Greetings- I was using my browser (single window, three open tabs) and I checked task manager - Firefox has several concurrent processes running and I don't understand. I understand the sandbox and one process having several child processes, but this I believe is suspect.

I also noticed that in the "Security at a glance" window in Win11, my icons have changed - there's a weird white box on most of the security icons. I'm thinking I may be under some sort of virus/trojan, etc., yet I've ran antivirus even in prior to boot and got nothing

Help a young old carpenter someone please> I'm not real bright with Computer tech but I am trying to contact my Bank support team. I log in to my account using Firefox 95.0.2 and everything is currently updated windows included but every time I finish writing and attaching the files requested I get the attached error message below . All my browser settings are set as they are supposed to be and this is maddening. I really would appreciate any help because it makes no sense to me I'm online and this is the only issue I'm having I just sent 2 email's earlier. Also I am the administrator of my laptop so I'm really confused. Remember be nice to your elders we didn't grow up in this tech world like you young people . My laptop got corrupted since I turned it off at a time when I shouldn't have, and ever since then, whenever I have opened firefox it just shows a blank tab and any new tabs that I open are also blank. I can type in the search bar, but nothing happens. Even uninstalling and reinstalling firefox does not help. (I am currently asking this from my desktop)

I'm running a late 2017 MacBook Air with memory of 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Monterey 12.0.1 and using Firefox 95.0. I am having a continuing issue with a web site (E edition of The Fort Worth Star Telegram) that after opening a second page/window of a news article, that 2nd open page causes Firefox to stop responding. Clearing caches and or restarting computer does not help. Feedback to Star Telegram has yielded no solution.

When I try to play video embedded in many websites, I just get a spinning wheel, and no videos will play. I've cleared my cache, and followed numerous other tips that I found when searching on this problem, but nothing has helped thus far. Any additional advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I has notebook ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 with i5-1135g7. First time I discovered problem in Firefox 95. I used win 10. HW decode stop working at all. I don't changed anything(no new version of driver have been installed, no browser update, bios and etc) hw decode just stop working in Firefox. Edge and video players still use hw decode. I tried to reinstall firefox with fully cleared(remove Mozilla folders from appdata and clear temp folder) but it don't solve the problem. Recently I hear that in firefox 100 av1 will be accelerated with hw decode. I decided to make clean install of win 11. And in clear system(no matter win 10 or win 11) firefox use hw decode. I was happy with it, but no long. When I turn ac charge off and tried to start youtube video it tried to start in 10-20 seconds and then plaing without hw decode. And It not changed back when I connect ac charge back and make reboot. And clear install of firefox also has no effect. I think it in the same state as it was before windows reinstall. It can be matter than I set windows settings for ac mode max performance and for battery mode max energy efficiency. Also I had klite codec pack installed but all work with it while I was on ac(and other programs continue work now).

I think hw decode very matter for notebooks battery lifetime. I sad that I had to use edge to watch youtube. I hasn't problems like this in my desktop pc with nvidia card(but it always in max performance mode).

At least I watching how to reset firefox hw decode state to find which is cause problems(windows energy saving settings, codec pack or something else). I not found any information about this.

This problem started with an update a couple months ago. Each bar is about 4 pixels wide and appears only on the right, left, and bottom edges of the browser window. They persist when the window is full size or smaller, but disappear on f11. The bars are completely unresponsive. Clicking or resizing the window doesn't seem to work inside of them. Even though the top of the window has no visible bar, there is still an unresponsive region like the other three sides and approximately 4 pixels of empty space.

When it comes to color, the bars spend about 50 percent of the time as white and 50 percent as the same gray that Firefox's dark mode uses. I wasn't able to get a screenshot when the bars were gray, but I was able to screenshot the top right and left corners when the bars were white, which I have attached.

It appears as if there are buttons of some sort poking out on the top right and left corners. If I had to guess, the top right icon looks like the "x" button on a Windows 7 window, and the top left icon looks like the red dot in the uppermost corner of a macOS window. My machine has only ever run Windows 10, and Firefox is the only application that this problem occurs in.

Restarting, using troubleshooting mode, manually removing extensions and themes, messing around with compatibility settings, running as administrator, refreshing Firefox, and reinstalling Firefox have all been unsuccessful. It really is annoying to live with this bug.

Hi, Firefox suddenly started crashing today. I can't load any tabs, or if I can manage to load one or two it usually crashes very soon after. I tried using troubleshoot mode, which didn't solve the problem. I also tried a clean install, which didn't fix it either. I haven't installed any new extensions or applications on my PC. The browser was working fine up to a few months ago but I didn't start looking into the issue until now

Youtube works fine but twitter, facebook and netflix don't load with error messages like "The media could not be played" and "Sorry, we're having trouble with playing this video."

I've tried different browsers and they work fine on chrome but not on Opera GX

I'm on windows 10 pro, so I don't have the issue with the N versions

Things I've looked at:

• My internet connection is fine;
• Firefox is up to date;
• Cache and cookies have been cleared;
• Add ons/extensions have been disabled;
• Autoplay has been disabled and then also tested with it enabled;
• Hardware acceleration was disabled;
• Firefox was restarted;
• I even downgraded to an older version

My problem is this:

If I click on the open new tab button, and then I keep my cursor there, such that I get the little tooltip "Open a new tab (Ctrl+T)..." , Firefox will stop the address bar from updating---it won't show my keyboard inputs, not will it search, or do anything else. This will resolve itself after I move my cursor away from the open new tab button and the tooltip stops showing, even my inputs will appear there.

This quite annoying, especially when opening a tab to search for something quickly...

Basically what happens is that some images download and upload as a mess of vertical stripes. One of the images is what happens when i try to change my pfp on my email, and the this (i couldnt get the image to upload here) is what downlaods when i hit share here.
