recently my computer crashed and after restart firefox restored a session. I have noticed that some of my tabs are missing and i have found out that restored session is about 1 month old. Then I have opened History Library and searched it for at least some of my lost tabs. I noticed that if I select May it shows me 6434 items for May but if I select April, it shows history for April, May and June, but now it has only 194 items for May. Then I select March, and it has only 125 items for May. For January it has 131 items for May so there is something very strange going on. What purpose does this history hiding serve? It should either show history only for selected month or all history from selected month to current date, or even better all history between two dates selected by user. Another great improvement would be filtering by "-" symbol for example "-https://www.google.com/maps" will remove google maps from viewed items (but everything is still saved in history).

I've been using Firefox for DECADES and I'm damned if I know why. Every time there's an update to the Firefox browser, it gets worse: Less user-friendly, more problems. For example: With every update, my settings are completely reset. Why? Do you really imagine that users don't want to keep their settings when you do an update to the software????????????? Why do you do this?

How about the 'Secure Connection Failed' message. This is pure incompetence. It happens again and again and again. Why? Interestingly enough, every one of the sites that Firefox claims are insecure have no trouble loading in Chrome. Explain to all Firefox users why we should keep using Firefox. I want to watch.

I've a question about synchronization because I'm confused using it. I thought that my passwords saved in browser on PC will be send to Firefox server and when I sign in on my cellphone they're will be "download" to my phone. But it doesn't work like that. Maybe a month ago i changed a lot of passwords, saved them and synchronized with account using PC. Now, when I install Firefox and sign in to my account on my mobile, passwords (old versions) was send from my phone to the Firefox server and changes made on PC was overwritten by older versions from mobile. What's wrong with that?

Everytime there is a new build version (not incremental) of Firefox my places, favicons etc corrupt and i end up with a new profile created, trying to use my files in the new version just keeps on corrupting them when i rename them back again.

I'm currently on 114.02 and upon updating to 115 my profile is useless. I have to start all over again with a new profile

Surely this is not how its supposed to work. Start a new profile after every new build version update

Why is my computer so SLOW to start up in the morning. I think it may have something to do with Firefox. I start the win7 then click on the firefox tab in order to go to my other sites. BUT firefox takes for ever to load?

I am continuing to get this 'firefox not responding' message while I am working around on the internet, then the computer stops working for a period of time (stalls out).

I leave a subject, then try to reopen firefox to look for something else, and even thought I think I have left firefox, then reoped it,...instead it tells me I now have 2 firefoxes opened because the other one never shut down??

I'm 80 years old and don't understand who ever is writing all this new software. I often wonder if they ever learned english??

How do I get firefox to the old look. No double spacing, background where address bar is to go back and no network like tabs for folders (back to actual yellow folders). Sorry for the image quality. Also this happens about once a year I tried to remove malware (which I had), but didn't work.

Just updated to Firefox 92.0. I use a Windows high-contrast style as my eyesight is not good, and the 92.0 update has trashed this style. I am having a terrible time viewing... anything... in Firefox. I either need to revert to the previous version or make changes to Firefox preferences, if possible; to restore the high-contrast scheme.

Also noticed that changes were made to the drop-down bookmarks toolbar... the spacing between entries has now doubled, so now only half the bookmarks appear at a time. The previous spacing was not a problem. Again, is there a way to change it back?

How do I permanently delete specific bookmark restore dates from Firefox 92.0, 64 bit? I am running Windows 7 pro. Older versions of Firefox gave me a delete option. Not anymore. I cannot eliminate specific restore bookmarks dates from the restore option. How do I do it? If necessary, I will uninstall Firefox completely. Thank You.

Hi, the backup files listed on the Restore menu are complete snapshots of your bookmarks for that date, and not limited to the new ones added on those dates. Do you want to physically delete the full backups from disk?

If you want to view/delete your current bookmarks added during a certain period, here are the steps for that:

Sorting Bookmarks by Date Added

First, make sure you have the Added column in your Library window (called up by Manage Bookmarks). To add a new column to the display, right-click any existing column heading and check the column on the little drop-down list.

Next, if you aren't sure which folder the bookmarks are in you can do a general search in the upper right corner (entering http will match most bookmark URLs).

Then click the Added column heading to sort by that column. This should group together the bookmarks added on a particular date so you can review and delete the ones you don't want.

Does that work on your Firefox?

No because I do not have an "Added" column on the Library window called up by "Manage Bookmarks." YES I would like to "Physically delete (permanently get rid of) "the full backups from the disc." I have yet to see a "delete" tab anywhere in this version of Firefox (92.0). I would gladly revert to an earlier version if it eliminated the current "restore bookmarks" list. How do I do it?

Now I am not able to send a new email. It always assumes an ongoing conversation, I do not want that at all. My email provider is WOW, they seem to be changed also. What I miss most is that when I enter a name the email address no longer appears. That ruins it totally. That is/was the very best email function but now it is gone.

I use that address to start a new conversation with a friend, and now that function is no longer found.. When I open an email the sender address is not shown, I need that address always. The sender address is vital, it is how I report scams, but more important it is how I can send a new email to the sender, I do not always want to do a reply. The size of the email is not shown, that is how I detect spam and hidden malware.

Has Mozilla been taken over by microsoft? That is what this change looks like. (Sorry, I know that sounds rather nasty, but it looks that way)

I use several different computers but I am the only user, I have not yet tried the other computers to see if the old version is still available. So far this computer is the only one updated. I need to assure that no automatic updates ever are done, EVER!!!
