gaming. I have tried disabling GPU acceleration, with no luck, and have tried utilising picture-in-picture, which also failed. I'd appreciate any help on solving this.

im playing farmville 2 in zynga games online but it plays very slow ans keeps freezing. ive done what was recommened but there is no change to the game, i was wondering if you could help by telling me if there is anything i need to do in the browser to get this game working better

Hi, I notice today that Firefox takes a really long time (~30s) to start. The main Firefox frame opens, totally empty, no tabs, nothing... and ~30s after, it starts.

I also notice that it is linked whith the VPN. When the VPN is active : long time, when the VPN is paused, normal start.

I have two computers, same reaction ! The first computer is used every day, so I have the problem on this one since the last update (I suppose).

The second computer has not been used for a week. I started the second computer today , I checked the VPN is active, I notice the first use of Firefox (which was still v148...) was as fast as usual, then Firefox automatically updets to 149.. and restart, and then, same behavior : long time as start.

I tried to go back to version 148, without any better results.

Can you help me please?

Two computer are in W11 up to date, and the VPN is NorthVPN up to date

Lately I can not click all of my browser tabs, only some of them unless I do not have the browser maximized on the screen. If I make is smaller then I can click all of the tabs. Since the recent Firefox update I can't find a hardware acceleration setting to toggle off to see if it helps.

I am on arch linux, Wayland KDE Plasma. KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.24.0 Qt Version: 6.10.2 Kernel Version: 6.19.9-arch1-1 (64-bit) I then ran firefox (Both Flatpak and Pacman fail ), and no matter what (MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND on or off) when in pointer lock, the high polling rate mouse was significantly slower than the lower polling rate touchpad. Places where I've observed this behaviour:

When these videos are in view and playing, they're decoded using the CPU and the browsers frame rate tanks (heavy/laggy scrolling when scrolling with mouse scroll wheel), I have a Geforce 3070 which includes support for AV1 decoding so I'm not sure what's happening.

AV1 videos found on Youtube like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foqVJq-XPTg are fully hardware accelerated by the GPU (Stats for nerds confirms it's playing an AV1 copy) and doesn't exhibit any performance issue.

GPU usage is monitored by Task Manager in Windows 10. For the problematic videos the GPU Decoding is at 0% with a workload being spread across many of the CPU cores. For the non-problematic 4K video the GPU Decoding is around 60-70% and no workload is distributed across multiple CPU cores.

When I launch Firefox, it uses well under 1GB in memory, but then it starts to increase that amount quickly in just a few minutes and gets up to 50+GB, causing error messages to pop up repeatedly until it uses all resources and locks up my computer. I have updated my MAC OS and the Firefox app, uninstalled the Firefox App and still have the same problem.

For those of us that do want to use AI for work performance enhancement purposes, I have a question and also a comment for the Development Team. Here is the scenario real quick. I use Mozilla Firefox as my trusted browser today and that means that I open other AI systems such as ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, etc. within this browser and could at times be running multiple browser sessions at the same time. My question is, will the Mozilla new AI Features attempt to try and compete with my other chat sessions for data capture, response and participation if I keep portions or the whole system enabled? The last thing I need is Mozilla AI as the selected browser now interfering with my other work flow processes in anyway including just listening along which would significantly increase the amount of resources used to run the Mozilla AI in parallel with other AI systems on my computer. I have heavy work loads at times and am already experiencing browser delays in processing data (even when setting up separate project chats for specific tasks) because of too many added features within all of the AI systems like historical chat session quick links on the right side of the screen. That's a ton of data that ends up getting stored/cached, referenced and processed with each command executed. I don't mind using Mozilla AI within the browser for general personal surfing and Q&A purposes but I can see this potentially becoming a big issue for us creators working with large image data processing tasks in other AI systems via the Mozilla browser. I will unfortunately be turning all of these Mozilla AI features off to start because I am not sure there really is a clear separation path for resource allocations within the browser now keeping my experience fast and efficient. Most likely this will force me into using a different browser product for personal vs business until things are much clearer. Hoping to learn a little bit here and see that things like this are being taken into consideration, even if it is a product roadmap enhancement for release sometime in the near future. I started noticing my browser was running rough, and I tracked it down to Youtube, but only when I have a video in fullscreen. It doesn't appear to be affected by the codec, av0/avc/vp09 all suffer from it.

Incognito mode (no extensions) is still affected by it, but a separate profile + troubleshoot mode are not. My RTX 5080 is showing about 2% usage when playing a video, 0% at idle.

How do I nail down what's causing this?

I'm elderly,so bear with me. Firefox very often slips off the screen or simply vanishes.Often it disappears to a thin,gray line at the bottom. Can't open a document and have Firefox available,too. I'm 84....are my fingers worn out? Dave P.

I have a problem: when I open any Instagram reels link like from google , facebook , forum , etc https://www.instagram.com/reels/****/ the browser freezes. After a bit, a “stop” message shows up. When I click it, it opens a blank page like the one in the screenshots, and the tab completely freezes — I can’t go back, forward, or even close it. Even if I close the browser, it keeps running in the background. There are no extensions enabled (I’m using troubleshoot mode). windows 10 64
