Hi,

I've followed all the directions to fix the restore tabs issue that suddenly started occuring, but when I follow the directions. The tabs still mysteriously disapper when I reopen my browser.

How do I fix this?

Hi. I was using for a long time several Firefox windows with few tabs in each window. Usually if i close Firefox and then open again, all windows and tabs where opening. Since recent update, only one window opens, the rest are gone. Can this be repaired to work again?

I am using gmail as my default email client, so that when I click on a mailto link from anywhere, the system (macos Monterey 12.5.1) passes the link to my default browser (Firefox 108.0.1). This used to work just fine until today: now the tab opens as usual, load gmail, I can glimpse at an email with the correct recipient but the tab closes straight away, without giving me any opportunity to interact. I found a very similar post from half a year ago: Clicking on a "mailto" link opens a new tab then automatically closes immediately, but as far as I understand the solution was to restart the computer (which I tried...). I could not find any other lead... Any idea?

Hi I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem. I've set it so that FF asks me if I want to close all tabs when I close a window or exit. This is to restore pages when I restart next. What I've noticed is, this number of tabs in the question only keeps increasing -for example, if I have 50 tabs open, close 10 of them during a browsing session and open 20 more, when I go to exit, it'll ask me if I want to close 80 tabs. And when I start up FF next time, that number 80 just keeps increasing when I open/close tabs. It doesn't seem to be refreshing the 'tab memory'. There needs to be a button perhaps that purges that tab cache and takes a fresh 'reading' of all current tabs open and updating the total number.

Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks

I use Tab Session Manager to save sessions, but when I restore them, they get recorded in browsing history which is annoying. I have the Use the "discarded" property for lazy loading option disabled because I want to see favicons, they help me keep track of what and where my tabs are.

My laptop has 2 keyboards, the first is default laptop keyboard, the second is plugged in usb, i'm using both at the same time

The first works fine when open private mode by shortkeys: Ctrl + Shift + P

But the second one cannot open private mode by shortkeys, although i have tried to refresh, troubleshoot mode

Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this issue?

So when I have a new tab open, type something in the omnibox, and then switch a tab and go back to that previous new tab page, it selects everything that's in the omnibox. See attached gif.

I'd rather have it just stay at the rightmost position instead of selecting everything so that I can keep typing instead of having to press the right arrow key again. Is there a setting to change this functionality?

Firefox has stopped restoring the previous session when launched.

I have the relevant option checked in the settings and have tried deleting the sessionstore* files in the profile folder.

The only sessionstore files I could find were in the sessionstore backups folder with no "*sessionstore*" files within the main/profile folder itself.

Is there any way to change the behavior of the middle click when used on the forward and back buttons in the toolbar? Currently, it opens a tab in the foreground. I want it to open in the background. I know Ctrl + Shift + Left/Middle click works but I would prefer just using the middle mouse button.

Does Firefox provides us with an option to group the tabs. I tried finding it in Firefox Tab's content menu and Settings but couldn't. I tried the Simple Tab Groups add-on but didn't like it. I want to groups the tabs and want them in the tabs section just like How Google Chrome does it?

Hello, I have a big problem with Firefox (109.0.1 64bit). I start Firefox with the help of devilspie2 to a certain position. But Firefox jumps to a different position than specified every time I start it.

I found out now that it only happens when "Open previous windows and tabs" is active in the settings! If I deactivate the setting, the startup works as it should.

I would like to start with multiple tabs, is there any way to get this problem under control?

Hi, In the last month or so(always with latest FF) I've lost all my tabs 3 times.

When starting FF it will just show one new tab and not my previously opened tabs. After a few hours of working, somehow, FF will suddenly (I don't think I even closed and reopened FF) will bring back my tabs.

I keep closing webpages when I am done and when I restart my computer ALL the pages reopen in my browser. I closed 300 tabs, went to Firefox view and cleared the "recently closed tabs" from there. I restarted my computer and 400 were opened again. These tabs keep reappearing again. How can I close these and not have them open again?

I do not use maximized windows rather I layer them. When firefox is in the background, running the cursor across the menu-bar pops up the tab title and does not close. Running the cursor across the menu-bar making sure the cursor does not focus on the menu-bar again closes the info popup. Is there a way to disable the info-popup. When firefox is the focused window the info box closes quickly.
