Sometimes when I go to type something in the search bar, firefox will auto-predict what I'm going to type and suggest websites that I don't want just randomly popping up. Even though I don't have bookmarks on these sites, and they're not in my browser history, and I've cleared cookies and data, this still happens. I don't know what the problem could be here. I'm on ios, latest version of Firefox (this has been an issue for a minute). What should I check/do?

When i want to stream music from "app.idagio.com" in Firefox in lossless quality it says, that Firefox does not support flac lossless streaming. On a PC with Linux, the Idagio-App cannot be used. I tried Chromium, and that works, so why not in Firefox?

I have seriously messed up with firefox settings over the years in order to safeguard my privacy, against all the attempts by firefox to infringe it. (Admitteddly, not as much as google chrome, safari and, got forbid, m$ edge). One of these fixes was to link the file/database content-prefs.sqlite (found in my firefox profile dir) to /dev/null. It was this that caused a problem with the file browser not showing. WOW!

Once I deleted said file (linking to /dev/null). Firefox started and all was OK wrt the file brower.

That caused me to create a script to be run before and after firefox launch, searching for all these privacy-infringing databases in my profile dir and erasing them.

The steps to this are: 1) edit /usr/share/applications/org.mozilla.firefox.desktop and replace all Exec=firefox entries with Exec=/usr/local/bin/firefox-custom.sh 2) create a new file /usr/local/bin/firefox-custom.sh with this content

3) create a ~/bin/firefox-custom.sh file with this content

lanuching firefox now either from a desktop file (e.g. via Plank launcher) or from the command line: gio launch /usr/share/applications/org.mozilla.firefox.desktop runs the above script before and after firefox running.

Disclaimer: the above script erases files in your profile directory, use at your own risk. Perpahs make a backup copy of your profile dir before.

I have notebook no issues, My Desktop however I get tabs crashing with firefox, Apache Open Office but not with Doc files in open office and not with chrome and Edge they run without any issues. My computer is awsome it seems to me this version of firefox is either being pushed out or its not coping with large loads. I removed all of my 32gb ram tonight just to test the ram my ram is fine. I have been with you since the netscape days and I prefer your features butthe browser needs a rebuild with the current look and workings and also the other benifits chrome offer with pdf etc Thank you for reading this. Bill Shannon

As I'm trying Firefox, it seems I cannot import the bookmarks from Chrome. Tried both the bookmark library (import) and the Settings -> Import Browser Data -> Import, same results. Everything else seems to be there, except the bookmarks, which is a show stopper.

Edge was able to import the Chrome bookmarks - So I also tried to import from Edge, no go.

I'm on Firefox 136 (latest) and Chrome 133.0.6943.143

Any suggestions?

Firefox 136.0 update is causing so many issues. I'm getting non stop Firefox master password prompts when I use Firefox now. I've tried all sorts of trouble shooting with no luck. I gave Firefox a "tune up" and "Refreshed" it and it deleted all my "Firefox Multi-Account Container settings". I had a ton of websites saved there and would like to get them back. How can I regain my "Firefox Multi-Account Container settings"and reinstall them from a recent TimeMachine backup? Thanks!

I'm on a M1 Mac running Mac OS 15.3.1

There used to be a "Save to Pocket" button on each story shown on the Firefox home page. That made it very easy to save stories to pocket for later reading. Now I have to click on the 3 dot open menu button to get to it. Why would you put in an extra step to get to such a useful feature????

I need the shortcut search to work across a variety of keywords. For example, a search on the Mozilla Support website was called via: m, mzs, mozsup, If you add keywords separated by commas, the entire shortcut stops working, although there are multiple shortcuts in the default wikipedia shortcuts, such as w, @wikipedia.

Hello, I have entered 100% accurate login credentials. I know this because I know I can login with the same credentials on Safari and Chrome. I have enabled cookies and I have turned off Enhanced Tracking Protection and don't know why BofA.com won't load. I only get a spinning wheel that just keeps spinning. Please help! Thank you, David

A opção nas configurações do browser "Abrir abas e janelas anteriores" está ativa, deixo várias abas abertas, mas quando fecho e abro novamente, as abas somem. Não sei se pode ser um problema externo, do computador, mas seria interessante se essa opção funcionasse como deveria.
