I ran the windows 11 system file checker (sfc/scannow) to fix a font problem I was having. It did say that problems were found and fixed and I do not seem to have that problem any more. After that, i could not access the Settings in Firefox. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and still could not access Settings. I also cannot access any Web sites either by typing them into the address bar or using bookmarks. Both Chrome and MS Edge work.

Hi everyone, I've looked for help but can't seem to find what works. I went to about:config and searched for toolkit.winRegisterApplicationRestart and made it false, it worked for less than a week and now firefox is starting when the computer boots up. How do i stop this? I'm using windows 11 24h2. I've been using firefox for years. My computer boots up faster than my router and it keeps saying i don't have internet. I'd appreciate any help thanks.

I'm using the vertical tabs feature. I also tried enabling the "Expand sidebar on hover" option, which minimizes the side bar, and only expands it when you hover on it.

Issue: I have a lot of open tabs, and I'm usually working with the ones at the bottom of the list. When the bar minimizes the scroll position resets back to the beginning. So, every time I want to select a tab, I have to scroll back down, which makes this feature very hard to use.

Expected behavior: After the vertical bar minimizes, and I hover again, it should keep the scroll position.

If I need to upload a file I click on the OPEN or BROWSE button in the website, Open File dialogue opens trying to list the location it is already looking at, and it hangs for over 30 seconds before listing files. This is windows 11, but it did it when i had windows 10 too. I dont know what to do.

Whenever i search something on google, firefox desktop (all fine on android) is failing to display the ai(gemini) answer no matter what questions i ask.

Same happens in the "AI Mode" option that is available in google's recent update.

And, I,m logged in.

This started since a week, everything was working fine before that.

I am unable to log in to my router with Firefox. This is a very recent development. When I go to the router's address, it says Unable to connect. I am on a Mac Studio (OS 15.1), running Firefox 132.0.1. The same thing is happening with Edge, but I can get to the router just fine with Safari and Chrome.

If anyone know why this is happening, your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

P.S. I did make some changes a couple of weeks ago in about:config, but I don't know what settings I changed. I was trying to find out why the computer was constantly accessing my optical drives (I thought it was when a web browser was open, but it turned out to be all of the time). Since last two updates, I noted I can't click on the URL field or any icons next to each other two versions ago. I changed the Bluetooth mouse to a lined mouse, then it went OK. But with the latest update, again, the same symptom occured and persists: I am on MacBookPro, so I manage to Command+any command key.

How can I restore and click on URL field, copy URL, or reload the URL address again? OF course, I need to use other icons for each function.

Hello, when i fullscreen video on youtube video stops buffering. When i end fullscreen buffering immediatly starts and everything is okay. Back and forth. I tried: reinstall to lastest mozilla release, disable addons, stoubleshoot mode, increase cache in about:config and other public solutions i can google. When i look on "Statistic for experts" on youtube there are three bars and it shows: Normal size player: Connection Speed - some amount of kbps (works) Network Activity - some amount of KB (works) Buffer Health - some amout of s (works) Fullscreen: Connection Speed - some amount of kbps (works) Network Activity - 0 KB (doesn´t work) Buffer Health - 0 s (doesn´t work)

I just installed Firefox. What I noticed right away while using it was that fonts were very blurry/hard to read on all web pages, and even in firefox's menus and URL bar.

I attached two pictures, one is a screenshot in Firefox, and the other is a screenshot in Brave. (All chromium web browsers I have tried don't have firefox's font problem)

The thumbnails can be momentarily seen but within less than a second they disappear. Not happening in edge so doesn't seem to be a computer setting. Cleared all cookies and cache in firefox. I'm having much difficulty in attaching a article I see to Facebook. Its possible the problem may be I'm not using the right instruction on the Firefox options when I right click the article I want to attach to Facebook. Some of those options are, Save link as, Copy link, when I right click for options. Can someone explain what is the right option to use? And, how do I proceed once I choose the correct option to make that attachment to a Facebook message I'm replying to? There are times a picture of the article will attach to the Facebook message, but the text that is associated with the attachment will not appear? Can someone please help? Thank you.

Hi, It is not a question but a bug report. From the version 131 up today the Nightly stopped to initialize quickly as before. Certainly, it is not the windows 10 21H2, the antivirus, the firewall or anything other similar internal problem, just because the Edge and the Opera are working fine and they are four times more rapid than the Nightly. It is just to say, that your procedures to improve the security is transforming the Firefox in a mirror of the usefulness Chrome. I take the time to open the home page of Firefox = 9 seconds, against 0.28 s of the Opera. So, I think you should rethink the security and other hidden setting options of the Nightly, because as is, it is very bad. The big thing that the Geeks from silicon Valley did not have in mind is: There are lot of people that need to find extremely fast a configuration, like to export/import passwords from older browsers, or computers, without need to replace one by one. There are many other things that you decided to hide, but I don't know why. Anyway, I will try to update one more time, then, unfortunately I could not use the Firefox anymore. Further, I want a few add-ons, either if there is any percentage of insecurity. A few times we need afford risks to understand and discovery other problems in the web. We cannot do it anymore with the Nightly.

Hello dear community! My firefox keeps crashing when trying to open a tab or close a tab. I can't replicate it since it happens on random tab-closing and tab-opening. I think it's just crashing when doing something like clicking anywhere and NOT when doing nothing while the system is idling. Thank you for your help!
