This is NOT a question. I just want to share this info to others.

Yesterday, I was tearing my hair because the Photos app in my Windows 11 just kept on crashing when I opened any image file (jpg, png, etc). "Crashing" means the window was partially displayed on the screen but not the content, then two or three seconds later, it just closed itself!

Then by pure chance, I had to exit Firefox. After that, Photos app was working just fine. I was thinking "what?" Then I reopened Firefox. Photos app crashed on opening. So I was 100% sure that for some reason, running Firefox would crash Photos app.

So I think I had to share this information to the community. Here I am.

How can I prevent devtools from altering viewport size? Even if not visible it has a major impact when testing CSS especially if working with relative units.

For example I'm using vh units with devtools open and their value is reduced because devtools alter the viewport's height. Is there a setting or flag to prevent this?

I am a user of Firefox and I insist on using Firefox despite there is so much monopoly competition of Firefox that they try to overrun Firefox services by forcing people to use another web browser than Firefox. My Firefox starts crashing continuously despite I deleted and re-installed it but the problem continues. I wonder if this is only my problem or a general issue.

Hi! One of my Firefox profiles is listed as "in use," but it's not -- I can't force close or reopen it. (This is all on my Mac laptop.) I tried to create a second profile and sync that frozen profile's bookmarks and history over, but that didn't work. I've restarted my main Firefox browser several times now, and it keeps giving me the same message. This all seemed to start after Firefox unexpectedly quit sometime overnight, so I'm not sure if a software update that forced Firefox to quit maybe caused this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am a senior (87) male and not too tech savvy. A friend has weaned me off of Google Chrome default browser onto Firefox. I need to know how to sync contacts, passwords and bookmarks between each device. Thank you in advance for any "simple" help.

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place to log this issue or not, but I just started experiencing an issue with a website I use a lot for work, teamwork.com. When I click the bookmark to my organization's subdomain, it starts to go to the page as usual but then logs me out of the site automatically. On the logout page, it gives me the option to login again, but then it does the same thing and logs me out. I've tried it on other browsers and don't have that issue. I've never had this issue before, and prefer using Firefox over other browsers so I wanted to see if there was a fix. Thanks for your help!

I’ve been running a drone website and have noticed some performance issues when browsing through various e-commerce platforms or research pages for drone products, especially when searching for a "decent drone with a camera decent drone with a camera." Whenever I open multiple tabs for comparison (e.g., camera specs, user reviews, and prices), the Firefox browser starts to lag significantly, and at times, crashes.

I’m currently running Firefox version [insert version] on [insert OS]. The issue becomes particularly pronounced when loading media-heavy content, such as videos or interactive 3D drone previews.

Has anyone else encountered similar issues? Any tips on optimizing Firefox performance when browsing pages with large amounts of multimedia content?

I can log in to the New York Times using Safari without issue, no presentation of a prove-you're-human test, just a quick and easy login. But using Firefox I am always first presented with a prove-you're-human test, then a rejection of a following login attempt with explanation that I am suspected of being a robot. I've tried all the standard moves to avoid this problem, using troubleshooting mode, clearing caches, using minimal security settings--nothing changes the situation.

Any ideas of what might be causing this problem?

I recently used the "Remove All Passwords" option on my MacBook, expecting it to delete all saved passwords across my devices. However, it only deleted the passwords stored locally on my Mac and did not remove those that are synced across my account. After allowing time for syncing, I noticed that all my saved passwords still appear on my Windows device within my browser.

How can I completely remove all saved passwords across all synced devices to ensure they are deleted everywhere?

Ich hatte alle Daten wie Lesezeichen, gespeicherte Passwörter und Verläufe in meinem Firefox-Profil gesichert, aber nach der Passwortänderung ist alles verschwunden.

I don't know enough about how all of this works to explain it further but it seems like this is exactly the type of thing Firefox should be preventing. Why is HP linking some type of chromium browser to Firefox, doing this in the registry to make it even more difficult to remove, and managing my Firefox browser. How do I safely remove everything related to HP from Firefox and its registry entries.

I have tried the suggestion to change private browser mode but this doesn't not help at all. Nothing is restored to normal functionality for non private browsing. I also reinstalled Firefox with no resolution. What else can I do?

I have an Ancestry account. When I go to a person that has hints and click on hints, I get a message that says Something went wrong try later. I contacted Ancestry about this, and their tech said it was through Mozilla, not them. I know a new company took over Ancestry and that's about when it started. If i switch to Edge, it works fine, so I am confused on where or who is having the connectivity problem. I love Mozilla and hate switching back and forth. Can you please advise me about this?
