Dear Sir/Madam,
After the recent firefox update I have the particular problem. When I am creating a new tab then I could not make a click in the middle of the browser as usual to make a web search (through google, please check attached file) but it is allowed only through the address bar.

Hi everyone,
I've enabled the Restore previous session feature (in Settings->General->Startup). All nice and good, except the fact that FF is serving pages from cache when starting up and restoring the session. I would very much like FF to refresh the pages so I can see the live content by default.
Any ideas? Maybe an about:config flag?
Thanks, Mircea.

Firefox already has features for blocking autoplay. I use all of those.
But, some websites still manage to autoplay! Is there a way to stop those devious websites? Examples include Yahoo Finance and ESPN.
I already have Autoplay set to "Block Audio and Video" in the Permissions section of Settings. I have also gone into about:config and set the following:
media.autoplay.allow-extension-background-pages false media.autoplay.block-event.enabled true media.autoplay.block-webaudio true media.autoplay.default 5
Is there anything else I can do?
Also, does anyone know *why* firefox is allowing these videos to play?

There are 2 ways to copy-paste in Linux. The traditional ctrl+c/ctrl+v, which copies the selection to clipboard. There is another way that automatically copies the selected text to X primary register (without pressing any other buttons).
The second mode (copying to X primary), no longer works for me. How can I fix it? (The feature works on other GTK apps)

I'm concerned about my browser history, saved passwords, bookmarks, etc. getting in the hands of someone with ill intent. I'm sending my laptop to Asurion to be repaired and want to get as much sensitive information off as possible. can firefox be backed up and then uninstalled, to be reinstalled later with all my settings? Thanks for any advice.

Folks frequently bemoan that Firefox doesn't have the same Ctrl+Shift+T keyboard shortcut to Restore Previous Sessions that Chromium has (heck, I'm one of them), but I noticed that Ctrl+Shift+N will restore Previously Closed Windows. From a backend perspective, is there a functional difference between these two options? Does using the Restore Previous Sessions button in the History panel behave differently in regards to, I don't know, cookies or something? I'm a little hazy on what a "session" is and why it's important.

I recently moved from the US to the UK. I now have an amazon.co.uk account and every time I type ama... I instinctively hit ENTER and I'm on the amazon.com site and buying stuff I have to ship across the ocean.
I tried the trick of hitting SHIFT-DEL for the amazon.com listing in search results but no matter how many times I've removed it (and it does disappear) it still suggests amazon.com
This happen for other sites as well that I have switched accounts.
Is there any way to solve this?

I know how to create shortcuts, but what I am trying to do is create shortcuts on my Firefox home page. With Chrome I think I click on Add Shortcut, type in a name and below it the web URL. Takes a few seconds. So many of the results I get for Firefox are years old, very old versions of Firefox. My Firefox is the latest version. It can't be this difficult. Two clicks and a little typing and Chrome adds one.
