Images will only load if they are inside an <img> tag when overriding websites colors. Images inside <div> or <span> tags need to have the color usage set back to defaults. Is setting it to override colors blocking the whole css file? What of sites that have the image url in the HTML code? They do not display either. I would think there is some way to differentiate between text formatting and background-image styles. Ive played around with various settings a lot already and most of the time I just already know where the missing icon is, but I would like to finally figure this out. Any help, or just fresh ideas, would be awesome

Our company has built an application that is currently used by many banks. Recently, we have updated the application to change from a thick client to a thin client using web browsers. The web based client communicates via SignalR to a local windows service that gets installed in order to talk with a check scanner. The web application is served as an HTTPS web site and the local window service which uses SignalR also runs via HTTPS. When the local windows service is installed, a self-signed certificate is generated and installed on the local computer.

When the web client is run on a Mozilla Firefox web browser, a security exception must be manually added for the localhost URL of the SignalR service. The problem is that in the Add Security Exception dialog, the following text is displayed by Firefox: “You are about to override how Firefox identifies this site. Legitimate banks, stores, and other public sites will not ask you to do this.” Since our applications are used and hosted by banks, this message is not true in our case.

We cannot install a unique signed certificate for every client, which is why we generate a self-signed certificate. We cannot host the local windows service running as just under HTTP, because then the web client cannot communicate with the local windows service due to mixed content security violation. We know the shield in address box on Firefox can disable the protection, but this would have to be done every time.

Is there an alternative to the text in the Add Security Exception from being displayed? Or do you have another suggestion on how to get around this issue? Or can the text in the Add Security Exception dialog box be modified?

Since the update to 38, I cannot find the "tabbed groups" icon and cannot subsequently access any of my tabbed groups. has this feature been removed? Is it coming back? If it does, will it pick up the tabbed groups data from my profile folder and restore them?

I updated the Adobe Acrobat Reader DO in late April, and when I click on the plug-in it shows that the date was March 31, 2015. Version is the same: 15.007.20033. Is there a reason that the date is incorrect?

After updating to FF version 38 on May 14, 2015  I see a NEW Plug-In "Primetime Content Decryption Module provided by Adobe systems Inc.   9.   It does NOT have the functionality to select "ask to activate".  What is this this plug-in  and why is there no option to "ask to activate" ?  This new Plug-in is not listed on the site for checking if plug-ins are up to date?

The Adobe Flash Player has been updated, and there are no problems with that.

I have had more problems with Firefox recently than in all of the years I've used it as my default browser. I hope that someone can provide information which will answer my questions.

Yesterday morning upon opening my browser the size of the address/toolbar across the top of the browser appears much larger. In fact the display of my regular web pages (google calendar, netscape homepage, evernote web, garmin connect and luminosity which are all in my tool bar) also displayed much larger upon clicking on them. I know how to reduce or enlarge the display of those pages by keyboard shortcut "control- or +" or clicking on the +- signs under settings and have already done so. But doing this has no effect on the tool bar size. I do not recall making any changes the night before. I would like to bring the display size of the top of my browser back to previous settings but have yet to find a way to do this. I did try restarting firefox and thus lost my addons and settings but doing this affected no change to the size issue. To confirm that I am not imagining things, I have also observed that the bookmarks, downloads, about:startpage, start a conversation, evernote webclipper and settings icon that I have installed in the toolbar have become fuzzy or out of focus as a result of becoming so large. As screen space is valuable (yes I know I can full screen by f11) I would like to regain original realestate by getting the top display of the browser back to normal size. Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

Real Downloader (real.com) constantly crashes: hovering over a downloadable video should produce a "download this video?" button. This feature rarely works, yet functions fine in CHROME, which I am about to abandon Firefox for. Please do not recommend any of the easy fixes. I am not stupid and have been dealing with this ever since I abandoned IE for Firefox.

Please NOTE that uninstalling and reinstalling Real Player isn't really an option since it doesn't show up in Windows program uninstall and I don't care to do a manual search and destroy.

PLEASE fix Firefox so this stops happening.

I wanted to know if anyone knows why Microsoft put plugins under my add on area? It is all over my programs and computer so that makes no sense to me? I would like to disable this if I doesn't cause problems on my computer. I use the photo gallery.

I also wanted to know how to put the missing software on in Firefox. I don't have Adobe Shock wave, or Java on my computer. I just did a recovery. I was going to do it from the software websites but there are some odd things happening out side your sites that I don't like. This will be such a nice home for me!

FaceBook will not remember my LOGIN (e-mail). (Browser is Mozilla FireFox) - Recently reset Password (not login) for FB - Never changed the LOGIN - subsequently FB kept telling me that my Password was incorrect and had been changed - Went into Menu - Security - Remember passwords and deleted "old" FB password. The "old entry" had BOTH the LOGIN and the Password. The "new" entry only shows the new PASSWORD - does not show the LOGIN. Any information I can find pertains to saving the Password only. Each time I log out and then log back into the site - it now remembers my Password - but not the LOGIN. When I enter the correct LOGIN - there is NO dialog box asking if I want to "Remember this LOGIN or Password" - Have cleared cookies and cache - still NADA - and that's not National Auto !!

Lots of well-meaning folks sending me to links that say "Login and Password" - but seem to ONLY deal with Passwords and not the LOGIN!! Help !! Thanks - BigJohn

The tabs are out of control. A new one opens up when link is clicked. When a tab is selected to view it just deletes. The options controls are doing nothing. it's nuts.

I wiil give a scenareo of what is happining. 1st technical info about my computer O/S: win 7 PRO (64bit), MEM: 12Gb, Im reading my E-mail and Click on a websight like FreeShareware.com it opens up. then I click on an item i Want to look at as soon as I click on it I get a Windows BSD Devide by zero screen Error and my computer reboots. it happens randomly. Maybe 3-5 time per session regardless of what websight I want to go to. When rebbot is done I go back to the same websight and try again and it works and I continue on.
