Since the settings haven't given that option for years, the best way to have a local file as the new tab page was using autoconfig.cfg + autoconfig.js, as described in this thread: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1251199 But since the most recent update (v136.0), this stopped working.

The New Tab Override add-on has its own issues with using local files (can only load a .html file, no local CSS/JS, can't give a blank address bar for me to search in), so it doesn't solve the issue either.

This is very important to me, and others have been asking for this feature back for years. It feels awful to have the working solution stop working, in the browser that's supposed to be open and customizable.

Mozilla added Accuweather to my New Tab page today. I can't use it because my VPN uses other locations. I attempted to remove it using the "solution" from another user's post 9 months ago. However, none of those things worked. There is no "Tools" option in the menu and I unchecked and blocked every item on the "Page Info" tab under the "Permissions" header. Zero result.

The Accuweather feed shows up in the upper left corner of the computer screen and does not have a "dismiss" option. I did notice that it has some entries in about:config. Is the solution to be found there?

I've used Firefox for year but this morning it would not open. so after trying everything else I uninstalled it and tried to re install but the new installation will not open

After uninstalling and then reinstalling Firefox, when I open new tab I can't immediately start typing. I first have to click on the address bar. Please tell me how to fix this.

I purchased VPN but for some reason it refuses to work on my PC. I have reloaded it several times but to no avail. I have given up and now want my subscription returned.......but how!!! I cannot find a way to do this, I know it's not made simple for obvious commercial reasons, but I will not give up until the money that I paid for something that doesn't work is back in my account. Can anyone help?

The weather widget is set the country I am from, however I would like to actually use a different location for the weather. Is it possible to do? I tried to type in the city I want it to be set to but it only shows cities from my country.

The refresh button in my firefox desktop browser suddenly disappeared. One day the usage was normal, but on the next launch of the browser, there was no refresh button. I currently use the "F5" button to refresh but it would be better to use the button again.

can not resolve repeated problem : "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem." Cánt not find "Refresh"

The issue is very simple. When loading into the roblox website, the page becomes almost completely empty aside from the buttons at the top like Charts, Marketplace and the roblox icon at the top left. All of which do nothing when pressed.

The weird thing is that it works completely fine on an incognito tab..? Now I noticed something similar happening with other roblox's websites, where some parts of the site would break in very similar ways, but I thought nothing of it cause it didn't affect me too much. But after the new update, it extends to everything, not just one sub-page of roblox, the entire website is like this.

I removed my extensions and restarted my browser to see if that would fix anything but it didn't help.

Hello, The bar at bottom of my home screen is missing. The whole bar is gone. This bar had the windows icon with start-up menu, Power, button etc. That bar also included date and time, and other features. Once, I clicked the bottom of the screen and it came up for one second, but disappeared. How can I retrieve it? Thank you for any help you can provide.

when i login my google account on firefox they say this browser is not try another browser. and if you already use supportive browser then try again and if click on try again and try it they still show me same statement.
