The Firefox Getting Started button is taking up room on my browser. How do I make it go away?

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

After running firefox a long time, i close it. But it appeared that it was still opened using a large part of memory.

I kill firefox, then reopen it, and 4 windows open with blank pages on the website infomoneyservice.com.

It appears these pages were opened before, but in an hidden way, and they don't show in history.

It happened to me 5 or 6 times since 1 week before i wa able to reproduce some symptoms in a systematic way.

I think this problem is also related to some interceptions of google results.

installed ff4b2 on win2000, ff3.6.8 installed already. created new folder for ff4b2. try to start ff4b2 both in regular mode and safe mode. in both cases get an error "The entry point RtlCaptureContent could not be located in the dynamic library KERNEL32.dll

Crash ID(s)

checked in ff3.6.8, no crash ID's are recorded.

This printing problem started happening when I installed and started using Firefox instead of Explorer

Tabs gone wild! Choice of how tabs open is removed and function of having tabs open only at end of all tabs is gone. Instead, tabs now open next to similar or same site, so they can be jumping all over the place and instead of finding them in the order you opened them, you have to hunt around to see which site it is sitting by instead. I can easily remember the order in which I opened them, not so easy to remember the site each one may be associated with, especially if they were opened in the order of an article and therefore in the order I wanted to read them.

Firefox will not print to my HP PSC750 inkjet printer but prints with no problem to the monochrome Brother HL-5240. Other browsers print to both printers with no problem. I must print out filled-in webforms and must use the inkjet printer for that. However, Firefox presents me with a dialog box that says "An unknown error has occurred while printing", even when nothing at all has even started to print out.

When I next try to print the same screen content to the monochrome laser printer, the entire contents of the form showing on the web page will print out as a single block of text - all run together and utterly unintelligible.

How can I make Firefox print normally and legibly to my HP inkjet printer, the same as other browsers?

My reply: Thanks but does not solve problem. 873 is to change to another country (language) homepage. I have the UK homepage address in the web page location bar at top of page, i.e. http://www.google.co.jp/firefox?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official but the page is showing Japanese text.

my comp screen has changed. i no longer have a bookmark, history or tools spot on the screen. it was there on thursday. i don't know how to get to my bookmarked sites like i did before. i understand that i can begin to type them in, but i don't know what all i had saved. was mozilla upgraded & did it remove those buttons?

I'm looking to migrate from IE8 to FF3.6 but dearly miss the following scenario: Highlight a text the right click on it and chose from different search providers ie amazon, ebay, google.

For the moment, I only have Search Google for and it doesn't work in forms.

Cannot download GPS almanac files (current.alm) from NAVCEN. response from NAVCEN says:Greetings,

will not allow certain images - for example, cannot see the images I need to copy on Craigslist in order for CL to approve my post.

How can I retrieve my history from two weeks ago? It's been deleted and I desperately need it to prove that I was on the computer (facebook) at a certain time. HELP!!!!
