firefox setup 127.0.2.exe offline installer fails with message about "extraction failed" and popup "file is corrupt".

Windows explorer shows file properties and a signature for mozilla.

Is there a way to manually unpack the .exe? Someplace that issues are logged with more data (which file is corrupt?) There is a progress bar that flashes by part way, then a popup window with the file corrupt message.

(Trying to update to hopefully get rid of some crashes.)

Is there a hash for that .exe I could check?

I am running version 125.0.3 (64-bit) on Windows 11, and I can't check for updates and have to manually download each new version after given a popup telling me that the latest Firefox update couldn't be installed. I've tried restarting the computer, tried running the Mozilla Maintenance Service, and installing the latest updates for Firefox and Windows 11. Nothing I've tried has worked, and no other help article has helped me thus far.

I recently updated to 125.0.1 and now get 'failed to check for updates': - when I manually check (help > about Firefox) (see image) - in 'settings' it also shows 'failed to check for updates' (see image) I never had such a problem with previous versions; any suggestions?

A blank survey pops up in my homepage each time I open Firefox, I haven't filled it yet since I don't know what it entails and what it is about. There is no option to close it either, and it seems bugged as it isn't going away even after updating the version of Firefox, it is still present on 125.0.2 version. Kindly assist regarding the same. I have attached a picture of the same herewith.

In Linux Ubuntu I created 4 different launchers for 4 profiles.

Firefox opens the different profiles correctly, but the name of Profile 4 is displayed in the title bar for all windows. This causes confusion when I'm using the different profiles. Furthermore, the icon displayed in the icon bar is also the same for the 4 profiles, although I have configured a different icon for each profile. I ask for help as I need each instance to have its own name and icon displayed correctly.

The launchers look like this:

I have recently tried to use Firefox View button in order to quickly open pages that I have opened on my Android device, however I found that only some (random) portion of the tabs appear in the Firefox View under [tabs from other devices/my android device].

Is there any way I can change that behaviour? This is renedring the Firefox View kind of pointless, as I still have to open my phone to check whether there was maybe one more important page that I wanted to check out, that was not listed in the Firefox View on my PC. At that point, I could very well just see what were I at, on the android device, and just google stuff again. The mixed approch (some opened via Firefox View and some manually) is more time consuming than either of the approaches alone, so I would really appreciate help, as Firefox View seemed to be a time-saver - I believe I have something set erroneously somwhere. this is definitely a unique issue i have not ever had, LOL

i'm running into a very strange issue where only the roblox page is not loading properly. everything else seems to work just fine; trying to load roblox on google chrome works fine too! ive turned off my extensions and run it in troubleshoot mode, i've updated the browser and my pc and my drivers, nothing seems to want to fix it. i'm not very sure what's going on. it's very funny, but definitely troublesome- the website is not navigatable in this state.

it randomly popped up like this last night, i was under the impression roblox itself was down because my friend in the call at the time had been talking about how slow the site is. upon digging deeper and asking around, nobody else is having the issue i'm having so i'm lead to believe its a me issue

the built in eyedropper tool is the simplest and easiest solution to grabbing screen colors without granting file permission to 3rd party solutions for full funcionality. I have power-toys but I hate to see this tool needlessly depreciated. My workflow needs to sample many colors at a time making the menu navigation needless. PLEASE let there be a way to add it to the toolbar, I hope there is. Thanks for your time

Firefox removes the exceptions after every update and they have to be manually re-added. This is a very frustrating user experience. Can you please help me identify if this is an issue with Firefox that can be updated or is it an issue with some setting I have setup.

Exceptions that get reset - Cookies and Site Data, Pop-ups, Add-ons, etc.

Permissions that get reset - All of them Location, Camera, Microphone, etc.

• Side note, the Troubleshooting Information section below has a link to share data, that link does not open in a new window. It opened in this same window, erasing all the content I had typed up the first time.

We still use some Dell 13g servers equipped with idrac 8. When I'm trying to launch the virtual Console the window opens up but nothing shows. This used to work fine in previous versions of Firefox. I can't tell from which version it stopped but it's not long ago. Also idrac 9 console works fine in Firefox When trying to open console idrac 8 in Chrome it works fine Any idea what could be causing it? Any config switch to tweak?

I run the latest version of Firefox.

Lately it refuses to open on first attempt - be it from a start menu link or double-clicking the shortcut on my desktop or trying to open a html file directly.

It's annoying and i'd like to fix it.

I've done all the usual stuff like clearing the cache.

There seems to be a new function that opens a quick search window when I press the apostrophe key. This function is active on many websites, and I am using Firefox 125.0.3 on a Macbook Air.

This new function makes it very difficult for me to practice touch typing in Firefox, and I would like to turn this function of.

Nvidia RTX Super Resolution seems to only work very rarely or not at all compared to the Chrome version. In some instances it will upscale the Full-Screen Video. It will not interact with windowed videos at all. But it will never upscale a windowed version that exceeds the playback resolution.

Steps to reproduce for windowed videos:

1. Open any youtube video
2. Set the resolution to 480p or lower (as I am using a QHD 2560 x 1440p monitor)
3. Playback the video and monitor Nvidia Control Panel to see if Super Resolution has activated.

Observation for windowed videos: Feature works in Chrome. Feature does not work in Firefox

Full-Screen and Super Resolution: I have no idea what is going on here, on very rare occasions it does work, for the most part it does not work at all. If I had to give a rough idea of when it works, I would say that it is more likely to work when Firefox has been freshly launched.

I could neither see an active change in the Control Panel, or notice anything in the video quality. Both a quality change and feedback in the Control Panel occur when using the feature in Chrome. I have tested on identical links, with identical quality settings.

I tried:

• setting the Super Resolution Quality manually, instead of manually
• an incognito tab

After upgrading to fedora 40, firefox just takes ages to boot up, even when it's running if I want to open a new window it still takes ages to run. I have tried uninstalling it and deleting it's data but with no luck. The issue still presists.

When I go to update Firefox through the settings > general > firefox updates > check for updates, I am getting the error in the title. I can manually download the app installer and update to the most current version which is what I did for version 125.0.1, yesterday.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling firefox, installing the beta branch, refreshing firefox, running in troubleshooting mode, completely deleting all user firefox files, and I still get the error. No DNS resolver issues to the update server. No firewall issues. No network blocking (tested with other devices).

This issue started after March update to 124.0.1 and continues to current stable release 125.0.1.

This issue also seems to extend to checking for extension updates.
