My laptop crashed last night

I had to reboot windows. I had a lot of passwords saved on my firefox browser How can i recover these passwords? I need them to run software for college

Hi, I have a firefox account and I want to login to submit an extension. I am always asked to "Enable two-step authentication", and there is no way to escape it. If I 'cancel setup', the login will be stopped. I do not want to enable that and I do not want to be forced to install any app and I do not want to install "authy desktop" .

I have used that account before, and have submitted some extensions already. I do not know why I have to use two-step authentication.

How could I login then?

im getting unknown issuer on my thin-clients with a FF ESR 45.9.0. This FF is tied to the OS (Ubuntu 16.04) and the OS is the most recent compatible version for our version of the thin-clients. So yeah its super old and I'm not able to update any of this. There is no security.enterprise_roots.enabled option available. What would be the best way to solve this issue for ~400 clients. Hello, ever since I upgraded to version 112 I've noticed that Firefox is using up a lot of my ram. I currently have 32 GB installed, Firefox is using almost all of it making other Programs almost unusable. Because of this I now have to restart Firefox, but this is only a temporary fix

In task manager it shows that its only using ~1.6 GB (which is normal) but overall usage is at 90%, in process explorer it shows that Firefox is taking up 30 GB

To troubleshoot I've looked at both about:performance and about:memory but nothing looks out of the ordinary, they just show a normal usage. Clicking on "minimize memory usage" didn't do anything. Restarting my computer also didn't help

Good evening, I've some problem with firefox sometime it don't start (if I restart Ububtu 22 kernel 6.0.0 in use firefox start) and some times when I try to save an image it crash an close. Here below you can find the crash code error. Thanks a lot for the support

I run a simple website. gcessa.org. Until recently I was able to import a .doc or .docx document converted to a text document into the site and it loaded like one would expect. Lately the characters ', ", and - have been resolving as a �. There might be others I'm not aware of. Which means the characters are not found in the codex. What do I need to do to resolve this issue. I believe it started after one of the last two updates. I don't see this happening in edge or chrome.

My Firefox crashes almost constantly, up to several times every couple minutes. I recently wiped my entire computer and reinstalled Windows (to fix other problems, among this one) but the issue is still happening. I have a list of a couple dozen crash logs that I can show, and I have tried reading through them and debugging to no avail. The crashes also still persist in Troubleshoot mode. Hi lovely People, I try to setup 2FA on accounts.firefox.com with Authy on Android. In Step 1 the code generated from Authy is accepted.

But then, in step 3, when I try to paste in the just in step 2 provided backup activation code, it tells me it's wrong. Am I stupid? I just copied that key from step 2 ... I tried it many times now. Checked if my clipboard is working as expected, tried to delete the spaces in between... I used FF Standard and FF Developer Edition. My Authy is working elsewhere.

Any help? I searched the Forum, found some relating questions, but they never get answered. No one having the same issue?

For the love of God, can someone explain who thought it was a good idea to remove the option to sort bookmarks menus by name? Please do not suggest users to open the All bookmarks and using the View > Sort option because it's not permanent, such useless option only applies temporarily while that window is open.

What version must I downgrade to in order to recover the bookmarks sort by name? Because of course the option won't be recovered. Kindly explain who, and why did you decide it was very useful for the end user to delete this option.

i used jeffersonscher to get all my tabs back from by old session but i restarted my pc and the session store jsonlz4 file got changed with a new one that didn't have all the tabs i previously had on it. When i did the restoring my jsonlz4 file was at 1:08am but when i accidentally restarted my pc it now is saying 2:31am and all the tabs that i have restored so far are on it but not the ones i haven't restored are not.

So is there a way to be able to get that old jsonlz4 file back so that i can restore all the tabs that i used to have.

Please help.

A lot of the images appear broken, see the images attached(left is FireFox, right is Chrome) Only happens with Mozilla browsers, nighty, beta, regular, I've tried them all Reinstalled countless times Hope that someone will help me with this

Minor issue but some help would still be much appreciated here.

On some sites, when I click the login field, Firefox suggests a list of possible identifiers. Among the suggestions there is one that is the true identifier I need to use the others are mis-typos that I probably have typed in error some time in the past.

I want to clean-up that list to keep just the true identifier. How do I do that ?

When I go to Settings > Passwords I only see the true login identifier. The other items in the list of suggestions do not appear. So it seems that it is not there that I must do the cleaning-up …

Facebook works ok 'till I go to home page and it starts to load and stories or what ever they are called go blank and it continues to reload items over and over. Cleared cache and tried all other browsers and they work ok..

I've been trying to copy an email address someone emailed me. (I use Microsoft Outlook.)

However, when I try to select the email address, Outlook seems to know I've selected it and performs some action, taking me to a different page. VERY ANNOYING!

Sites shouldn't be able to know when you're selecting text - that has nothing to do with them! How do I disable this?

Hi, I would like to join the chorus and say that the unified extensions button really needs to be fixed somehow. I can't stand it -- it slows down my workflow and seems like "change for change's sake".

But if you guys are serious that it can't be removed for some reason, then at least PLEASE make the unified extensions thing something that can be expanded horizontally along the toolbar (instead of just being a dropdown list) with preferred / most used extension icons visible in it, so that instead of

>clicking the unified extensions thing >scrolling down to find my extension >right clicking on the extension >choosing the option I want

It will just be

>click on the extension icon in the special unified extension section of the toolbar >the options for the extension pop up and I can choose one JUST LIKE THE OLD WAY THAT WAS EFFICIENT

I wouldn't even be opposed to an entire Extensions Toolbar with super security or whatever built into it. As long as the icons are still conveniently located and accessible!

I have a bunch of extensions that I don't need to interact with regularly, like my adblocker, https everywhere, or the thing to make webpages appear in dark mode. But every time I click the unified extensions thing they're right there at the top of the list. My screenshot extension however (for example), which I use constantly, is somewhere hidden near the bottom of the list, so I'm constantly scrolling down awkwardly looking for it. It used to be one button click to take a screenshot, now it's like five or six clicks and takes around 20+ seconds every time. IT'S VERY BAD USABILITY DESIGN. It might "feel" cleaner or more organized to put everything in a list, but it's not as functional for the end user (in my opinion).

Please reconsider your design of this thing and investigate the possibility of keeping certain extensions visible on the toolbar somehow to remain easily accessible to the user. Hopefully I've been able to explain my concerns to you. Anyway, I still love Firefox on the desktop, but if you guys can fix this that would be great.

My credit union (my only checking/savings account) blocks one page even though I have the pup-up setting set to "always allow." How can I correct this?
