[edit] I was using my phone to post this question and inadvertently posted it to the android forum. This is a DESKTOP question.

I'm trying to sync my tab groups across my desktop/laptop. I have sync enabled through the settings and I've checked every box, but I don't seem to see an option for syncing tab groups specifically. It syncs all of my bookmarks and active tabs, but the groups seem to be unique to each device. Is this feature available? I might be looking in the wrong spot so if anyone has any insight that would be great! Cheers

Hi for some time now i have been having issues connecting to my website.. it loads every other site but when i try and load mine on firefox it comes up with no internet connection but my site works on other browsers.. anyone have any ideas on a fix for this ?

Hello I have reinstalled my firefox on a new reinstall of windows 10 as my older version 10 crashed and went to the wall. however I have all my tabs and fafourites up and running but when i try and download my paid version of Nord VPN firefox comes back and says its not secure and wont load the website ? this has been working for me in the past. any advise would be greatfully accepted. thank you.

Are you aware if there is any reason why firefox seems not to work with https://mycambridge.sso.cambridge.org/ in combination with the google authenticator app. I'd be most grateful for advice, as a longtime firefox devotee, who has to remember to use an alternative browser for this particular combination. Increasing "network.http.connection-timeout" setting in Firefox to a big number – say, '9000', does not change the time period after which "The connection has timed out" message appears (the default value is '90'). Changing it to '0' makes this message appear even faster than when using the default value.

Please let me how I can increase timeout to a big number.

why does firefox blocks incoming http conection to localhost:8080 when I try to obtain a google oauth2 token using oauth2.py ?. The Google server returns the token via http to loaclhost:8080 and the port is blocked by firefox.

Hello! I wanted to see if there was a way to have sent tabs be automatically opened on Firefox mobile. Searching "Automatically open sent tabs on Firefox mobile" gives help guides on syncing and not how to automatically open links sent through the feature.

Instead of having to open any number of notifications I would much prefer the tabs automatically populating the tabs browser. I currently send from PC/iOS-mobile to Android-mobile but will be switching to a second iOS-mobile device soon.

I lost a bookmark folder in my main computer. I did a sync and it did not appear. I opened an other older computer and it was still there. I did a sync and expected it to then show up in my main computer, it did not. I went back to the old one, there it had now disappeared. The help files say go to bookmarks, then to manage bookmarks, except I don't have "manage bookmarks", just a list of some recent bookmarks. When I do a " bookmark search" for something which was in the folder, it finds it, so the folder is still somewhere. How do I get it back? Why did sync fail and did not add it from the old computer?

I just update firefox but all my none of my bookmarks loaded. I share my computer with my husband. He has a different account on this same computer and his bookmarks are showing up on my side, but mine are nowhere to be found. Previously we have had separate bookmark lists and all was fine. I don't know where my bookmarks went.

How do I get them back and put on "my side" and still have my husband's on his side?

firefox keeps knocking me out of certain web sites such as discovery netflix ,telling me to update to the latest version then restart it but no luck so far please help me ,as i still getting payed for the webpages but still can not watch because i need latestversion of firefox please help.

I've had this issue for years, but it was always something I could live with. The Issue would only appear once every week or so. However, recently the issue seems basically happen on a daily basis.

After Firefox has been running for some time and there's a few other tabs open, The YouTube UI will periodically become completely unresponsive.

Just moving the cursor on top of Youtube will cause 100% + CPU in the Firefox task manager and the page is entirely unresponsive during that time (except video playback)...

This issue has persisted through reinstalls, new profiles and is also present without extensions.

Hello Team My name is Sergii and Im C# Automation engineer and working with desktop automation for Firefox (latest version, 139.0.4). I have noticed interesting issue when for some VDI's (Windows Server 2019 Standart, OS Build 17763.7009) Firefox doesn't have Desktop Automation ID, while for my Windows 10 and Windows 11 machines everything is visible (Please checks screenshots). Do you know how to fix this? I have tried to install browser through the same Firefox Installer.exe file but looks like server detecting another OS version and downloading some another file... Thanks!

I updated Firefox and all my plugins except for Grammarly were deleted, I saw another post talking about going into profile folder but I couldn't find anything about that

updated my wife's computer firefox to 115.24.0 (esr) and the profile data is lost (bookmarks, addons...).

Went to about:profile and it says PROFILE IN USE: default esr which is the 5th out of six profiles, top to bottom. It should tell me the creation date for each profile.

The 6th in line says "profile: default -release" Is the last in line the NEWEST profile? Should I set that one to be active ( ie the "default profile)?

This usage of the word DEFAULT in multiple meanings is confusing The display should number each profile and tell the user which is the oldest to newest.

This is acting like it is a new version, not a mere update - the user should be warned before he is allowed to perform that process, and given links to what will need to be done to retrieve the previous Profile.

Sending this using Safari because Firefox is totally messed up. Firefox 115.24.0esr (64-bit) OSX 10.13.6 High Sierra 2011 Mac Power Book (MPB) with 16 GB RAM. Verizon DSL line, download speed tests from 10-14 Gb/sec but Latency is always 400-900+ msec. No way to measure Jitter with speedtests that will run on my older system, or Bufferbloat now that DSLreports has gone dark.

I want a tool that will allow me to see all the attempts to connect, and packets/traffic, to see it its my old computer going bad, Firefox, the wireless or wired connection to the DSL modem/router, or the DLS modem/router itself, such as a problem with reaching the Domain Name Server (DNS) etc.

I can access the DSL modem/router in the browser, but there isn't much documentation. Its made by Actiontec but customized firmware for Verizon.

The problem persists whether I am using wifi or an Ethernet cable.

My wifes 2010 MBP computer with 8GB RAM using about 6.4GB, running High Sierra and Firefox 115.24.0 (esr) seems not to have the problem at all.

Firefox will show something in the lower left corner, "connecting to..." or "loading..." etc. It can stall with either status.

Search engines would be StartPage or DuckDuckgo. With DDgo, sometimes it just spins forever, but if I click on the URL bar, it drops down another line with the same URL and "--Visit" appended. Sometimes that will load, but seems random.

Some URLs / links open in a few seconds, some spin forever.

I first called Verizon Tech support on May22 about problems (see full exchange of repeated calls & new trouble tickets below). I think, IIRC, this happens to be shortly after I upgraded my Firefox version. They have admitted to PINGs not returning, packet loss, no excuse for the Latency.

I do have a lot of pages/tabs open; Activity Monitor says my memory use is about 14GB, but the Memory Pressure stays low in the green. I also run Thunderbird, TextEdit, maybe Adobe Reader and Excel. But even when I close everything else, the non-loading issue persists. When I shut down Firefox, the memory pressure can go into the red and take a very long time (so I always shut down all other apps first). A recent shutdown stalled & I ended up losing many open pages/tabs, but even the slimmed down load has the same problem.

I have shut off the AddOn NoScript, but the problem persists.

THUR 22MAY25 call back from networking guy. they raised the speed to 13.4 but latency still 28, he says should be 15 max. Asked him to optimize by reducing download speed. will call back later or tomorrow.

I understand that Firefox relies on both intermediate and root CA certificates for verifying add-on signatures. There was a recent incident where a root certificate expired on March 14, 2025, as noted in the following article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/root-certificate-expiration

Could you please let me know the latest validity period (expiration date) of the root and intermediate certificates currently used for add-on signature verification in the latest version of Firefox (139.0.4)? I understand the certificates involved may vary depending on the add-on, but I would like to confirm this specifically for the following add-on:
