My YouTube page wont complete its opening/loading process. This just started today and has never happened before. I've tried "reloading" it several times but to no avail. I see I can open YouTube properly using the Microsoft Edge browser, but Firefox is getting stuck in the opening/loading process. I even tried "restarting my Desktop PC (that I use for this everyday). It did not help.

I'm trying to install version 52.9.0 of Firefox on windows XP. The file available here does nothing when I run it. Windows doesn't show any dialogues or give errors. Nothing happens. When I check on Taskar, I can see the CPU activity go up, but the installer doesn't appear as a process. The third line from top of Firefox home page Most visited, pinned sites and other Bookmarks keeps disappearing when I open Firefox. I go to more troubleshooting and Clear startup cache and on restart it comes back. However this continues to happen not ever time I open Firefox but maybe about 3 or 4 times a week. Using most recent version of Firefox.

The pause feature in the debug menu doesn't always work. Pressing F8 to toggle it does in general work, but I noticed when I enter a context menu on some websites, pressing F8 with the debug menu open doesn't do anything. This is especially annoying for me because when I am making UserStyles (custom user-made CSS) for websites, some elements disappear when trying to find them in inspect element using the "pick an element from the page" feature. I thought pausing could fix it (which in other cases can) but that also wasn't working. If anyone can help me that would be appreciated!

(Also, pressing the pause button directly also makes the element disappear, so that wont work)

Youtube is nonfunctional on firefox as of April 29 2025. It was all working fine last night, then I woke up to no youtube. It loads the website as a blank screen. Videos can be accessed by going directly to their URL, but no recommendeds load in, no comments section, even the title and channel information is unavailable. I would say none of the buttons work, but there are no buttons to test. It works fine in Chrome still. I know it's not my extensions because I tried removing them all, and it didn't fix it. I know it's not my cache/cookies, because I cleared that too and it didn't fix it. I know it's not on Youtube's end, because it works fine in Chrome. I know it's not an update issue, because I updated my browser and it didn't fix it. Please. I want to be able to use youtube in firefox. Please help me fix this thing. I have attached photos, but I suspect they'll be more demonstrative of the problem than useful for troubleshooting.

'Another' Issue With Firefox:

On my desktop, I view Facebook via the Firefox browser. When viewing posts from other people, the date/time stamp is no longer visible.

Instead, it shows a random series of numbers and digits. However, 'hovering' over it displays the date and time.

Refreshing the page does not work. The issue also occurs on Opera.

'Again,' am I missing an 'obvious' detail here?

Maybe it is my spiritual guides because i obsses and have OCD and have too many tabs. But i started having tabs get deleted and i have no tabs on re-launch, tried to check, re-check this. I Am not sure if to reinstall because i don't want to lose passwords or setting/history (i don't remember now it should be saved) but usually reinstalling doesn't solve anything for me anyways...

I didn't install any new extensions when it started happening!

It doesn't happen every time so it is hard to troubleshoot, i cannot use browser with safe mode. I might test it couple times.

A new problem..one I've never had before. I cannot connect to my Ally Bank site using Firefox. I looked at help pages but they just confuse me. Can you give me info ( step by step if necessary) that will get me to Ally? .

Read Aloud charged me $25.00 on 5/31/25, but I did Not subscribe to this feature. And when I open my Firefox browser to I see where I can add this feature, but have not as I do not need it.

I called the phone number listed on my American Express charge, but it states "this number is not in service." Also, I visited the website, and it looks like a phishing shell that first asks for my credit card number to 'look-up' the charge. No way!!

I'm disputing this charge with the AmEx, but you may want to be aware of this issue. My office does not allow us to use Firefox, and now I see why.

Before I uninstall Firefox, I'm removing all credit card history from the background.

Why won't Firefox open any new windows? I give ir the command to open a window and yet all i get are tabs and I never click on open a tab. I have an HP probook this for windows 10 and i am also having the same problem with Chrome. I have uninstalled and reinstalled chrome and that did not fix it so it is not that. What would cause this? I have already cleared the cache cookies history browsing etc. and nothing is fixing it. PLEASE HELP.

All of a sudden cannot access facebook marketplace/birthdays has a blue loading line at the top of the screen ( attached) however doesn't load.

Tried deleting cache, logging in/out, restarting computer etc..

Every so often while using firefox, my mouse will suddenly not respond to clicking, both from my laptop and my mouse. My cursor on screen is still able to move however, and my laptop keys are also still functional. Is this due to me having a couple of profile windows open at the same time, or another reason?

With Firefox's latest update...

1. Javascript no longer works on pages it absolutely must work. The webpage for my security cameras not longer allow me to operate the cameras. When I click pan/tilt/zoom button all I get is a little message that says "Jacascript" at the bottom right corner where there should be a url. I've never actually paid attention on the security cams page but the url is there on other websites. I have to have this functionality. How do I re-enable Javascript for at least this page?

2. Deactivated extensions are not actually deactivated. To trouble shoot the first problem I disabled NoScript and ADblock Plus to see if they were interfering. I closed and reopened Firefox, and even restarted my PC. Firefox shows the extension to be disabled but they are in fact still active and working. Something is extremely broken in Firefox's extension manager. Is there anyway to actually disable these extensions without removing them?
