Every time I launch Firefox it creates 12-13 instances of Firefox along with one each for Chrome and Console.

I don't need that many instances. Typically I have no more than 3-4 tabs open.

Is there a Configuration setting that I can change to reduce the number of instances to 5 and greatly reduce the amount of time it takes to launch.

I am running Windows 10 Pro V21H2 at current update level. I have a custom made tower with 512GB SSD and a Core2 Duo processing running at 2.93 GHz with 8 GB Ram. Firefox is V17.0.1.

In the security part of my Firefox account there is a password that is different from my account login password. I don't know it and don't remember entering it. Apparently it is very important if I have to reset my information. How can I fix this without loosing any data? Thank You

Hi! For some reason accounts.firefox.com is not displaying in english on my desktop, but in Norwegian, and specifically nynorsk to make things even weirder. On another PC it's displaying in english as I want it to be. My Firefox is set to english (although apparently has Norwegian (bokmål) installed which I can't remove cause the remove button is grayed out...), and my preferred languages for displaying pages are set to english only.

What would cause FF to suddenly start running upwards of 35 processes with only a single tab open? It's hogging a tremendous amount of RAM when this happens and has rendered itself basically unusable. I normally only have 2-4 active extensions as well, but I've eliminated those now to no avail.

About every month or so Firefox decides to delete my login info and i have to relog everywhere again.

While this is not a critical issue, its a very annoying one.

My cookie settings are on standard, and the "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" square is unticked. I use Dashlane for my passwords but ive used it for a long time before on mozilla and other browsers and i've never had issues with it.

Every time I work on the local environment a lot of my extensions go crazy on localhost, throwing enormous amount of errors. This makes console barely readable. Is there a way to disable messages thrown by extensions in the developer tools of Firefox Developer Edition?

Trying to bookmark a pdf, it's on the same location across my devices, but my devices have different usernames, so I added "%userprofile%" to the filepath so that it opens on any device. The issue is that when I enter this into the Bookmark URL bar, it automatically sticks "25" next to the % characters, which makes the bookmark unusable.

"C:\Users\%userprofile%\Documents\example.pdf" automatically becomes "file:///C:/Users/%25userprofile%25/Documents/example.pdf"

Also, as I just discovered now when I pasted this URL into this post, a second "25" is inserted, becoming: "file:///C:/Users/%2525userprofile%2525/Documents/example.pdf"

Problem with firefox, In order to load the next web site I have to close firefox and load it again. I have removed all apps and add on's and ran every malware, virus finder that i can find, help, very annoying

for some reason firefox decided it is fun to mess around with my browser and decided to prevent me from making saved logins,this is so frustrating why does firefox like to do this.

How can I search my History for websites I visited using Firefox b/t Feb. 8-16, 2022 (older than 6 months)? I'm trying desperately to retrace my steps on these days to resolve an issue at work.

Just before protection against ads expired, the icon's "X" went black. Now that I've renewed, it has not changed the "X" on the shield to white indicating renewal.

Firefox desktop is not showing bold. The mobile app works though. I do have the setting allowing sites to choose their own fonts enabled. The site in particular is a WordPress.org site and I am not going to go through each instance of and change it to a minimum of 800 weight. Any news on an update with regards to this problem?
