When I open firefox, the update message appears in the top right of my screen. When I open it, download, and restart firefox, it pops up again, then I repeat my steps, but still nothing. This has been going on for over a month it seems, and nothing has worked so far.

I even uninstalled and re-installed firefox, but it keeps doing this.

Any suggestions?

We get a notice that Firefox update 38.0.1 is available. So, we choose the update option, it downloads, and we restart Firefox to install. Then, shortly after that we get the same notice about version 38.0.1 being available. When we go to "About Firefox" in the Firefox menu, it says we have version 36.0.1. Well, which version do we really have? If the updater thinks it's 36.0.1, no wonder we get constant update notices. That is annoying enough, but my main worry would be that it really is 36.0.1, i.e., a less secure version.

This is on a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.9.5.

I have a Mac OS X 10.9 that has Firefox 34.0 - - it automatically detects a need for a newer version (38.0.1) ... I download/install it ... it asks me to save both or replace ( I replace it) and STILL no updated version. I have repeated this multiple times.

Any advice/help is appreciated.

In Firefox developer edition 40.0a on Mac 10.9.5 Firefox Developer Theme doesn't allow to select tabs, only to close them clicking on the x icon, i had to switch to default theme.

I just upgraded to the latest version of firefox. My online banking web page went screwy. When asked by the Banker what version i clicked on the Firefox (mac version) and all it says is Quit. There us no about Firefox. Did i just get hacked or was this an over-site?

Just today I found that when I click on youtube videos to make them fullscreen, it goes into a fullscreen mode with the both to deny or allow firefox to be in fullscreen. Can I go back to the old and much better and faster full screen that I had yesterday? It took just a millisecond to go to full screen and back again with the old way but the new one it lags for a second to look sleek or something.

e mail via aol ...works fine ...add attachments... get error message "There was a problem sending the message. Please try again later". ( e mail with attachments work fine w safari browser)

For example, I want to access to Google Translate, My personal e-mail, Blackboard, Bank of America, YouTube, etc... and I just click on the toolbar and I open the page I want. I want to do it in Firefox but I have not found the way to do it. Please, look my attachment to see how it looks like in my Safari browser.

I mistakenly installed ASK... i assume it is another search option but ever since it was put on computer my Firefox is crashing. I want to uninstall ASK but not sure how?

I get the blue and white striped image but nothing happens for over an hour - this has been happening for months as previously reported - is there a phone tech I can call - I am extremely frustrated - help - Ron

What Happen to "hide others", "Hide Fire Fox" "Show all" under main menu bar?

I work with multiple windows and its a feature that I use constantly. How do I do this now?

I have been running Firefox Health Report for about 4 hours now; all that is happening is that the circle graphic keeps repeating. Clicking on "Raw Data" does nothing. "File Sharing" is on. I have no idea whether anything constructive is actually taking place.

The Mozilla support article is no help: "You can view a text file of the data that Firefox Health Report collects by clicking on the Raw Data tab. This display shows the exact data that is being sent to Mozilla (if sharing is on)". No it doesn't...

using Firefox 38 on OS 10.9.5. I think there was a recent update of Firefox, but I'm just noticing that file upload and the window for file upload disorganize the folder organizations on my hard drive. I can't figure out if the organizational principle is most recently modified or what. BUT REGARDLESS - I now stare dumbly at the file upload window hunting not only for the file I want to upload but the parent folder it's in.

Is there a setting to orient the file upload window to just show me my hard drive? Is that so bloody hard?

New Tab page shows up with a search bar and a gear in the right hand corner -- when I click on the gear a dropdown menu appears, but none of the options are highlighted with a check nor are they clickable!

I had this website up, then Flash Player came up and said it had crashed for Firefox. I reloaded and restarted with the Adobe Flash player, but my homepage pictures do not appear. It is just a white space.

Whenever I click a link from FB, a tab opens which says "document error - site or page not found". Same thing happens when I search. SEarch results appear but when I click the link the same tab with same message opens
