Mozilla just did some kind of an upgrade and I've lost the option to save files to anything but my downloads folder.

How do I "right click" and save files to specific areas or folders in my computer. I don't like having to open the download folder and drag the files to where I want them to be.

One of the sites I visit frequently is a news and social media monitoring app, and they have structured their URL naming convention as https://xxxxx.app.company.com/, where xxxxx shows the version of the app you are using.

Is there a way to edit the hostname in that file, so that as the updates occur, I can simply pop the new URL in where the old one was?

I have tried to go through all of the things that i could find after searching it up. Most of the links, some pages (eg. my bank) and even plugin page is just ending up on this DNS sokution yahoo error handler. It happened after the newest update and it really annoys me. more than 50 % of the time I have to change to another browser just because of this.

Videos embedded into webpages had started not playing for more than a couple of seconds. I could drag to a new part of the video and always the same thing. (No - it wasn't bufferering!)

BBC iplayer had the same problem.

I disabled the Cisco OpenH264 add-on and everything worked again.

I didn't turn it on so it must have happened in an upgrade. My settings are all straight out of the box - I'm not a computer expert - I use Firefox as it comes.

My question - is this normal? Have I solved my own problem or do I need OpenH264?

I have added the Extension "Awesome Screenshots" to Firefox as I need to capture web pages in my job. But every time I try to Print, either using File Print or the tool bar/menu, I can't print and get this error message: Printer Error ! There was an unexpected problem while printing. I have no problem printing Awesome Screenshots from Chrome or Safari, so it has to be a Firefox issue. Please Help!?

Duplicate (i.e.2) Firefox icons have appeared on my i-Mac toolbar. How do I remove one of these icons, please? Don't want to remove Firefox!! Have tried the "recommended" Apple method, i.e. dragging one of these icons and holding on to it ....then the duplicate icon should disappear. But it doesn't disappear ....the duplicate icon then just "jumps" back on to my tool bar at the bottom of the screen.

Have also tried holding the "command " key and then dragging the unwanted icon and holding on to it ...... but the same thing happens ......instead of disappearing, the icon just "jumps" back to my tool bar. Would be so grateful for any help and advice re the above. Thank you in anticipation of your kind help.

Hi, I'm a photographer not a web designer so excuse my lack of knowledge ... but i have a problem with Firefox displaying my website ... www.rodedwards.com.

I've just installed Wordpress on my server and installed a custom theme for my photography portfolio.

The website displays amazingly well with Chrome and Safari, but it has display errors with Firefox on Mac. The scrolling thumbnails in the galleries seem to download from top to bottom after viewing about twenty images (and reload again when scrolling back). I've tried Hard Refresh but didn't work so i tried Firefox / Help / Restart With Add-Ons Disabled / Start In safe Mode and it then displays great. I'm guessing that this suggests there is a bug in Firefox or the add-ons since i updated to the most recent version of Firefox (now 35.0.1).

Can this be fixed now it's been noted ?

Ps - It's not an image size problem as I've installed a similar copy at www.rodedwardsphoto.co.uk with smaller images and i still get same problem.

Never mind the volunteers! Why the hell can't the creators of Firefox sort this out? But if they don't want to bother then I'll just forget Firefox and carry on with Chrome.

I've tried all the cute little so-called fixes, cleared the cache, even got some silly thing called Speedy Fox but none of it ever works. Please Firefox, just sort it out.

Today I reinstalled Silverlight 8 times and updated Firefox to v.36.0. I also reinstalled the Widevine Media Optimizer. When I updated the Widevine component in Google Chrome, Silverlight began to work in Chrome. So I'm thinking some component in Firefox needs to be updated for it to work in Firefox

In Firefox, Silverlight won't load at Netflix or at Amazon Instant Video. It did work consistently for about a year, but today it quit.

At Netflix I get error code 2103 with reinstall instructions, at Amazon I just get reinstall instructions

I have a MacBook Pro 2.3 GHz, 8GB RAM, Mac OS 10.9.5

What else can I try?

The screen view of a file no longer represents what is happening with the file. Attached are the Firefox version of the file and the Adobe PDF of the same file. Note that the spacing between the quantities is incorrect in Firefox and correct in the PDF of the same information. Also, when I try to add spaces in Firefox, the information does not appear to move, but if a create a PDF of the information those spaces appear as you would expect. This is a big problem for us.

My clippings would not upload using your Image uploader.

I've allowed Firefox Hello download a couple of days ago. dwhelper no longer works. I've tested the extensions. As I only have two, dwhelper and lightbeam, this was easy to do.

I use dwhelper a lot. I use online videos from many sources for my physics and astronomy teaching needs.

This is a problem associated with many video sites, not only youtube.

I've deleted dwhelper and reinstalled it. Started and stopped Firefox. Restarted my macbook pro as well.

Program seems to work up to and including window specifying location to place downloading file.

I must have hit a wrong shortcut or something. My bookmarks bar and menu bar disappeared. I was able to restore the bookmarks bar in customize the usual way. But in every place I can get the little toolbar menu, it only shows the Bookmarks bar, not the the Menu bar How can I get my menu bar back???

My Imac running Mavericks has been functioning perfectly and I have never had a problem uploading files to sites or applications online until two days ago when suddenly I cannot upload anything to any place within FIREFOX. I have found a few places where I can drag and drop a file to upload it but not many (including here - tried to drag an image to upload for you and it froze the page, reloaded it and now I am typing this whole mess over again!) I am a graphic designer and send files through email, and I also build and update websites for several clients, so this is a HUGE problem. I have NO trouble uploading or finding files within applications or programs on my computer itself even now, but the minute I try to open the finder to select and upload a file into FIREFOX I get a blank finder window with just the spinning "loading" symbol and it NEVER finishes and load the window. This is unacceptable. ---- By the way, I also have a Toshiba laptop and it has NO problems uploading files into Firefox. Does anyone know if there is a Firefox patch or something for Mac computers that can help?
