The menu bar keeps flashing about every 5-10 seconds. When it does it disrupts / interrupts whatever I'm typing, deleting everything I've typed when the flash occurs.

It also disrupts things like using a drop down menu. The menu is opened (aka dropped down) but when the flash occurs it collapses the drop down menu.

Also for example en typing; let's say I'm typing " Mary had a little lamb". After typing "Mary had a" the Menu bar flashes. When it does "Mary had a" gets deleted. As I continue to type not knowing "Mary had a" was deleted I look up and see all that's left is "little lamb".

It's constantly doing this even while typing this message / question.

If copy and pasting it'll clear the text I've chosen to copy so I have to go back and re-select it. And try to get it done quickly before the next flash occurs. But if the next flash occurs the same thing happens all over again.

I have no idea what's going on. Searched and searched and can't find anything. It's making Firefox almost impossible to use. Please help me?!

I'm using Firefox version 115.18.0esr It is up to date.

Since the last update, 133 at least I believe that is the last update, I CANNOT LOG INTO Firefox for my PC. I have always used Firefox as my Primary Account therefore, once I have logged into Firefox I then log into my other programs such as Outlook.Live.com. Yes, I know that is a MS program. When I say I cannot log into Firefox.com this is what I mean. I click on the Firefox ICON in my task tray and Firefox appears only because I am NOT logged into Firefox. Then I am asked to Download Firefox for my PC. Of course, I know it is already downloaded and depending on the day I will receive a message saying Firefox is already downloaded or it may download it again. No matter my decision, I rarely have an opportunity to log in, unless I use a round-about way of going through Microsoft. Most of the time the application menu does not appear and when it does appear, and if Firefox allows me to use my credentials to log in, then I wait and wait and wait and the only thing that happens is NOTHING. I'm left staring at a blank screen. Since I've always used Firefox as my PRIMARY, after logging into it I then log in or open other programs I use such as Outlook.Live.com (yes, I know that is a MS program). After years of using Firefox I have never had to look at a blank screen and when I'm lucky enough to see the log in, I attempt to log into Outlook. But, I haven't seen Outlook in weeks. I have to use a round-about way of logging into Microsoft to log into Outlook, sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't work. It's as though Microsoft and Firefox have found a way to merge their programming. As you may imagine it takes me over an hour to use the programs I need. 'AND, here is the icing on the cake. Mozilla Firefox no longer monitors Trend Micro Security which I have used at least 15 years. At one time, Firefox did monitor TM as an add-on but no longer, and when I checked to see the latest update you were showing, it is obvious you are not keeping up with TM's many updates. I have received some very strange messages from websites I previously log into on a daily basis, such as Grammarly and Pocket and have been redirected to a Microsoft page indicating I owe money, which I DON'T so that was another waste of my time clearing that up. Now, I have gone days without logging into my PC out of sheer frustration. I don't know what else to do and now I'm not protected with a Security Program although I do update and run it everyday. Yes, I am aware of Microsoft's firewall but I'm not sure how well that is working since my PC is now out-of-date. I suppose I could start a Go Fund Me page to earn enough money to buy a new computer...lol I desperately need help. For about the last 2 months, when I either get a notification that an update is available or I manually check for updates, both Firefox and Thunderbird are stuck in "Downloading updates -- 0 bytes" on 2 Windows 11 computers. Eventually, like a half an hour to an hour later, the update downloads and I can install the update. This has been going on for 2 months now. As a 20 plus year user of Mozilla and also a long-time financial contributor, this problem going on for 2 months is getting old. And yes, I have checked my antivirus and firewall. Is Mozilla aware of the problem and is there a solution?

The True Key extension from McAfee cannot be installed on Firefox. I have the latest updated version of Firefox 133.0.1 64 bit on my desktop Dell computer running Windows 11 Pro. When I try to install the True Key extension, a message pops up advising me that the extension cannot be installed due to a Firefox policy violation. I have reported the issue to McAfee for their action. Photo of the pop up message is attached.

I am a new firefox user and would like to use it 100%, but have been running into a few bugs. This one I have been unable to find this issue myself, so thought I would ask here. I use Qobuz to stream hi-res music up to 24bit/ 192kHz. Some albums do not have sound at that resolution. The file will load and timer shows the song is playing, but there is no audio. I can change the setting to stream at 16bit/44.1kHz and then I get audio. Again, this does not occur with all albums, some will stream at hi-res and some will not. An interesting note: the same file with no audio at hi-res on firefox will have audio at same resolution setting on chrome. The only thing I can think of is chrome is reducing resolution in the background, or maybe a DRM issue? I do have "Play DRM-controlled content" checked in firefox settings.

p.s. I am aware that streaming music through a browser is not necessarily the best way to listen to hi-res music, and my ears may, or may not hear the difference between the 16bit and 24bit. However, the issue is the functionality, or lack of.

I am unable to login to my Google Accounts on Firefox on Desktop from version 136.0.2 and up. Everytime I open the sign-in page for Google, the page automatically closes before I can type in my information. I followed the advice from this Support page with no success: "Unable to log into Google accounts from Firefox", https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1468020#:~:text=We%20have%20resolved%20an%20issue%20with%20Google%20auth,settings%20that%20does%20not%20require%20a%20Firefox%20upgrade.

I am able to log into my Google accounts in other browsers so I think the issue is localized to Firefox. I did notice that the web URL for the Google Accounts webpage changes each time I attempt to log in. I included two URLs for reference.

I have both German and Dutch dictionaries downloaded, but firefox' spelling check just... doesn't see the dictionaries at all. (The dictionaries tab eventually links to the second screen, when you can see the pack is installed.) I can't seem to find anywhere else it might need to be activated in first, my computer's default language has also been either dutch or german so that shouldn't have any effect. It's not a restart firefox issue either - it has persisted for a while, i just keep forgetting lol.

Metamask extension is not properly loading- opening the extension that should lead to the PW/login screen only shows a loading/spinning wheel with the MM-Fox logo. Any idea why this might be happening and any solutions would be immensely appreciated. Using the latest version. have tried toggling ext on/off, and other simple troubleshoot. For context. there is not the same issue on other browsers, even on Firefox on other PC. Could this be related to a PC component? Have experienced frequent tab crashes lately after upgrading my CPU- garbage 14th gen intel that's crashed a few times. what PC settings could be playing a role? BIOS settings default- no overclock or other mod. I have (2) firefox's on my pc- one downloaded from Mozilla, and the other from MSFT app store. MSFT app has no issues and functions fine. I have been using Firefox for a long time, and recently I upgraded my Windows system. Before the upgrade, I had set Firefox to open PDFs directly in a PDF Reader other than Firefox’s built-in PDF viewer, and it worked perfectly. However, after the upgrade, Firefox now shows the "Opening when completed" message and opens PDFs slowly, instead of opening them immediately in my chosen PDF Reader.

I have checked the settings, cleared the cache, refreshed Firefox, and even tested with other software, but the issue persists. The settings for handling PDFs are still the same, but they don't seem to work as they used to.

Can you please assist me in resolving this issue? Any help would be much appreciated.

I am unable to get access to my Gmail accounts. Every time I select a bookmark link to Google email I get server time out error pages. I have looked at Windows 10(64) Firewall settings and I do not find anything blocking Firefox from accessing the internet(Inbound or Outbound Rules) are set to allow. NordVPN is not set to block any program or connection. I have never seen anything block access to Google.com or any related pages within Google. HELP Please!

Hello, I am now seeing a problem displaying an Iframe with Firefox Browser 137.0.1 (64-bit). It appears but in a reduced form (about ten lines of a spreadsheet) without occupying the entire size of the Iframe. This problem did not exist previously in previous versions of Firefox. Please let me know if there is a solution. Other browsers display this Iframe correctly.

I am experiencing significant performance problems in Mozilla Firefox when using certain AI-powered tools. Below are the specific issues:

   Flux AI & Diagramming AI Performance Warnings

       Issue: When accessing Flux AI or Diagramming AI tools, Firefox displays a warning message stating, "This site is slowing down Firefox."

       Observed Behavior:

           Delayed response times or freezing when interacting with these tools.

   CMS Sign-Out Failure

   ChatGPT Menu Error

       Issue: Clicking the three-dots (⋮) menu in ChatGPT triggers an error instead of displaying options.

I use the IRS form filler to pay my taxes...have for years with Firefox browser. This year (for 2024 return) when I sign into the site the 1040 form does not display correctly. the boxes are to the right and below the actual placement. I emailed IRS who said it is a setting in Firefox. I tried the site using Microsoft EDGE and it displays correctly. I have searched for possible solutions and tried them all like using/on and off excelerator, letting Firefox chose size and colors of sites, turned off Noton etc. I posted another question here but no replies or looks so maybe I did something wrong so I will try to post again. I have W10 fully updated and Firefox too up to date. I understand I could use Edge but never had to and prefer to use Firefox as I have before. any suggestions would be appreciated or where I can report a possible issue with Firefox. I know, sounds stupid, but it is what it is. It happens rarely, only with Firefox on the secondary display from my laptop, via HDMI. It starts with some random few thin horizontal bars across the window itself, and soon, it turns off my display. It seems the bigger the window is, the more severe the issues. So full screen usually, it shuts it off and keeps it off. Not black screen, no signal style. I manage to get it out by Winkey+arrow. If i then put it back same issue. If i lower the width of it, it manages to stay coherent longer, but still resets the display with a quick black screen on page reload. The lower bounds on a 1920x1080 display resolution was 1515 pixels. At 1515 pixels, it works fine, once this is triggered, it's very repeatable on 60-70% of webpages. If i drag another window on top of Firefox, the monitor comes back up.

Before anyone asks: I have tried turning off hardware acceleration. I have tried putting firefox.exe to run on the integrated video card and on the dedicated 1060 Max Q videocard. I have cleared cache and etc.

This persists on a Windows session, across multiple Firefox restarts. A computer restart technically fixes it but i have no clue what triggers it. Laptop monitor works fine.

Firefox is no longer saving all my history. OR, I can't find it. I can't find it because: HISTORY/SHOW ALL HISTORY is now only showing "today". This occurred with v133, but I do not know if it occurred with any given update. I updated to 134.0.1. That did not fix problem. I have not tried regressing.

In the past, I was able to save YEARS of history (although I sometimes created a new profile to restart the history file due to its size).

1. I was using the "DYNAMIC HISTORY" addon, which worked fine for years. When I found Firefox was showing only the current days' history, I disabled that addon. Didn't fix anything.

2. "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" option IS NOT SELECTED. NEVER HAS BEEN

3. OTHER SETTINGS: no - Always use private browsing mode yes - Remember browsing and download history yes - Remember search and form history NO - Clear history when Firefox closes

any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. I am also baffled: googling this problem comes up empty handed.

Hello, Thanks in advance for your help. I am having trouble logging into "trusted" web sites with Firefox and every update seems to add to my problem. By "trusted" web sites I mean sites like Charles Schwab, Spectrum and iCloud as well as my city's water department and my local hospital's portal. It doesn't matter whether I use "normal" Firefox or its privacy mode or safe mode-the problem persists. I am running Firefox version 134.0.2 but the problem goes back several months. I have Windows 10 and use Malwarebytes Browser Guard. The only other add on I use is Print Friendly & PDF. It doesn't matter whether these addons are running or not. The problem seems to involve either a loop, blank fields or very odd error messages. Some examples are below:

iCloud allows me to get to the point where it asks me to supply the 6 digit verification code. I enter the code and the site loads. Approximately 2 seconds later, before I can navigate to anything in iCloud, I am taken back to the log in screen to start over. The loops repeat as often as I want to try. Clearing cache and history does nothing. Since there is nothing abnormal (no error message or blank fields) I have not included a screen shot.

Spectrum allows me to enter my credentials waits a while and then gives me an odd error message about Feature Unavailable and suggests that I try logging in from home. I might add that all of these problems occur while I AM at home. Screen shot attached.

Charles Schwab allows me to get to the log in screen but the screen is unusable. There is a message that the session has timed out and I need to log in. The log in sections of the screen are blank which leads me to believe that the page is not loading all the way but that is a guess. Screen shot is attached.

I can log into all these pages with Edge (which I dislike using) with no problems at all.

I have Firefox set to automatically delete cookies and site data when closed. Privacy is set to Standard.

I would really appreciate any help that you can give me. Please note that the screen shots are BMP files that I had to rename to GIF files to get them to upload.

I would appreciate whatever help or suggestions someone may provide to an irksome problem that only happens in my preferred browser, Firefox. I've attached an image below of a page from a local grocery store. Like most stores these days, it is possible to search within that store and its web site for specific items and prices, etc. It works in at least two other browsers I've tried but not in Firefox so a setting, I'm guessing, has been changed within Firefox in the last few months (because this problem did not occur before then).

As you see in the image, I've inserted an item to find its price; and nothing happens. Before, on Firefox, and now with other browsers, I would get a display of all relevant products, prices, quantities, sales and discounts, etc.

What Firefox setting do I need to change so this information will show up again?

I have Firefox version 137.0.2 on this system running Windows 10 Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.5737).
